Are people living in the estate already? What land titles has the estate? And what proposed charges for landlords on the estate are currently known? Thanks. |
tripplephi:Real Estate is usually cool. The main issue is of course fake land documents and dispute. If only knows a lawyer who knows the real estate market of an area very well, then he can do a thorough and reliable job. |
Vicvalentine:Sure others illnesses do kill. Although you meant to be cheeky but useful. In epidemiology you look at something called excess deaths. That is go back and check from 10 to 15 years ago until now. How many die yearly, in different age groups on average during various periods of the yellow. Naturally during cold/winter months, more elderly people die. Partly due to winter flu virus. Consistently each year. You now take the average over 10 to 15 years. January to June for example from 2010 or 2005 to 2020. See how many more deaths were recorded over the average for that period compared to January to June 2020. That has been done and the increase is astronomical. And those excess deaths mostly tested positive for Covid-19. So they probably would not have died in much more numbers had they not caught Covid-19. In addition disruption of health care further increased deaths in those not diagnosed with Corona, Researchers ask all the questions you can possibly ask as they study and publish results. |
Investnow2017:I already mentioned why partly. Blacks in those countries (USA, UK, etc) on the average are older than average blacks in Sub-Saharan Africa. For example, a common drug (I won't mention the drug because some using it might stop out of fear) used to treat high blood pressure increases the receptors (docking points) that covid-19 virus uses to get into the cells in the body. More older people have high BP. I can say far few people under age 40 take medication for high BP than those over 60. That is JUST one example. Also look at exposure. If more Nigerians could travel about visa free like UK, USA, France, Italian & Spanish citizens, a lot more cases would have been imported and much earlier from China, Europe, America, etc. And spread more in the population. The more people who are exposed, the more likely are young people more susceptible (due to other illnesses, depressed immunity, genetics,), etc. Until people are exposed, you never know who's in practice vulnerable individually. But data clearly shows older and already ill people are in more danger. |
Nice. Tradition all the way. |
Na wa o. See the calibre of people we have as law makers. |
Stableme:Hmmmm. |
madridguy:Oh boy that one get me gan gan ![]() Chai! That Maga pocket don suffer. From his tone of command "start coming" he must be fairly loaded. As long as DNA test proves your kids are yours, just leave the rest. ![]() |
Echvfhb:Social deprivation, inequalities, poverty, and those things you mentioned lead to what? All largely lead to poorer health than the more privileged people. In effect a poor black person in America who has a chronological age of 40 might have a biological age of 60. When you measure his health indicators. Even after adjusting for genetic susceptibility due to ethnic reasons, age still plays a big role. You cannot honestly claim that a poor black American of 70 years does not have more susceptibility to severe Covid-19 disease than a 35 years old family member of his who lives same living standard. |
Vicvalentine:Really? Tell me about it. Let me tell you something. The reason Covid-19 has not killed too many people in Africa is because Africa has a very young population. Because life expectancy is already low at about 52 years. It has recently been shown that most infected in Nigeria are from 31-40 years old. If Nigeria had life expectancy of say from 74 in men and from 82 in women like many Western countries, deaths would have been high too. As people get older, on the average, they accumulate co-morbidity (several illnesses) including high blood pressure/cardiovascular diseases, diabetes, lung/airway disease and so on. These we now know increase risk of severe Covid-19 illness and death. I am not writing here as a novice. |
Whiteangel1234:Dem carry fine Rivers lady marry her fiam! She come shoot fine babies for dem, dem collect them. Now benefit come, she nor be their person again. Na wa o. And they will tell you they are the most accommodating people in the world. I have said that aside Lagos that our people across the Niger call "no man's land" most other SW places are not nearly as open. Even more disappointing that some Ondo people are doing this. It's normally the most liberal place alongside Ogun outside Lagos in SW. |
Now, it's getting really serious. But Delta, how come? |
To do what job exactly? |
mamaafrik:The silent killer as it is called. There should be an emergency declared on HBP and diabetes. |
SaintLucia:Not new. Arumah Otteh of SEC exposed NASS as asking for bribe back then. It has become accepted. At this rate in 100 years Nigeria still won't get anywhere. |
Well, we already knew it came from Muslim people. Hausa Fulani still deal with the SW with their original meaning at the back of their mind. |
doggedfighter:In homicide, the proper thing to do is complete autopsy. It's a legal matter. To establish how and when victim did. At times even where they died. If they died a year ago and the accused was in prison then, he couldn't have done it for example. Maybe he exhumed it from from somewhere and put in the rank. He can only be punished for desecrating a corpse. Sounds farfetched but it happens. Different weird behaviors and deviance out there. It's about tying all the loose ends in legal process. |
ENGINEERG:My brother mortuaries are overflowing. Many are dying at home or on the way to hospital (only rushed when almost dead) and they are filling up mortuaries. Because many want Covid-19 lockdown to be over so they can give a "befitting" burial. Most were not given a befitting life o. Many rather rely on pastor's prayer and anointing oil or water than seek medical help. Some just do not have the money to get proper treatment. The lower classes often live and die in ignoring while poking fun at the upper classes that are by far more enlightened, exposed and look after themselves far better. Not all wealthier people have made money at the expense of the poor. It's in Nigeria the same poor Nigerians aid, abet and praise politicians to loot. |
davidnazee:Sorry I wrote that post in a hurry. Good that you got my point despite the many errors in it. |
A bus has spent 6 months with you already. Yet no price tag despite people asking since. Attitude is a big issue with most Nigerians. Customer is king has no meaning to most. |
Who takes that guy on social media spewing nonsense serious. It is normal for the Benin Traditional Council to dissociate from information falsely put out there claimed to be supported by the Palace. It's no apology. It's asking the online goon to retract the post or video and apologise to all those he has offended. |
LordIsaac:OBJ said even Jesus will struggle to change Nigeria. Jesus you will remember, wonderful as he was, could not change Israel. We can say anything we like about OBJ. But only few know and understand Nigeria like OBJ. Each of those law makers would probably have asked for 100 slots each. That is how Nigerians role. Fantastically corrupt. |
gregyboy:It's all a plot. Igbo are aiming for "purity" and Yoruba aiming for imperialism. Igbo purity story fits into excision from Nigeria while Yoruba imperialism will make the the soul voice of the South. Since Igbo can be conveniently excluded, playing on Northern fear that Igbo want to break up Nigeria. They all know what they are doing. But it's penny wise, pound foolish at the end. |
Sofistcatdmoron:Edo is 4th largest ethnic group. Edoid people include Urhobo, Isoko, Okpe, Degema, Epie-Atissa, Ekpeye, much of Ikwerre (with some Igbo mixed into it) and many more, 22 distinct groups make up Edo. More are identifying themselves in Niger & Benue states. Your ignorance leads you to call Edo minority. Edo are larger than Ijaw, Tiv and Efik/Ibibio. On BBC last night (29th of June, 2020, in the news, they announced that museums will soon re-open. Benin arts section was what the news showed to signify museum. If you doubt it, watch it on BBC iplayer. That is Edo that you said nobody sabi. While tribalism is blinding many Nigerians, those who have eyes are seeing clearly. Davidnazee gregyboy |
davidnazee:Davidnaze, gregyboy These people say things that confirmed Olaudah's Igboness are correct, but when it comes to those that show Benin sovereignty over Igbo land, they say he was too young to know correctly. ![]() But something interesting came up I think at number 4. It shows what we have always said that just 200 years ago, a single Igbo identity didn't exist. Same in Yorubaland. Whereas by 1470s, Europeans were already writing about Benin Empire, its powerful king and his dominance over huge parts over that area of West Africa. People can try to hide the truth, but truth is like pregnancy, you cannot hide it forever. They Yorubas claim that a Benin man told Europeans that there was one powerful "Organe" inland. They believe that story, but not others written by Europeans. So why did the European not go to seek out the so called more powerful "Organe"? ![]() Organe, if such even existed, may well have been a shrine or priest somewhere inside Benin Empire, who knows? Fact is in what is now Southern Nigeria, there were only small tribal chiefdoms. Both in Igbo & Yorubaland. Only Oyo later captured some other Yoruba chiefdoms. About 240 years after Benin grew as an empire in 1440 AD. |
Na wa o. Is this a coal mine or road? Haba! ![]() |
Flyingngel:Well we have always had credible people. Only a few bad eggs soil our name. |
The lady looks like she could be manipulative and arrogant. I cannot doubt her hiding the true state of her hubby's illness for political reasons. She appears far removed from reality of normal people and sickly entitled. You cannot pick unknown numbers because you married a politician. Wtf? Are you supposed to Bury covid victims in their homes? Are normal covid patients allowed to treat themselves in private hospitals? Why are politicians different? Land is the her problem. Using people in high positions to rubbish legal procedures. OBJ and Osinbajo, a professor of law are shameless trying to intervene in a matter aready in court. Dragged to court by Ajimobi even. |
He was good. RIP. |
ajebuter:There are very many wonderful books by great authors. The more widely you read, the more you discover. Obviously others like T. S. Elliott and James Hardly Chase are up there. Dickens perfectly captured the essence of Victorian age. His books and activism lead to social changes with respect to child labour and some other social issues of the time. I feel that books from non-English speaking world are not that appreciated by Nigerians. There is a wealth of literature from the Francophone, Iberian/Lusophone, Germanic, Slavic, Hellenic and Italian world. Both historical and contemporary. |
Gerrard59:Is there any study that shows that polygamy does not reduce infidelity? Read the specific case of poster. If the man had 2 or 3 wives, chances are that one of them will have a higher libido. The man in the post makes it clear that his playing away is because of his wife denying him sex. This is rather common. Sometimes even as a punishment. You can argue the many other potential disadvantages of polygamy and I'd understand. |
Ok We knew already. But they got the SW stuff wrong. |
