Good morning nairalanders, it's just two months to our Long awaiting election in Nigeria and inec has not started sharing the new registered PVC's. Do they have any hidden agenda, or are they trying to disenfranchised the youth who made up about 60% to 70% of the newly registered voters

I think we need to started speaking up so we can create more awareness for them to know we're still watching.

Since 2020 I have not been in good terms with my dad, and it all started with a little fight about drinking of the water in the fridge and my dad decided to lock the sitting room where the fridge was kept restricting my mom and myself to the room alone as at this time I was in 400lvl and 24years.

My dad doesn't drop money and home so I had to look for means to feed myself which was really new to me cos he has been the one sending money to me in school even thou he doesn't drop at home.

After then we kept having issues about him not giving me a private room in the house even up till now, then on a day like that an issue happened after I beating my 3years old niece he was so angry that he hits me severally at a conered spot that he almost hit my eyes I had to push him on the bed and ran out of the house, then the second day I packed my stuff's and left for school throughout 2021 I didn't come home till December and he didn't bother calling or sent me money not my school fee and project fee I did everything on my own.

I came home late last year and apologized and later I asked him for my school fee which I had not paid as at that time, he kept giving me excuses which I Know he has and left after much talk he gave me #50,000 out of like #150,000 but sincerely I didn't collect it cos I don't know where to get the remains then I got a job and saved up and paid.

Presently I'm very mad at him because he never cared about me or my mum, all he does with his money is to give it to his concubines. It really painful that I had to work for 7-9hours everyday while standing for 1k per day and my dad is out there spending his money for one LovePeddler.

I got into the university at age 18, and i sponsored my throughout till I graduated at age 22. I know my parent dont have so I don't bother asking them for money. I've been hustling since my secondary school days and uptill now am still hustling at age 28, my mum praise me for that.

My point here is that, you're not suppose to be depending on your irresponsible father for assistance at this age. You need to hustle on your own and dont depend on anybody ,that's exactly what I did and it really helped me alot.

Good evening nairalanders, there's this arguement I've been having with some people lately about Nigeria movies and American movies. Sometimes when I tell some people that I dont watch Nigerian movies only American movies, they tend to look at me with a frowning face, like you're a Nigerian and you don't patronize your own thing instead you focus on American movies.
My point here is that, is not as if I hate Nigerian movies, but I feel their producers needs to do more. They don't produce good/inspiring movies, you can tell that from the storyline, to their poor video coverage down to the ending part of their movies, that's where I always have issues with them, they hardly end their movies well. You can know how their movie will end from the beginning part of it. Although I know our govt is not helping at all, especially when it comes to good environment to shoot movies, and also financial support to get good production equipment for our movies industry. But govt has no part in writing the storyline of a movie, it has to do with the producers themselves.

The reason why am so addicted to American movies is because those guys produce good and inspiring movies , movies that you can learn from as a person that want to achieve success. Though is not all their movies, but majority of their movies are good, ranging from intelligence, comedy, love, science,biographies etc. It's really inspiring. You hardly see biography movies been produced in nollywood, I dont want to mention others because I know we dont have the wherewithal to produce it. Like science and crime. Nollywood producers are not smart enough to come up with such ideas, they're too primitive in their production.

So my point here is that, patronizing Nigerian movies as a Nigerian is not the main thing for me, but producing good/ inspiring movies is what I crave for, and that's what Hollywood producers give to me. Watch movies like the founder( the success story of the owner of McDonald's fried chicken), the hidden figures ( the story of the black woman that gave the formula NASA used in moving to space). Very inspiring movies and you can learn from them . But our nollywood producers can't do that. Is not as if they're no great men here in Nigeria or Africa we can put their success story into acting ,or great happenings we can also put into acting too, but our dumb producers wont do that, they're contented with their local way of acting.

Although lately they're trying, I noticed they call foreign producers like Netflix to produce some of their movies, so I can see changes, like lion heart movie, blood sisters, but it didn't end well, and also this otedola's daughter university movie, I can't remember the name. I really commend them for that one. But our producers need to do more, they can get storyline from different areas of life , is just for them to stretch themselves and push further, with time our movie pattern will change.

Is just my opinion though.

Hello everyone. I need help. Around May 2022, I had a fling with a girl. We had what I couldn't even call sex in the real sense of it. About a month later I was seriously sick with fever, headache, cough that refused to go, I had to go to a hospital where test was carried out and I was told I had an infection slcoa my white blood count was 11700 microliter and I was admininstered with Sulfamethoxazole and trimethoprim which worked well cos in the space of 2 hours I was relieved and all the symptoms disappeared.

I then went to use ciprofloxacin again and I started developing rashes on my forehead again, I used the same cream and it turned to dark spots. After the whole thing I started feeling very hot around my neck and chest every morning and it only reduces anytime and walk around or Jog, there was no sweat whatsoever.

I haven't tested yet cos I believe my risk is such a low risk, some even said I had no risk but I have kept having panic attacks evevrythime and I am also scared of running a test.

Please Doctors in the house what infection could it be and what are the odds that it could be HIV under such circumstances?

You no get sense at all, why didn't you do HIV test even if they didn't do it for you, you should have to them to do it na.

You better go and do that test for your own good. So you can be clarified.
