NdiIgbo, please, come and discuss what you understand by nrubeisi (obedience) and ndebeiwu (law keeping). Dee ma kowaa na asusu IGBO. |
My possible line up. Turnbull Azcupuleta Bertrand Romeu Ivanovic (capt) Cahill. Moses Ramires Piazon Marin. |
nateevs: What's the story about? There is sense in what he is saying. But it doesn't always work out that way. |
@Ibime, We have to use what we have to get what you want. There is no club in this world that does not lack one thing or the other. No one always gets what he want but must move on. |
^^^ we are not encouraged to start threads or post here regularly by the admins. Most of the topics we deal with does not get to the frontpage while we watch illelevant threads make it up there all the time. Look at that thread by Ezeagu on ancient Nigerian buildings, painting and acrchitecture and compare it with what you see in the frontpage. As a result of poor patronage, he single handedly ran that page to where it is today. No wan wants to to do that all on his/her own. |
CEASEFIRE |
@Topic, it doesn't matter if they are raised in AlaIgbo or not, but the best candidates is the in thing. Probably the Poster is making a reference to Israel that produced leaders who were all born outside Palestine that destroyed all the Islamic nations put together in the middle east in '67. |
Marouanne Fellaini. |
I love the Kalabari culture. Can any one nice here educate us about the Kalabari women fattening culture. |
ijaw citizen: Andrew Uweh, arch enemy of the Ijaw nation! pls go away, we don't need you here. I can't just understand why anything Ijaw attracts you. Now you have intruded by telling us how you admire us, I guess very soon you will start saying silly things like "ijaw betrayed igbo", "ijaws are MIXED with igbo", "Igbos founded Ijaw towns" etc. By the way, we are no longer ur "EASTERN NIGERIA NEIGHBOURS" anymore or are you still living in the 60's & 70's? We've got all the peace we need directly from God in Ijawland, so WE DON'T NEED UR IGBO PEACE. Now fcck off!Am not guilty of all the things you have accused me of in this your above post. I'm in a Kalabari thread not Ijaw thread. To the best of my knowlede, there is an Ijaw thread in this forum, yet I did not post there. LONG LIVE KALABARI NATION. |
killayut: We have to go bye what the people call themselves. A typical Rivers man calls them Igbo but many of them detest that.Just as Kalabari man will not want to be called Ijaw. You know it, should I bring Kiwi back?. |
Good people of Kalabari land, greetings to you all. Am not Kalabari but your Eastern Nigerian neighbour. I admire everything about the Kalabaris and the Kalabari nation. May the peace of our Lord be with you all. http://amachree.com/_wsn/page2.html |
^^^He has said it that he is not Ijaw. Why are you forcing him to be Ijaw. He is a proud Kalabari man and his wishes and opinions must be respected. Long live Kalabariland. |
The sultan to me is a religious leader just like Eze Aro and Nri. So in this case minus Sultan, it should be as follows. Asagba of Asaba Alafin of Oyo. Oba of Benin. Obi of Onitsha. Shehu of Borno. Tor Tiv Etsu Nupe Obong of Calabar Olu of Warri. Olubadan of Ibadan. |
O.U. K in this instance hasn't said people should vote for him as president come 2015. He wants an Igbo as president and that could be anyone from the south south or south east Igbo. |
dayokanu: He definitely can't be Yoruba. His ways are far from that of a Yoruba. His names are not those of Yorubas. In your words, Chibuike ROTIMI Amaechi and Ojo Maduekwe are Yorubas. Must you always comment?. |
afam4eva: THis is not about what Niger-Delta means but what that name depicts in the Nigerian context. Niger-Delta simply means oil producing areas. You are right Afam. But originally, the Niger Delta refers to areas now in Rivers, Bayelsa and Delta states. Apart from European explorers, geographers and historians, our own Kenneth Dike and Obaro Ikime have carried out ground works in the Niger-Delta region. They never saw it as outside the states I have mentioned here-Bayelsa, Rivers and Delta states. Udo diri gi. |
Tittos: Niger Delta is made up of nine states..Ondo,Imo and Owerri are Niger Delta states.there is a difference between south-south geo political zone and niger delta..niger delta states are states found acrosss the Delta of river Niger, they all have oil in commercial deposit..go do your research bro..Boy, am from Imo state and I know about my state as well as Abia state very well. I have equally read the works of K. Dike about Niger-Delta. Imo and Abia as well as Akwa Ibom are oil producing state but has nothing to do with Niger Delta. By Niger delta, it is where the Niger River empties into the atlantic ocean from different estuaries. They are in Delta, Rivers and Bayelsa states. |
I will be there as usual. |
@Topic, they are not in Nairaland because Nairaland did not draw them out at the initial stages of the forum. At first Nairaland was just like any other Nigerian forum mostly with Yoruba forumites. The forum grew bigger when Ndigbo began to checkmate their lies and actions. This is why Ndigbo and Yorubas constitute about 70% of Nairaland. Secondly, low level of education in the north. Thirdly, less number of Northerners abroad. |
nateevs: Free kicks are not all about just striking the ball aimlessly.Mata and David Luiz have tried so unsuccessfully at those kicks. I wonder who will score from free kicks for us. |
Free kicks are very important in football matches, but who will score free kicks for us at Chelsea. When are we going to see one?. |
Niger-Delta: Rivers, Bayelsa and Delta states. South-South: Akwa Ibom, Cross River, Rivers, Bayelsa, Delta and Edo states. Oil Producing States: Imo, Abia, Delta, Rivers, Akwa Ibom, Bayelsa, Ondo (Edo and Cross River). @Topic, though there are so many ethnic groups in the Niger Delta, the Ijaw is the largest. In the South South, it is not clear which ethnic group is the largest. Ndigbo, Efik-Ibibio, Ijaw and Edo are large groups. They all have populations of over 4 million each. |
PATIENCE PLEASE. QPR are no pushovers. Chelsea dropped all the points at Shepherd's Bush last season yet they were not as strong as they are now. QPR have bought one of the best keepers in Europe. Also they bought good players. Believe me, not many teams will get a point at Shepherd's Bush this season. |
dayokanu: How many people hate Igbos? Yoruba, Hausa, Ijaw, Berom, Tiv, Who else? Chinese, Mongolian Arab?Aszhole, get out of this thread you bloody oil souper. IJAW/IGBO Imbroglio is an eastern affair as well as a family affair. Scram, bloody fool. |
@Odumchi, most Isiala Mbano speak same dialect. But Ehime is different. In Ehime Mbano, communities such as Nsu,Nzerem and Umunumu speak the same dialect spoken in Isinweke/Obowu axis. Though Umualuwaku up to Aba branch are different but it is closeer to Isinweke/Obowu dialects. For example in Isinweke/Obowu dialect=Ogbalaghala (he has ran away)is same in all parts of Ehime but not same in Isiala. |
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/NIgerianWorldForum/message/28003 @Agbontaen, read the above link again before commenting. Your Obi, the Obi of Owa is a proud Igboman and supports anything Igbo. He wrote a book which he talked about Owa's Igbo ancestry. He repeated it in the same link above. If the Obi did not support Biafra does not mean he isn't Igbo. Minus this monarch, there were other notable Igbo people who did not support Biafra. You Biafran logic here is baseless in this arguement. Just accept defeat that you have lost it. An Ika man has thrashed you in this thread and what else do you want. |
@Agbontaen, read the link provided here and see for yourself how your Obi of Owa has been clamouring for his people to be engaged more in Igbo activities. I do not know why you are so stubborn in defeat. Proud Ika men have handed you some assault yet you continue to showcase idiocy here. http://groups.yahoo.com/group/NIgerianWorldForum/message/28003 |
ezeagu: https://25.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_m9foc9Hp9c1qjh37to1_500.jpgThe punitive expedition, was it in 1901 or 1902?. |
ISINWEKE GREETINGS. Dede, Dee-- sighi anwunooo. Wunoko---sighi anwunoo. Dada, daa--sighi anwunoo Obowu ama iri na ano--si unu emele nwuchu Ihitte mba asaa--unu anwuchule oooh. Uboma ndi ogu ukwu--Ya dikwara unu mma ooh. Response Ma ghi kwaoo. Anwuchukwele ooh Emekwala nwuchu ooh. Ihaaaa. In Isinweke and sorrounding areas, we do not say Isee (amen) as others but we use Ihaaa instead. |
timbros: I dont agree at the bolded. You may say its hard but dont say its not possible. Drogba achieved it without penalty kicks. Free kicks maybe, but without penalty kicks.Drogba did score some penalties when Lamps wasn't playing. He also scored a penalty against Wigan in the 8-1 demolition of Wigan in the final day. |
