And of course according to Buhari Abacha never stole a dime. Zombies have no shame at all. In another 10 to 20 years, they will use one SW academic to publish a "scientific paper" about how Abacha only saved money abroad for Nigeria. That people erroneously labelled the monies as loot. Somebody from the acclaimed educated and sophisticated zone will surely do Northern bidding one day. It might seem far-fetched now but just wait. They are already claiming Abiola never took money from ITT. It will take only one bold populist Northern ruler/president to declare Abacha a hero and SW will follow suite. El-Rufai can do it to garner favour from the large Kano State electorate should he ever make it to the presidency. Rewriting history is something we are very good at. |
SW people and their personality cult mentality. Oyegun played his role the way he saw fit, to consider all views, not just take instructions from Tinubu. For people with principles, who do not subscribe to talking from both sides of mouth or betray up and down, playing your role for only year as you deem fit is better than being a stooge for ten years. |
jaxxy:Well Beyonce was already successful before marrying Jay-Z. Moreover marrying a billionaire music executive as a singer is the right and smart move. Women typically marry up if given a chance. You cannot compare an older generation oil block businesswoman to women of her children's generation regarding Alakija. Very different. Even Joke Silva with traditional values including marital contentment instead of desire for ostentatious materialism cannot be compared with modern ones. Joke Solva rather contributes to development of their industry by training young artists in a drama school than flaunting material wealth on social media. |
At this rate it will be difficult for female celebs to stay married. Husbands are just obstacle to their runs business. |
It shows that asking Oyegu to go was a desperate act by some people who think they own the party. They will be shocked to find that Oshiomhole is far more manipulative than Oyegun who tried to be more even handed. They should be careful what they wish for. |
We 9ja are very good at rewriting history. Will a lawyer's documents on his client include ones proving his guilt? Very funny people. You cannot be cosy with most of 9ja's elites over decades and friends with coup plotters and be clean. Not possible. He won the election though, they should have let him rule. Period. |
GistFullGround:If they trace her with CCTV now and sanction her, she will start claiming racism. Speed kills. Speed limits are imposed for a reason. You cannot be exporting lawlessness to countries where people know what they are doing. |
good. |
tunjiajayi:Same quality that makes him incapable of reconciliation, dialogue or get true loyalty from those closest to him. Even from military underlings that by default are easier to manage due to military hierarchy. Brigadier J N. Dongoyaro's coup speech of 1985 still rings in my ear like yesterday. |
Nothing dey. Just stupidity licking blood. Awon vampire wannabe. ![]() |
rentAcock:Do not just compare, understand countries first. Iceland broke away from Denmark in 1944. But still very much linked culturally and otherwise to Denmark. Iceland has been competing with European nations in football since and getting better yearly. They also built indoor pitches to enable sports during the very harsh long winter months. Our problem in Africa is to believe history is not relevant. Hence we keep repeating past mistakes. History enables you to know how succeeding nations planned for success, the failures they had along the way and how the fixed them. I remember just 20 to 30 years ago, other European nations used to go collect three points from Iceland, Andorra, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, etc Do not be surprised if in 10 years, Luxembourg or Andorra is the new football rave. As a kid going to see Enugu Rangers v Bendel Insurance, Kano Pillars v NNB, Abiola Babes v Shooting Stars, Mighty Jets v BCC Lions or such top billing on Saturdays was like going to watch Liverpool v Chelsea or Man U v Man City today in UK. We supported local clubs and the local league got better. We did not build on that. Most good football countries have strong local leagues. Great players are plucked directly by European top clubs from River Plate, Boca Junior, Gremio, Cruzeiro, Fulminense, Colo Colo and other South American leagues club sides. You cannot be supporting Barca, Man U, Chelsea,Real Madrid, Liverpool, Arsenal, Bayern Munich, PSG and then be surprised that the national sides their players represent do well. Europeans plan, Africans expect instant success. Life doesn't work that way. |
The man did not die. Op can lie pass Liar Mo. |
rentAcock:When did most Africans start going to World Cup? You cannot compare countries going since 1930s to ones who began in 1994 or 2002. Countries like Croatia & Serbia have been going under Yugoslavia for many decades already. It takes time. Simple. |
That governor of Oyo State just created problems among Oyo State traditional council and Ibadan royal institution any how. Politicians have no business meddling with traditional stuff. Just like Obas should avoid politics. Ordinarily, an Oba like Olubadan needs no explanation as to why he bans egungun going anywhere. A monarch can seek or take advice, but it is not a democracy with a parliament. He considers tradition, certain situations and maybe even divination to make decisions. Maybe I do not understand how monarchy works in South West. |
adisabarber:Under 9ja system, ex-VPs are among those entitled to medical care abroad. So Buhari govt just provided the funds as mandated by law for Ekwueme to secure his visa. Diplomatic passport holders need a visa. Only some countries exempt such passports from visa for short stays. But it depends on bilateral agreement. Currently hardly any Western country would exempt 9ja diplomatic passports from the usual stringent visa requirements. Too many 9ja diplomatic passports are in circulation anyway. Some ex officials never return theirs as at when due, unless cancelled. Highly connected can retain theirs long after leaving office. Anything goes in 9ja. |
Colourich:The same submissive man will be lambasted by his woman as "weak" when things go wrong. Why not just say a man you can control? Some women need a dog/poodle, not a hubby. |

Is Airbus based in Toulouse (France) using Rolls Royce engine now Russian Technology? |
Acjohn:Which Republic? If you mean Saudi Arabia, it is KINGDOM of SAUDI ARABIA (KSA). |
rentAcock:We need to participate to learn the ropes on the world stage. It takes time. Countries like Holland, Belgium, Sweden, Greece, Russia, Poland, Portugal and many others have never won World cup. France, England & Spain have won only once. As defending champions both France and Spain could not make it out of group stages. Yet several of these countries have even hosted the world cup. At times Some African countries do reasonably OK. The goal is to continue building. It will take time. |
This vendor you're looking at might have kids who are all graduates. it does not mean the man is very poor. His idea of wealth might be different. Before you know it Dele can push his kids into various positions. The type of kids who will later say 10 years from now "see how far I have come, my dad was a newspaper vendor". We remember how Olakunle Churchill claims his dad was a gardener to OBJ. They will not tell you how proximity to powerful people benefited them. |
beautyandbrains1:Where do you see all those cavemen you're talking about? Better move to a place with civilised people. Nothing special there: men wash, feed, dress, take kids to school, sing lullaby/read to kids at night and lots more. Far more dads look after their kids than people admit. People are planning family better now just to do that. If you open your legs for a brute who fathers kids all over the place with many women, you surely know what to expect. Which mature person (not necessary by age) who planned to have or happy to have a baby would not want to look after own kid if time/work permits? In a place like Lagos, a guy leaving home at 5 am and returning at 11 pm due to distance to work/traffic jam might not have the time. |
Lol. Nor be only Beersheba, na spirit of "Ogogorosheba". ![]() |
Kikikiki! ![]() Learner. Some university fresher students have a far higher body count. The thing nor get "fvck-o-meter" na, so why she dey tell us? |
Nickymezor:Just imagine if they had dark skin like Lupita Nyong'o, would you still gush over their beauty? |
Redoil:You dey mind the guy? If the coup had failed, Buhari would have been shot like a common criminal that he is as a treasonous coup plotter. All democracies began imperfectly. And gradually corrected with time. Even in America in 2001, there were allegations of election fraud in Florida where Bush's brother was governor. The Supreme court was needed to settle things. Political corruption is still not unusual in USA, with a sitting governor (Rod Blagojevich of Illinois) impeached and sent to jail just years back. Of the last 7 governors of the State of Illinois (home to Obama, Oprah Winfrey, etc) 4 have been jailed. Most of them for fraud or corruption. After like 200 years of US democracy o. Politics of 1979-1983 was far better and less corrupt than from 1999 till now. I guess Saarki was not born yet then. He only heard stories from fellow Zombies. Economic hardship began during Buhari's time. Mass sackings, cancelling of visionary projects like Lagos metro, etc. IBB's failed attempt to rectify it led to SAP. |
A very violent society. The "poor" can be brutalised by anybody. The rich even if it is billionaire kidnapper if not caught yet is worshipped. Sad. |
Ugosample:Very true. Even Kate Henshaw was running her mouth when she was with that Nuttal guy. How much better oyinbo men are. Until the Nuttal guy began seriously straffing their PA. ![]() Even a 9ja demon won't do worse. ![]() But it is even common for women to compare men of different tribes. They feel the need to justify why they married a guy from another tribe or race. Most relatives who married men from other tribes have seen pepper. Often they hide their suffering because they ran their mouth leading up to marriage. They have tolerated things they would not have meekly tolerated if married within own tribe. Once you chose a man or women to marry, do so because you feel he/she is the one you love. No justification or badmouthing others is needed. |
Thank God it is not all "Nielsenical" cases. There's hope. Cute kiddies. |
clevvermind:That is for casual "gamblers". Addicted ones take high risk hoping to recoup all previously lost money in one go. |
anyaski4real:Alumnus (single male) Alumni (plural male): though also used for mixed students in plural form. Alumna (single female) Alumnae (plural female) Basic Latin is very useful in understanding many words in languages, law, medicine and virtually everything. |

Time. Time is the only healer. Burning her pictures or whatever does not help. Running away from it does not. Yes it will hurt. Badly even. One cannot rationalize it or see the positive side of it. You can only do that much later. Best is to face it. You loved her. Maybe even saw a future with her. It is like grieving. It is a loss after all. Talk to someone. Do not try to be a strong guy. Let it out. Cry if you have to. But she's gone now. She will live her life. With someone else. You have to live yours too. With someone else in due course. Such is life. More important is the lessons you have learnt from it. You will be a better man for it. |
