If OBJ had any integrity, he should have known that whatever rot he complained about in PDP was mostly orchestrated by him in his 8 years as president under PDP platform. He railroad everyone in PDP and didn't allow proper internal democracy. We all remember how he dealt with Okadigbo, Ghali Na'bba, Audu Ogbe, etc. If you could lead a party for so long and could not put structures in place to strengthen and sanitise it, only to tear his PDP membership card, it shows his failure, hypocritical, manipulative & cry baby nature. Ready to throw the baby out with the bathwater if he's not in full control of things. |
kaycito:Is polygamy against Nigerian law? He just needs to marry her, not play away. Remove sentiments. Consider the culture. Hardly any part of Nigerian law allows polyandry or bringing another man's child from outside. Any woman who does not like our culture can migrate to Saudi Arabia, Afghanistan, Somalia, Canada or NZ. Wherever she refers the culture to her own native culture. After all all those countries we like to use compare ours are following their own culture that took centuries to millennia to evolve. FYI: both my gran dad & dad were/monogamous as a choice. Before you claim I am holding brief for polygamy. Just saying our cultural reality, not imposing my narrow views on others. |
Cutehector:The only thing that infuriates most ladies here is the guy sharing it. Not the fact that a married woman ignored her vows. We know lots of married women do it, so they see it as no surprise. Many are doing same. Those who do it can identify with the cheating lady, even empathise with her. They even bring babies fathered from outside for the hubbies at home. DNA tests are revealing the big mess. Sure the guy is very immature without moral qualms but it is the lady who broke her marital vows. |
Chai, see Lai Mohammed method. Sack 5 million from all sectors and employ like 1.5 million. They will then use propaganda to inflate that 1.5 million to 5.5 million jobs created. ![]() |
OP, see ehn, not all women are meant to marry. No matter how pretty, educated or nice. Your lady does not know what being a partner in progress means. Let her get a hospital job and rise through the ranks. She will realise the value of 5m. Invest that money wisely in something else because you will need it badly. You are on your own financially if you marry her. If I was in your position, unless she has other AMAZING qualities, I'd seriously consider things carefully if she's the right woman for marriage. Dating is different from marriage. You got an idea of what to expect. If peradventure she's forced by circumstances to contribute to family upkeep, her respect for you will diminish. Because she never envisaged to. This is even more so if you do a job like banking that can be unpredictable in terms of job security. |

Very correct. But much of it is done to show off. Status symbol and sheer consumerism. Most return to Nigeria not knowing much about the countries they visited. Only what they see on the surface. How they came to have such a good economy, beautiful streets, their history or how they see themselves. A visit to a major museum in any country tells you far more than all the beautiful streets you see. |
obowunmi:Lol. He like some others forgot that a SSner can only ever get to Aso Rock by accident. That no matter how handsome, erudite, brainy and visionary you're as a Niger Deltan, the power dynamics of Nigeria will not allow you in. Instead of them to see GEJ's term as a rare opportunity and support, encourage, advice and criticize constructively, people like Duke let envy get the better of them. He thought he somehow deserved that position than GEJ, maybe even entitled to it based on his hype as governor & Tinapa. He also forgot that he & Odili were deliberately sidelined by OBJ when picking VP for Yar'Adua. Both were considered way too ambitious. His early posters again show the excessive ambition that doesn't sit well with power brokers of Nigeria. Common sense should tell any reasonable person if 9ja is at all serious that an Igbo person should replace Buhari. We cannot claim One Nigeria and keep sidelining them. |
maasoap:I do not want to go into sentimental argument. But just to correct the medical opinion you included. Appendix is not useless. It is a store for good gut bacteria. In the past and in many third world countries still, diarrhoeal illnesses are still common including dysentery. Such illnesses flush out good gut bacteria. After the illness, good bacteria repopulate the gut from the appendix. Good gut bacteria are very important part of the immune system. We now know gut bacteria play many important roles in the body, including preventing obesity. Decades ago doctors thought that Thymus gland had no function and "useless like appendix". I listened attentively when an eminent surgeon (prof) recounted how in the 1950s they (as young Oxbridge surgeons back then) jokingly discussed how anyone who finds out the function of thymus gland would win the Nobel Prize for medicine. Years later people did and got the Nobel Prize for medicine! Niels J. Kerne got Nobel Prize for it in 1984 and sharing it with Koehler & Milstein for immune system research. Thymus gland trains and develops T-lymphocytes, crucial immune system cells. The immune system by puberty has developed and thymus gland shrivels to mere fatty tissue. Now even more important with HIV effect on T-cells. CD4+ T-cell count now important in HIV/AIDS management. Babies born without a thymus gland (as in DiGiorge Syndrome) didn't usually live up to 3 years! Thymus gland transplant now seen as a great way to manage it. |
Now I see that it's people's primitive minds despite churches everywhere that they call everything about Edo "witchcraft". Most people still secretly patronise babalawos, alfas, marabouts, ezemuo, dibia, etc. No wonder we're getting nowhere. |
remi1444:Hmmmm.....They will attack you seriously o. Some people think they have monopoly over wisdom, education, sophistication and common sense. So no matter how much truth you tell them, they will dismiss you as uneducated. That is their dilemma. They hate the truth unless it massages their ego. |
vertueptime:Wow! You can do better. Mogaji is not your average inexperienced or poorly educated Nairalander. He certainly doesn't comment frivolously. Please show some respect to those who know better and you can learn from. |
Maybe time for James to contemplate retirement? |
GEJ is still giving these people nightmare 3 years after leaving power. ![]() They never expected a SS person to be president. Funny thing is humans can pass laws and scheme but nature has a way of playing a fast one on everybody. ![]() |
Kikikikiki! ![]() Same OBJ who supported Buhari's election. Bubu was OBJ's boy in the army, in Military Govt and others for many years. He witnessed Bubu's govt too. So is he just knowing the type of person Buhari is? ![]() |

No real details about your investment. 9ja realtors need to know that attracting potential investors with initial information is key. In life you hardly get a second chance to make a good first impression. |
DeWorlex45:Actually only surgeons routinely perform surgery. In organised and developed societies only a relatively small number of clinicians are surgeons. Only in a place like Nigeria will almost everybody with MBBS be seen as a surgeon. No wonder that complications from surgery resulting from poor expertise especially in private hospitals (not including due to poor resources/facilities) is higher in 9ja than say UK or Germany. The BS in MBBS is just part of basic medical education, not a proof as a surgeon. In UK a qualified surgeon loses the title "Doctor" and becomes just "Mr, Miss, Mrs" etc. Unless he/she is made a professor, a dame, a knight, a Lord or such later in their career. In UK a doctor addressed in the hospital officially as "Mr, Miss, Mrs, etc is 99% likely to be a surgeon. It has a historical reason: early surgeons were not medically trained. They were barbers whose job was mostly to amputate limbs, so they were not allowed to use the "Dr" title. By the time surgery became a proper clinical profession, Mr as title for surgeons had stuck. And remains so till today. Therefore you rather inadvertently & ignorantly confirmed what the native doctor said without knowing it. Just like true surgeons, money ritual native doctors are few among native doctors. That clinical scenes in films almost always involve surgeons/theatre does not mean all doctors are surgeons. Far from it. Most native doctors cater for people's everyday worries: job, illness, marital issues, infertility, perceived misfortune/spiritual attack, fear, protection, etc. Money ritual & killing relatives for land/money in Nollywood by Chiwetalu Agu is rather rare in real life. ![]() |
omoelerin1:Well people see what they want to see. If just for the sake of locating one university in his village why build 13 others? Why not just one each for every other Goe-political zone? The true picture is this: to ensure that every state previously without a fed university gets one. And he clearly stated so then. He had eyes on that legacy then already. When he built Otuoke fed uni I was initially against the location. But considering that the cane used to cane GEJ today is that he did nothing for even his village, I now see that it was an inspired thing to do. Because 9ja thrives on nepotism and bigotry. |
Geofavor:Dude, this American university is in Yola. The one Atiku built for himself when he was the sitting VP of Nigeria and OBJ built his own Bells University at the same time. Jonathan built 14 Fed universities BUT none for himself. Yet they said he was clueless & corrupt. |
safarigirl: My dear, no two Poohsies are ever the same o. A woman might not see the difference but a real G certainly does. ![]() Joke aside, all these leakages are mostly not intentional. A jealous real life gf might see it and decide to leak it. Or even a phone technician. If people must send such pics, it's imperative that the guy immediately deletes them. But we're talking of humans here: always fond of souvenirs for some reason. |
babasolution:God bless you. People are so ignorant. In my place people suspected or caught trying to use spiritual powers to cause evil were seriously rebuked, exiled or fined and be used to swear ancestral/land deity, akin to "alale". Babalawos and such priests were essentially learned traditional practitioners who primarily helped to solve people's problems: ill health, misfortune, infertility, self & family protection against evil, etc. Nollywood gave people the impression that every stepmother or uncle is killing everyone out of envy or to claim land. Patience Ozokwor, Chiwetalu Agu & Kanayo O. Kanayo typical characters are what people now think African traditional worship is all about. |
Blazing99:This is Nigeria Everybody's a cr...... Complete the song. Even ATM na dagbo dagbo thing. ![]() |
irepnaija4eva:OK. When pagan Roman empire used modern military tech to destroy Jerusalem and destroy David's/Solomon's temple in 70AD, do you blame Judeo-Christian God for not stopping common pagan. When Muslim Moors overran Iberia and took much of France and Ottoman Turks took Constantinople from Christians turning it into Istanbul, do you ask about Christian God? When Napoleon conquered Egypt did you ask where Muslims' God was? Did that stop people trooping to Synagogues, churches and mosques till today? If you want excuses to rubbish African heritage, demonstrate inferiority complex and self-loathing, just do so clearly without citing a silly example. After all those events mentioned above happened well before 1897. If at all you know any history that is. |
OK get back to me when she's wearing flysuit. |
Hoodwinking of SW in full gear. Very politically savvy these Northerners I must admit. An Abo.ki with a small radio selling chewing stick or lafinda has more political acumen than a Southerner with PhD in political science. A WAEC-less Buhari is showing OBJ, GEJ, Tinubu and others how it's done. Years from now Zombies will count this meaningless ego massage gesture as one of Bubu's great achievements. ![]() |
Chai! See finishing. ![]() Abaribe should pray that no serious armed robbery or kidnapping happens in the East until Buhari returns to Daura next May. If it does, they will use the transmitter to try to implicate him. |
khiaa:Chai! See as you take am personal. ![]() Detroit was just mentioned as a "poster child" example. I meant it doesn't always work for everyone. Good to hear that you're very comfortable. So are many silent NLers here by the way. Congrats still. |
seunmsg:Anyone said something wrong about honouring Abiola? In any case Abiola has already been honoured and honoured daily in the hearts of those who fought with and for him from across the world. But what was Buhari's reaction to June 12 as at then? Or over incarceration of Abiola and killing of activists back then? Nothing in defence of democracy. In fact he served under Abacha as PTDF chair. Still insisting Abacha was not corrupt despite billions of recovered loot. It only reeks of dishonesty, opportunism and attempt to hoodwink true democrats and SW people. People just need to be aware. Because there is no atom of democratic bone in Buhari. |
EweduAfonja:Abeg sweetheart, no risk the juicy left bum o. Please leave it intact. Because he might just find himself where Oyenusi, Anini and others are yonder. Don't be surprised if it is the part with the most balling, swag, plenty of igbo to smoke, gin, beer, lots of easy virtue ladies and more. ![]() |
