Say no to borrowing children out.
Only married people should have sex.
Use condo.m if you don't have the intention of having kids

Seun: What are we planning to do about this problem?
Family › Re: My Baby by armyofone(m): 10:57pm On Nov 06, 2013
You are right ile Naija people ways of dealing with new born is way out of this world. Wait mama is feeding her yam porridge, nzu, kernel oil, palm oil and yam/cocoyam? shocked grin
The only food your 2days old baby should be eating is breas.tmilk.
I think I heard no water for the first 6-9months.
The violent take it by force at least mentally. You can't bath your baby? Oyinbos have made it easier on today's women. You don't need to lappy your new born to bath them like our parents and grandies did now.
There are baby bath tub in the market where you can seat your little one and wash her.

ileobatojo: Madam, your mother in law might be slowly killing your baby. Giving too much water is extremely dangerous to a baby because their kidneys are significantly immature and cannot deal with all the water. It will cause the salt in the body to be low which can lead to brain swelling, seizures, coma and death. A baby should be having mostly breastmilk or properly constituted formula not water or sugar water. Please wake up and save your baby before it is too late.
Family › Re: Why Is Divorce Not An Option For Most Nigerian Women? by armyofone(m): 6:34pm On Nov 06, 2013
It is only in Africa that men like that go unpunished.

Currently in the news is an American doctor who killed his very beautiful wife to marry Gypsy his mistress. Shortly after the wife died Gypsy was interviewed by the guy to become the children's nanny (so they can continue their rompy business).
The children are testifying now that their dad killed their mom.

I love American Justice.

imagine fa, even knowing she is 29 should be enough to respect her no matter what and let sister and mama deal with the situation.
29 years wey first pickin go don reach to marry sef for North.
that hand go soon reach her sister's.
The man na original woman/wife beater.

lorretta u: No mind am.
Na so the guy vex reach?
He can't tell his wife to warn the sister?
He can't complain to his MIL to caution her daugther? Na to slap am.commot belt to flog her. He's lucky I'm not the person. Some people and wickedness. Whatever the girl might have done. Even a real man can't do it in his own house how much more his in-laws' house.
I don't understand how someone can see reasons with him.
Music/Radio › Re: Let's Save Majek Fashek by armyofone(m): 6:13pm On Nov 05, 2013
Hey aboki, what's the name of the gwaya you used
grin
Mr Aboki: I have been smoking the Hemp for 13 years. In that 13 year period, I have graduated from a foreign University with a degree in Geological Engineering, Passed several accreditation courses, worked for 1 small construction company abroad, worked for one small company in Nigeria and I am currently one of the Lead Engineers on a project of a Major Oil and Gas company. I am currently doing my MSc in Oil & Gas Management online and I am also married (and would soon ba a father). I have a very solid income and I am nowhere near being a riff raff or a tout.

I drink alcohol (socially) and smoke the chronic almost everyday.

Now, take it from me when I tell you that hemp did not do that to Mr. Majek. Crack Cocaine and Meth are what does that to a person. Even Mushrooms would not do that to a person.

I am not saying you should smoke, I am just saying that someone who drinks Codine to get high and other chemically altered and manufactured drugs are the ones who suffer from such.

Hemp is now even being legalized in many countries including the U.S, Canada & Amsterdam.

Properties › Re: Uncle Sold My Dead Father's Land by armyofone(m): 5:59pm On Nov 05, 2013
Please OP, forget about it and forge on with your life. Face your work/school and be the best you can be. Making and building your own.
What goes around comes around.
Stories like yours are common. That's why I hope those living oversea focus on giving their kids the best education. I have heard of people who rent apartment in poor neighborhood, manage life to the T so that they can build a house/buy land etc in Nigeria.
They work hard here with graveyard shift and unending hours just to make more money to buy land and build home that someone will one day take over.
Imagine what it would have been like for you if your dad saved those money in your name here in the US.
Lesson for us all.
Odiegwu.

I think we should make it clear to each other before marriage that he/she will not eat for X days when there is argument. That way you know to cook for yourself. It saves on the food rejection/wastage/anger for not eating etc

deols: I am not married o. But my hot blood makes me feel like the man who rejects my food is telling me to stop cooking grin

so BB you watch Devious maid? grin wait you be Lady? shocked I don't believe you are guy anymore grin

I watch it too on Lifetime my fav channel. Such a nice show and my sunday evening is not complete without watching it. I'm waiting for the next season. I really like how those Latino maids do their thing, they teach you a lesson. But we can't compare Lifetime Devious Maids who are mostly adult to Nigerian baby maids.

pickabeau1: This story reminds me of Devious Maids, a sitcom based in Bev Hills

The maids are confidants, everything to their mistresses
Family › Re: Are You Sending Your Housemaids To School? by armyofone(m): 6:04pm On Nov 04, 2013
Ladies playing thick madam all over Nigeria shame on you if you use little children as house help and not sending them to school.
what is in the house that you and your husband can't do anyway?
Human are gifted with the ability to multi task. One mouth and two hands.
Send them to school or don't use them otherwise you are a very wicked person in disguise.
Romance › Re: My Girl Friend Of 3yrs Left Me Because Of #30000 by armyofone(m): 10:57pm On Nov 03, 2013
It is good you moved on. A woman who will ask a guy she is not married to more than he can afford is not worth it.
You brother's children need that money more than her so don't forget to give a little to them/remember them.

I don't understand all the overly dependent on boyfriends kia! kai!!
This recession and housing bubble reach Nigeria?
Family › Re: How Much Influence Should Your Child Have In Your Relationship? by armyofone(m): 5:51am On Nov 03, 2013
After carrying a baby for nine months, go through all the highs and lows, what do you expect? Romping with you all over so soon?
The baby needs her more than you do.... so guys stop whining.
The best you could do is ask her to go get some sleep and rest while you take over warming breas.t milk for your crying/colicky baby.
How can a man be jealous of the relationship his wife has with their baby? What are you missing that you haven't had before baby came along?
Jealous father may be part of Shaking baby syndrome. Hospitals make them take classes before heading home grin
Be patient because the best is what you want for your baby.

xynerise: This may sound a little bit weird but I think nowadays, the kids are having much attention. They seem to be in total control of relationships undecided.

A baby also can stir up surprising feelings of jealousy. The baby takes up so much of the mother's time. Sometimes, the man feels like a third party, he feels like he doesnt do much of the parenting.

The woman sometimes feels self-conscious and less attractive to her partner. Some find it difficult to reconcile the image of a mother with that of a sexu'al woman, so they may be less interested in intimacy.

How can we adjust the much attention during these first 7-8months? grin

No time is right. Don't give a guy power over you.
I wish Nigerian colleges are like the ones here. Students should be able to work while in school for their own needs/wants
Moving in with him is never an option. You will be playing wifey early.
Our parents should be playing the roles of provider now, eyaaah
I have been dating my boyfriend for 4months now and since men play the role of a provider when is the right time to ask him for rent money, or should i move in with him to save him the trouble?
Phder: 1. Don't call yourself what you're not. Don't give people back home the impression that you're rich by posting pictures of you standing in front of another person's car on Facebook.

2. Don't burn bridges, but you can block them pending the time; until you're stable.
NB: This might cause a long term fight/malice, but trust me once you throw a few thousands at them, they would forget that there was a time you refused to pick their calls.
3. Be sincere with your parents, if you're doing well, let them know, if you're not let them know.
4. Deactivate your Facebook account, use twitter (I am really serious about this)
Right!!
Thumb up!!

A friend and I was chatting with a course mate recently as we haven't seen him in a while and he was almost crying due to stress of the demand from home and school. 2 of his siblings are demanding money for college fees and his parents are also calling for money. He doesn't know what to do. I just listened and asked him to pray over the situation.
What I don't understand is if your parents can't afford to send you to school why are you doing jamb? Why not learn a trade?
I mean something small for yourself? Why do jamb only for you to start asking others for money? I don't know.

2Buff, nothing wrong using her money to buy boy toys now especially when little johnny can't stand up or you want her to continue to shuffer and shmilling for ever and ever?
building new house and buying boy toys are precious investments grin.

2buff: Crap like this only happens in all these "I work, my wife works, but I pay for everything" type marriages.
When you don't put your wife's money to good use, and if she is silly, she will find something dumb to spend it on.
This could range from building new houses without your knowledge, to boy toys.
