Nigerians won't listen to that. You help this one, that one will come .....all going in an unending circle!!
If you don't know how to act like Americans and say no with a stern face, you are in soup.
I really blame parents having many children!

You can't please everyone.
Family › Re: ''He Died Because He Wanted To Please Everybody'' Nigerian Man Mourns His Friend by armyofone(m): 11:36pm On Oct 07, 2019
When parents spend their lifetime born up and down, placing responsibilities of their "God give" children on another child, that's what you get. Orgasms is not stress relief! Nigerians please plan your family and use birth control! Don't make your child take care of your children!

dominique:
Nigerians no dey want hear "abroad based" for ears, they'll think you're rolling in millions and almost milk you dry with demands. If you like, kill yourself while trying to give into their demands, you go just die for nothing. This is why it is good to always take a stand and don't let anybody put unnecessary pressure on you to the point of sending you to your early grave

grin Alleluia grin grin grin
cococandy:
This one surprised me.I was just improvising but it turned out really good.

Blackened chicken breasts, caramelized onions and mushrooms, creamy Swiss and grated Parmesan. Crispy bacon and steamed broccoli.
I used almond milk instead of full cream milk and a little bit of half ‘n’ half.

I’ve been begging DH to make clam chowder for me because he does it superbly but he’s doing shakara grin , so I made this one to hold body until he makes the chowder.

He promised me he will do it tomorrow. let me eat this and wait for tomorrow.

Same here. I don’t care for chicken noodle that much. I just make my own version of hot noodle soup in a pho fashion but really spicy.

Soup is life and fall is here. Can you say alleluia grin

Exactly! Always lock your door. Never be too comfortable wherever you are. Whoever is coming to your house, let them call first or you won't open the door.
I wished he closed/locked his door - she wouldn't have been able to get inside.

Use sanitizers and wash your hands after handling - they don't look clean.
In this world we are in, all hands must be on deck! Nobody should be doing it alone - be it earning money or household chores etc its partnership.

Logobenz:
lol @ Otedola.
Look,I work TOO HARD to earn a living.I have not seen what my house looks like for close to a month so that I won't have to wail when I have to fulfill my manly duties.
So do you expect a man like me to share chores with any woman after all that stress?
Only a wicked and inconsiderate woman will ask me to do that with her after seeing all I go through.
That was last night in the most treacherous roads last night, close to midnight sef!

I think he is the one just trying hard for personal wealth. If only he'd stop thinking of building his wealth and focus on running the country.
No need trying to get frenzy about 2020 - he could easily win 2020 doing the right thing!

I know- my post still applies to wherever.

safarigirl:
No mention of Western countries at all. Diaspora and overseas could also mean Ghana, Ivory Coast, SA etc. Not every Diaspora is outside Africa.

The rule when policemen stop you and ask for ID is not ask question but just give them your identification. I pray we remember that all the time.

safarigirl:
I stated what he SOUNDS like "....he SOUNDS like a pained hater half the time......"

Have you heard the saying "How you say something is just as important as what you say?"

The OP could have couched his post without pourong vitriol on people. His line concerning the Yoruba man was our of line, what does he mean "I'm sure he must have been deported by now because such a person....." Doesn't that sound like a pained person?

His message was lost on the altar of pettiness. I did not ignore all he said, I only called out the pettiness in some of his words. i could barely read past the vitriol on the Yoruba man, yes, he sounds like a pained hater.

Citizens of countries like the USA, Canada, Australia and most Western countries Nigerians reside in, commend the people all the time, but one Emeka from Afikpo comes online and starts going on a rant off about people paying their taxes and contributing to economies abroad just because they have overbloated egos and know their rights. Nobody should be docile and subservient in any country they contribute to economically, except they are illegal immigrants.

The scenarios he posted sounded like someone who was barely in the know, but assumed how things are supposed to be.

Just a few months ago, Tayo Faniran, who has lived in SA for at least 10 years, was accosted by the SA police and assaulted simply for demanding why they wanted his ID. I am sure the OP in that scenario, would have said "He was making noise just because of ID"....but he won't know the underlying issues behind refusal to produce that ID. The example of the ID guy was wrong, because OP, who was a visitor, was in no position to know what that guy's previous experiences had been with authorities concerning it.
