cutebear:Seriously. I just had this news pop up on google and I had to click to be sure I'm not seeing double cos this year feels like they landed just 3 people. Canada breaks all-time immigration record by landing 401,000 immigrants in 2021 https://www.cicnews.com/2021/12/canada-breaks-all-time-immigration-record-by-landing-401000-immigrants-in-2021-1220461.html#gs.kaolaz |
ka59:You have to wait until you leave |
Thanks to everyone that answered the IOM payment question, I finally did a phone transfer and printed out the receipt. |
Lagosboy12:Ok you are not in a competition with over 190k people, you're the only over 30 year old guy in the pool who has money for the process and doesn't mind going through the pnp route. With time and prayers, you will surely get the letter you've been longing for ![]() This your plan could have worked in 2017/18 maybe but now PnP is no longer something you settle for, especially since FSW draws have been paused for a year now, PNP has become one of the only options available to most people. Delay and point hustling has become a part of the process. With this your plan, all you'll be doing is sitting in the pool and getting older. The options available to you are maxing out your ielts, getting a higher degree, or/and learning French, 30s is not old age. Alternatively, rather than just waste your money to sit in the pool, you can also consider the possibility that Canada might not be the best fit for you and try other countries. |
Allegory:Anybody? |
Please people that did medicals at IOM, can I pay via my bank app ahead for my appointment tomorrow or must I go to the bank to make the payment? The crowd at banks these days |
GraciousWords:Oh I had all his work history there, I'd delete. Thanks |
GraciousWords:Thank you Please in the documents to submit, they're requesting work letter for spouse but I didn't claim any points for Canadian work experience for spouse. Do they usually request work letters for Nigerian work experience of someone who's not the primary applicant? Cos in the completeness check documents they wrote |
Hey guys, I noticed they didn't ask for WES in the place where I'm to upload documents post ITA. Do they not need it. Also I did WES for just my MSc though I mentioned my BSc under education history, do I need to upload my BSc certificate? Also I lost my old passport and there's a part where I'm supposed to mention trips outside the country, I used my email to get the dates from old flight tickets. Is it a big deal if I miss the dates of entry and exit by a day or two. |
Lagosboy12:I think you need to read more on the process. A few provinces pick from the pool and ask you to apply while for others you have to express your interest directly to the province. Ontario picks from the pool but your score of 385 is way too low. I think the first thing to do is figure out ways to add about 70-100 more points to your score so you stand a chance of competing with the scores in the pool. Provinces don't just pick anyone, most have different requirements so you need to go to their sites and read up their requirements. Your NOC, years of experiences, siblings in Canada are some of the things different provinces look out for. And as someone said, don't select Quebec. |
Theyolu:Give it another 24 hours, they were doing a system maintenance yesterday. |
GraciousWords:Thanks so much. I click on all the question marks, just wanted to be triple sure because it says in bracket (multiple documents) or somethinf like that and my current passport is very new which means I'd just be uploading only the data page. |
Please when filling PR application, do you have to submit pages of old passports that have visa stamps or is that just from your current passport |
Canadahome:Thank you so much |
GraciousWords:I haven't submitted my application yet, still waiting to do upfront medicals first. Guess what I want to know is, at the end of the application would I be given the option to pay the application fee without the RPRF |
hAlexandro:I tried that earlier and logging in got a bit easier. Thanks |
Hi guys, When I got ITA, I think I remember being asked if I'm choosing to pay the RPRF when submitting my application, and I think I ticked yes. (Can't even say if this really happened or I was on a different site cos I've tried to find the page and I can't). Anyway now I'm rethinking paying the RPRF with my application cos it's a lot of money to spend now and if rather pay it sometime next year b4 it's even requested. Problem now is, I don't remember if it was somewhere in my application that I selected that I was going to pay it no awnd if I did, does that mean I have to pay it now or is there still a place down the line in the application where I'd be given the option to not pay it right now. I hope someone understands my question |
gbemmyusuf:Wow congrats, timeline is not bad at all. I'd really like to read the full gist so biko come back soon. All these 'full gist loading' people don't use to come back again these days |
imarrpopson:This happens to me a everytime. I just keep repeating the process until I'm logged in |
It's been 2 days since the convicted rapist showed up online, that's the longest absence since he got a phone. I wonder what happened. Has he changed his moniker? Have prison officials finally found his phone or a fellow inmate has taken him out of his miserable existence? The biggest lesson to be learned from this thread is that actions have consequences. This is one of the first lessons parents teach their kids but some parents simply fail in this regard. From the child rapist who wants to be freed after just a few years in jail, to the supporter who wants to be ignored (without even an apology) after it was proven that he'd been blindly supporting a rapist. It's clear that many people just simply take actions without thinking of their consequences until it's too late. If you're one of such people who weren't taught this 'actions=consequences' lesson as a child, biko try and learn it now before you find yourself sitting behind bars in a foreign country, talking about 'Case of mistaken in Identification' ![]() Edit: Oh I see one guest viewing, is that you International child rapist? |
horlamilekan23:If you get an int'l account number and use this to withdraw, how do you finally get the money pls. I'm looking into opening an account. |
I thought I was coming to read the outpouring of PPR gist, only to meet an empty thread. Sultty:This is online. Check page 1 for ielts materials |
chatinent:Respect from someone like you don't mean anything to someone like her so you can as well disrespect her. Last time I checked, this was your thread, so she can tag you as many times as she wants. You couldn't think of anything better to do with your imaginary huge following than to give the platform to a convicted child rapist. This criminal came online with his wishy washy story that was full of holes from page 1, including his shady previous posts on nairaland; he had been accused and convicted of raping a 13 year old child and had no evidence to prove he didn't do it yet you chose to give him the benefit of the doubt for some reason. He started a thread and nairalanders saw through his bs immediately and shut him down but you opened up a thread and canvassed for him. When 1stGenAmerican tried to tell people about the deeply incriminating things in this man's transcripts, you claimed you had also read the transcripts and you felt this man deserved a chance. Leading others to believe that maybe whatever was in the transcripts wasn't as bad as 1stgenAmerican made it seem. Leading others to gang up on her. I'm willing to believe you did all this due to naivety because I already concluded you were really naive the moment you agreed to exchange e-mail correspondence with a felon who boldly says he's typing from prison. What irks me is how once the evidence came out about this man indeed being a professional sex offender, you seemed to have totally lost all the zeal you once had for fighting for victimised people. You can somehow manage to work up the fire to fight for a convicted sex offender in several threads, posts, e-mail correspondence but can't type up one clear post denouncing him or apologising for helping him decieve others or showing empathy for his victim(s). Its clear that a lot of people in this thread do not really understand what it means to rape a child. Everyone in your gang is concerned about his 1 million life sentences as if he has any business walking the streets ever again. No one cares about the poor child that might one day read the thread when she decides to search the rapist's name. The thread is clear proof that there a many men like Bah walking the streets. People who think raping a child is no big deal. People who would give a convicted child rapist the benefit of the doubt even when there's DNA evidence against him and he has a criminal record. People who'd type 100 posts about how 3 life sentences is a cruel sentence before they type one sentence about how raping a child is absolutely vile and disgusting. 'Wow' is not enough, denounce Bah with the same passion with which you supported him. You literally were Bah's mouth piece in this thread and now that its all over you think you can just walk away by pretending you've been sitting on the fence all along. Y'all think you can do whatever you like online and one day delete you accounts and it will be all over but Bah is a good example to show that all rapists and rape apologists will one day get what's coming to them. |
Prettiepearlz:Post edited, thanks for your kind words |
dickson2000:However, if your Masters is taking too long and you have one of those nocs in demand right now or any other reasons you can't wait to get in the pool immediately (because nothing is actually happening in the pool right now), then it might be worth spending the twice |
JuneDindu:Both times I got my transcript, I never called any number. I can't remember exactly but there was a space to type details or something. I just found a space there to type my WES reference number |
tolakush92:How are you at Igbobi and still cooking okro in someone's house |
remi1444:This guy is just scum. There are a lot of men like him in Lagos who feel they can whip out their dicks whenever they're 'Hot' and do whatever they please. He's gotten so used to it that he decided to export the talent. I'd like to see how his supporters and prayer warriors spin this one. Or him too, since he's still online. Also how can I contact the Georgia prisons to tell them he's got a phone, anyone? He needs to be in solitary confinement staring at walls and reflecting on his very bad behaviour. |
hillony:I just checked again to be sure. The only dates there are the dates I took the exam then the date beside the administrators signature which is the day I collected the results. But I just noticed they wrote on the certificate that the test should be rewritten 2 years from the test date, so I'm just going to use the date I took the test. |
