So Oshiomhole now realizes he's a clueless midget before the senate. He thinks dealing with the senate is easy like using Edo state money to import oyinbo pepper from Cabo Verde? Make dem dey threaten there na. Why dem nor carry all their DSS & tanks to besiege NASS na? Yeye feefoe. ![]() |
Interesting. |
OK. Interesting. |
Stemalex: ![]() That guy face vex me gan gan. 8 years as governor, nothing to show for it. As much as I respect Sir Gabriel (Knighthood is typically used with first name unofficially, before they accuse me of disrespect), he could have made Lucky leave at least JUST ONE legacy as governor. After all, Esama's reputation helped his son in no small measure politically. But Alas nothing to write home about. Lucky's failure propelled Oshiomhole as governor. All Oshio had to do is do VISIBLY and cosmetically better than Lucky. |
ogbonti:Lol. Bribe? Why bribe? After a certain period (often 5 to 7 years, less or more in a few cases) of lawful residence WITHOUT a criminal record in most Western countries, you qualify for naturalization. That is how most foreigners become citizens and get a passport. So after 34 years it's pretty RARE to still not have a passport. I know at least 50 people who got their passports that way in USA. One relative's 9 children did so that way. The first child left in 1986. She went join her hubby there. After becoming a citizen, she sponsored her immediate junior sibling to join her. That is how one after they sponsored all the siblings. Even their parents live mostly in America now. The reason many take longer to get their passport is when they enter the country illegally, stay illegally when visa expires or otherwise stay unlawfully. That way most of that period of illegal stay won't count towards qualifying duration. Unless an amnesty is declared for people of long clandestine stay, which is rare these days. UK used to have 15 years of illegal stay to qualify but it's now 20 years! If you can avoid been caught and deported within that period. ![]() |
Abdul3391:Esama title in Benin Kingdom is historically bestowed on an accomplished, upright, wealthy philanthropist. Often required to feed the poor. Which this Esama actually did, setting up soup kitchens in Benin in the 1980s. In the days when fine clothes and beads/pearls were very expensive, an Esama had to be stupendously wealthy, even by the standards of those centuries ago. This is because he was required to dress up daily nearly as grand as the Oba. While the Oba had/has a dedicated Royal Sartorial Guild led by Chief Uwangue of Benin Kingdom, the Esama has/had to finance his own fine clothes/attire alone. An Esama was/is also a frequent emissary of the Oba to big occasions both home and abroad. He would dress so richly that his oriki/praise name is "Esama whose feet do not touch the mud". It is therefore not a title inherited by the first son. The Oba selects a deserving philanthropist when the title becomes available. |
Well nobody is using koboko to force anyone to wash boxers. A girl can wash boxers and clean and yet have other character traits that make her totally "unwifeable". In any case only very few girls will do that without material gain in return, such as rent or school fees, maintenance cost covered by bf. So even if no marriage at the end, it's pretty even or more gain by the girl. |
mrjojo:And these are supposed to be the better educated generations of women o. |
Zombies won't see anything wrong with this o. Even if it reduced to 0.00, they still won't see anything wrong with it. They are programmed that way. ![]() |
Wait o, are they saying he didn't qualify for a US passport all this while? Haba! This is seriously heartless. Non-disabled Nigerians abroad should always try to invest at least a little in Nigeria. You never know. It takes only one crazy populist leader to bring tough rules against foreigners. Including stripping of citizenship acquired through naturalization for flimsy reasons/legal infractions. |

And this is the country Ogbonayan Onu wants people to return from Diaspora to. A place that the justice system is so mistrusted that people resort to jungle justice. One of them could easily be a victim of kidnap too. Held against his will to present a front as a normal passenger in order that victims will not be suspicious getting into the car. |
eyeview:His cool, calm, collected and political manoeuvring skills scare the poo out of zombies. While I hardly support any politicians, seeing zombies fret and sweat is very refreshing. ![]() |
Ojiofor:APC are pathetic. Which executive power has VP? In OBJ's second term, Atiku was sidelined for initially trying to stop OBJ's second term. OBJ reportedly had to go on his knees to beg him. OBJ never forgave that. Which latitude had Atiku to do restructuring? Pathetic. |
Nobodys:I agree with you. To press home that beauty alone wasn't his focus. In your comment his handsomeness was the only focus. Nothing on the boy whose call was picked. ![]() |
Ikpongiton: ![]() I am not against tasty vintage wine na. I just stated the facts. ![]() |
Nobodys:Yet no pretty "young lady" attracted him. He married a woman 25 years older than him. Wife's first child is 41. This president is 40. |
zinnyzee:My dear may we all live a long, healthy, happy and fulfilled life. Amen. RIP to the late soldier and condolences to his loved ones. |
Ioannes:Most Americans who can afford to travel do travel. Many go tracing where their ancestors came from in Europe. From Ireland to Scotland, England to Germany, from Italy to Poland. Many also travel to Mexico. Around 20% of Americans travel abroad. Roughly 36% have a passport. America being so diverse in terms of climate, culture, geography, time zones, US offers much opportunity for cheaper internal travel experience. The major reason more do not travel abroad. Interesting destinations are fairly far away, costing much money. Many there still cannot afford it. Another important reason. |
AljaanIVQ007:6 months between trad wedding & church wedding without sex for that matter. Who does that? Why not do both very close? Maybe they wanted an elaborate ogbonge reception after the church wedding and see where it landed them. She could easily have murdered the unfortunate guy with a kick, rupturing an organ and succumbing to internal bleeding. |
Na so women dey. Many will do Donatus to irresponsible boys and get pounded like Akpu. Yet pretend like Mother Theresa to a decent eligible guy. If you are so holy-holy, then at least be a virgin. They won't even allow the decent guy who will pay bride price and honour her with marriage enjoy the left-over in peace. I have never understood the logic behind it. |
1970s ABBA attire reloaded. |
Our legal system is useless. How is it rape? Is it that he had sex with her against her will? Or they think women of 40 do not consent to sex with young men in their 20s? Is there tribal prejudice at play because people bearing double English name are very unlike to be from that axis by origin? Has autopsy with toxicology been done? Suppose she died of heart attack or stroke, what evidence is there that rape caused it? Very bad. |
brixton:I would have disbelieved her in the past. But currently I have a relative who is 10 and just beginning JSS2. Another is 14 and has completed secondary with good grades. Passed JAMB too. I have a relative born in 1986 and graduated with a BSc in 2004, aged 18. Now at 32 she's worked for over 11 years, married and has completed her family/kids. So 8 years from now if she has her first child nearly graduating and another at university, nobody will believe she's 40. Very possible, even if uncommon. |
enonche85:Again international law was broken. The political masters who allegedly ordered the operation & their associates have been hit with sanctions. Since the direct people involved in ordering and executing cannot be extradited to the UK. So sanction like this is the only tool available mostly. |
mightiersa:People easily forget that. Al Fayed used to own the most prestigious shopping store in UK, Harrods. There an Ankara blouse can sell for £300! After spending decades living in UK and employing thousands of people in his business ventures, he was denied a UK passport. UK voted to leave EU primary to prevent fellow Europeans like Poles, Bulgarians, Romanians, Latvians, Lithuanians, Hungarian & others (largely young and hardworking educated/trained workforce) from "flooding" the UK. Much less someone going to earn money WITHOUT adequate work permit. He should have known better to apply for an "Artist Visa". |
What of the one constituting authoritarian nuisance? He has to be the worst. ![]() Osun & Ekiti have relatively low income. So their governors are most likely to struggle with salaries & executing capital projects. Those states are among around a dozen that didn't need to be created, but military dictators decided to. |
gregyboy:Actually I do not eat regular American long white rice. It's only starch/sugar. I will eat riced milled in the village with mortar & pestle anytime. I choose brown rice, whether Basmati brown or Brown long rice. Because these taste closest to the local rice I had the chance to eat visiting the village as a kid. It turns out they are also far healthier both nutritionally and with high fibre/bran/gem content. So we're all different. Either way, we still attach much value to imported stuff. All countries that are successful today attach much value to locally made product, even if they still import stuff. With better processing machinery, stones can be removed from locally processed rice. Why do we have all these Universities of Agriculture & Technology? |
MrAnele:Both father & son may share DNA, but half (actually more than half if you include mitochondria DNA that comes from mother only) the son's DNA comes from his mother, so different. Only identical twins have the same DNA. |
gregyboy:Yep we like to live above our means. And it has been catastrophic for us: normalisation of corruption, get rich quick schemes (419, yahoo plus, money rituals) and too much importation putting pressure on the Naira plus trade deficit with the West. I doubt your claim of best economy in Africa. From my experience, Morocco has a better run economy, Tunisia too. Botswana, Namibia & South Africa are better economies too. All have well below 70 to 75% poverty rate of Nigeria. Nigeria can hardly boast of a better economy than Rwanda, Ghana or Ethiopia these days. What Nigeria has is a large population and therefore larger economy. Nigeria will need to be around 4 to 5 times our current GDP to economically be at par with South Africa. Large economy is not equal to best economy/low poverty/low unemployment rate. While South Africa has fairly high unemployment rate, the overall economy is good enough to afford paying jobless people unemployment benefits to live on. |
Chai! Mr Samba found another man dancing samba with his wife in their matrimonial bed. Fear women. After dem go do innocent face and cry crocodile tears. I hope they had no kids. Otherwise kids uncertain of their paternity now also to face a life of struggle with an adulterous mother. Women and money are always the death of men. RIP dude. |
Well Na tradition. |
