I am attaching a list of countries with gun problems that tightened restrictions and the gun problem drastically went down.

You're still deluding yourself, I also live in the USA and work with very sensitive data, you are yet to show me a country that had severe gun violence and eliminated the problem by a gun ban. You said you're not asking for a total gun ban then what exactly are you asking for? Universal background checks? Mental evaluation? What exactly are you asking for if you're not calling for a gun ban?

I know America is divided into the liberal nutcase and the Foxnews whackos but I could care less about any of those views, either side is just as bad and only an ignorant person would think otherwise. Once again I ask you, where do you stand? Do you want to take guns away, yes or no? By taking guns away do you think the criminals, the gangsters etc will be at a disadvantage or advantage? Remember over 80% of the guns in the hood comes from illegal sales....THINK ABOUT IT!

P.S. You cannot debunk a list over one incident, did you even take statistics in high school or college? You need a bigger sample, try sampling the past 20 or 30 mass shooters, if majority of them do not fall into either drug abuse, mental illness or terrible childhood then I'll accept defeat otherwise don't argue what you don't know!

I'm a realist, Americans would never go for complete removal of guns, una just dey dream! The sensible option is tackling the things that I've listed and limited automatic assault weapons. Guns won't work without bullets and there's no reason most Americans need to fire 100 rounds at a go.

The solution is to treat the root cause rather than looking at the symptoms. Guns don't kill people, people kill people! American liberals would rather ignore mental health, the collapse of traditional family and the domestication of the male role, drug abuse etc but focus on guns because it is easier to target than to recognize the entire society is a failure.

Go back to my initial post and see all the reasons posted there, stop fixating only on drugs, how does a toddler get access to a gun, this is parental negligence and nothing else. If you studied American history you would know that back in the 80s and early 90s, America had less mass shootings but something changed with the decline of traditional family and the rise of social media, mental illness and drug use. Because criminals don't respect laws. The guns on the streets with no serial numbers are cheaper than buying a phone. The reason most Americans will not give up their guns is simple, when these criminals show up to rob you at home, at your car, office etc, you don't have to wait for police to come, you can defend yourself from those mofos.

Restricting gun laws only accomplsihes one thing, the criminals have weapons and the law abiding citizens do not. America needs to pay more attention to drug supply, mental illness and the decline of the traditional family. Someone was just murdered, they created a group chat plotting revenge with vivid details, one discussed kidnapping, some of them were already involved in a street brawl that led to the death of one person. Even without context of their skin color or personalities, the first thing that comes to mind is GANGSTER! Suspended sentence my foot!

Everybody in Nigeria needs to get a body tracker, a small pin that can be attached to your boxers, pant, shirt etc. The first 24 hours is always crucial when someone goes missing. The police are useless hence if you can help them with a 1km radius of where the person was last seen, they have better tool to work with. Give someone close to you access to that data so that if you ever went missing, they can share the data with the authorities.

Nigeria is not going to get safer, so do the needful and start thinking about prevention before cure. That your phone is not just for looking at memes and bobrisky, it can also save your life if you allow it to track your location and patterns.

Finally, it will not kill you to learn self defense. Having a stunt gun, pepper spray, pocket knife can often be enough deterrent to chase away kidnappers, if you're going to go down might as well go down swinging.

Japan was not nuked out of frenzy or for fun, the leader refused to give up after several warnings, U.S spent over 2 weeks for the government to surrender but it kept attacking and refused to surrender. The war was already 4 years long at this point and it wasn't just the U.S that decided it was time for nukes, the U.K and other signees to the Quebec agreement gave their consent as well, you talk big about bias but the bias in your writeup stinks so high!
