Mbaka was paid by the APC to divert the people’s mind away from a fixed judgement and political coup by using prophecy. Mbaka was used to first to make a proclamation of Uzodinma becoming the state Governor so that there wouldn’t be chaos when the Supreme Court announces the abracadabra Possibly. But why wasn't a fixed judgement made in Bayelsa state Guber? Was the President who 'supposedly' pulled this unable to do same in Bayelsa? |

Maybe. but the chances of you being involved in a ship mishap is very slim. It's literally newsworthy when mishaps like these happen due to the rarity. But of course choose your course. The fascinating point about this ordeal is how other nations came together to assist Indonesia in searching for this vessel. Any of these nations would have been a potential assault target of the same vessel in time of conflict. O humans! |

Good ? Sure if you're passionate about it go on.
BUT.
If you also want to make a good living, it's not a reputably lucrative profession.
IF having a decently lucrative job means a lot to you don't do it.
Check other lucrative roles for which you have passions too. Passion isn't tied to one thing alone. |

Stop putting him in a spot.
I don't think he rolls with the top world billionaires for them to trust him with their millions. We all know how precarious football biz is. You don't need to be a billionaire to roll with one. For e.g. Many people may think Daniel Levy is the 'Main man' @ Tottenham but that's only in executive decision making. A lesser known Joe Lewis is the Major investor, himself a bonafide billionaire. It could be a matter of trust. Once you're trusted, you could front for many of these guys who own the clubs. |

Time - Focus & drive seem to me as the most important factors for learning here. As well as having a nitche. Data Engineers, Advanced Data Analysts(AKA Data scientists), Cloud architects, DBAs & Information systems Architects are in demand these days in the enterprise space. Politics › Re: Nigerian Social Media Influencers Were Paid To Support Alez Saab by Asour: 3:08pm On Apr 09, 2021 |
thebosstrevor1: It is simple.
Every social cause promoted on social media is paid for. No protest or social media campaign is organic, as long as you have money to pay influencers, you can personally destroy or support a target.
This leds me to the #endsar campaign, all the influencers were paid to destroy Nigeria by some ngos and foreigners, these same influencers were happy destroying the country they live in.
Nigerians can sell their soul for little cash. You would not be able to Know would you. Obviously this cause has fishy written all over it as there is no direct relationship between Venezuela & Nigeria. However, that's not to say ALL social causes are paid not organic. That counterfeit currencies exist suggests that there is indeed a genuine currency. The same applies to causes. 000s of causes are created daily — many non political. |

Aconomist: It is a oligopoly (limited competition) not a monopoly. But Oligopoly is just as bad as monopoly because the few producers can coordinate with each other to keep prices high. Also note that Dangote's market share in the southern part of the country is pure monopoly. BUA Group sells mostly in the North and LaFarge only sells to civil engineering companies -- they don't usually do residential. Lafarge doesn't only sell to civil engineering companies. That is not true. Also Business is a hard adventure. Most 2 Major local producers started out as importers. He successfully moved to production. Others faltered. You may say they didn't, right? That Dangote used government support to eliminate them. The question would be : If he is ALL so powerful, how come he failed at Tiger spices, Noodles/Flour & Beverages(juices). Also how did BUA survive him? To remain in the industry? Business is hard. I wish it wasn't. Monopolist would always seek to dominate. Capitalism is ruthless. God help us. |
Business › Re: Dangote Is Selling Cement For 1,150 Naira In Zambia by Asour: 7:36pm On Apr 06, 2021 |
Aconomist: They have no incentive to do that. According to Rabiu, the problem in the industry is scarcity. They can't produce enough to meet demand. The only solution is to allow more companies to enter the industry and compete OR allow imports. Nigerians have to come up with self thought solutions to break this. Complaining would not help. Never did. Since it's not a monopoly (technically). Capitalism has little soul. Any advantage that can be used would be used in capitalism. If he can dominate more he probably will. |
Business › Re: Dangote Is Selling Cement For 1,150 Naira In Zambia by Asour: 7:30pm On Apr 06, 2021*. Modified: 12:50pm On Apr 07, 2021 |
Aconomist: When people ask me why I don't invest in Nigeria, remember this thread and responses like this. Nigerians are addicted to stagnation and justify their own demise -- only a fool would put his hard earned capital into a nation of monkeys like this.
Cement prices around the world range from $3 to $6 while Dangote is selling for the equivalent of $11 for a profit margin of 60% in Nigeria compared to an industry average profit margin of 5% to 12%. He is able to charge these high prices because of low competition -- he kicked out competitors by hoarding limestone resources and convincing the federal government to ban imports.
According to Rabiu of BUA Group, Nigeria's real cost of cement production is the lowest in the world. The high prices are because of price gouging and monopolistic behavior from Dangote. There are least 3/4 major cement producers in Nigeria. If Dangote's cost is exorbitant & BUA says Nigeria is the least cost producer of cement, Why doesn't BUA & Lafarge sell at half the price of Dangote's currently? |
