I Went to make a fix deposit of about #500,000 last week at GTbank then I received a call the next day from the staff that helped me in opening the fixed deposit account that he will like to see me the next day which was on Saturday. He described his place of residence to me and I went to see him.
He told me that a friend of his that is about traveling abroad wants to sell his car that he needed about #160,000 to add to wot he has now and since I came to make a fix deposit he felt I won't be using the money now and I should pls borrow him and he would pay back in 2months time. Although I made it clear to him that I cnt do such a thing moreover u work in a bank and can easily take a loan which from there u would be paying bit by bit.
Pls my question now is does he have access to take my money without my permission??

As long as you have the Contract Letter (evidence of fixed deposit) duly signed and stamped, you don't have to fear about your cash, it is safe!

You are asking unintelligent questions and perhaps rhetorical. I just painted in the above case study in A.B.U., a typical scenario of average Nigerians' attitude towards environmental sanitation, why don't you extrapolate from that.
For your information, I have done field works that have taken me round Nigeria (to about 27 states and FCT) so I don't just sit in one corner and use cheap data to assume.

Metallic waste bins should be constructed and stationed at every bus stop, inside all buses, trains and at strategic places on the roads.
Nigerians should as well learn to use waste bins and not throw out rubbish on the roads, especially through the window when on a journey. I get disgusted when I see people doing that. Wait till you get to a nearby bin or take it home.
Cleanliness is next to godliness.

Nigerians love throwing trash indiscriminately. You need to use an 'iron rod' to compel them to use the trash cans (waste bins). I remember back then in school (A.B.U. Zaria) when Prof Mahadi was the V.C, he provided waste bins at short-intervals all over the campus and empowered the security personnels to do the enforcement. You dare not be caught throwing 'pure' water satchet or other wastes 'anyhow', you could be suspended. You dare not cross the flowers or pass through 'unapproved routes' in d name of shortcut, wetin security go carry you do, you will live to remember forever! This is d only kind of 'language' Nigerians respect/understand.

You can't compare NY with Nigeria na. NY has a comprehensive database of information about (almost) everyone. You are registered at birth, at marriage, or as immigrant, visitor etc so it takes only few minutes for them to cross-match and track you down unlike in Naija where there is no such data, not everyone is registered even at birth. Google map can't even locate some areas in Naija. Do you know that some areas in Naija don't have Telecom network yet? Though NPF are sometimes useless but dem d try sometimes considering the enormous Naija challenges.

Let me educate you son, what we have here is a result of mismanagement by the state governors.
2, Lack of fear of sanctions from the federal by the state governors. I loved PDP for one thing, if as a state governor, you start embezzling to the extent thst you can't pay your people's salaries and pensions, from Abuja they will start shopping for your replacement. Ask mbadinuju, Sylva, Ohakim etc. You won't get second tenure. But that is lacking in APC where the governors can collect bail out funds and ship it abroad and no presidency will bother. And APC sadly can't sanction them because they don't want you lose an important figure like a governor. On a normal day, nobody should give Yahaya Bello a return ticket, but APC will despite his failures.
Thirdly, the greed level of the present crop of politicians in APC is unprecedented. A crop that can siphon the whole Paris fund while the huge outstanding workers debt still persist. No conscience among them.

What are you saying? Who is PDP and who is APC? more than 80% of former governors (or governors) did two tenures, so according to you they performed creditably well that's why they were returned for 2nd tenure yet we are where we are today. I just pity your sense of reasoning if at this point in time a Nigerian youth is still hailing these 'rogues' (based on party affiliation).
There seems to be no hope for this country!

Besides ask any Bayelsan to compare Sylva and Dickson and you would be amazed and you would stop talking rubbish. Dickson got his 2nd tenure on the basis of sympathy for GEJ who had lost his re-election bid.

South Africa has fallen into recession for the first time in eight years after economic growth shrank by 0.7% between January and March.
The downturn, due to weak manufacturing and trade, follows a 0.3% fall in GDP in the final quarter last year.
It is the first time that economic has slowed for two consecutive quarters - the technical definition of a recession - since 2009.
The value of the rand fell by 1% on the currency markets.
Analysts had expected GDP to grow by 0.9% during the first quarter. However, Joe de Beer, deputy director general of Statistics South Africa, said: "We can now pronounce that the economy is in recession."
He added: "The major industries that contracted in the economy were the trade and manufacturing sectors."

He said he's not sure his parents are okay with it and yet they call me EVERYDAY to assure me nothing will go wrong and to cheer me up and all.. i questioned him cos it made me feel he was looking for an opportunity to leave..and he didnt give me any reply, just stopped talking to me.
Our introduction was slated for next year, he is my first love, I've been so loyal nd i pray for him.. I feel so used and heartbroken..my instincts tell me something is wrong..I'm back to square 1, where would i start from? He was my best friend, my everything..now, it's just me

Hotel food is usually over priced. I would tell you what I do.
I get to the hotel, take a shower and then a slight stroll to the main street, find posh buka and chop. On my way to the hotel, I stop at an eatery and buy night time snacks.... I sometimes stock my fridge with drinks purchased off site (depending on how long I intend to stay).........
At certain times, I indulge myself at the bar (man cannot live by juice alone)........

Correct guy! My wife will never allow me buy any food in a hotel unless there is no any other option. Even when I am reluctant to stroll, she doesn't mind going alone to get food and even water & drinks outside....
I once paid 2k for boiled plantain (three small pieces) and egg sauce in a hotel in Benin city meanwhile the menu price was 800 Naira only for d lady to tell me that was old price, chaiiiii, these ppl no d fear God.

An uncle of mine gave his daughter a car gift on her wedding day. Both marriages are yet to break up. If a man cannot handle the fact that his woman is from a well to do family, why go ahead?
Communication between a couple is very important. They have to be able to discuss anything and agree.

The bride or groom may receive such a personal surprise gift, however, everything has to become for the 'family' and not for the wife nor the husband. There would be issues where one person wants to claim sole ownership. My wife's car is our car and my car is still our car.

Well, lecturing isn't bad but if you are going into it for money, get ready to be frustrated! I left lecturing (in a first grade federal university) for something else and I am not regretting, though I would still go back someday.
OP, not every profession begins as graduate assistant, I started as an assistant lecturer. My senior colleagues (profs and PhDs) almost 'dried me up' with tasks; they will send me to administer test on their behalf, give me hundreds of scripts to mark overnight, I was having sleepless nights every day and getting more frustrated!

The powers that be manipulated the APC ticket and gave it to him without any primaries. The matter was taken to court and seeing that the preliminary proceedings were not in his favour, he pleaded for out of court settlement and eventually the plaintiffs withdrew the case.

You are as ignorant as you sound! There is no such thing like perfect husband or wife...marriage is an "empty basket" that you (couple) can only take out what you put into it.
A woman who puts into this basket stuff like my husband is wicked, he doesn't love me, he is useless, I can't forgive him; over my dead body, I can't cook for him coz he has offended me etc...would definitely reap the fruits of what she has sown. The same thing goes for the man.
Marriage is a union, it is a work in progress, forget about "self" and embrace "we", the couple must learn to support each other overcome their weaknesses; for instance my wife has anger as her weakness and we have been working on it 2geda. I don't take anything she says in anger too hard on me and I don't react to it harshly. I have been teaching her how to control herself when angry and she is doing pretty good.
I don't know how to give compliment on make up, new hair style, dressing, etc. and I don't knw hw to say 'I luv you' as often as she would prefer but she has been teaching me and gradually I am becoming much better at it.
