Alexissanchezz:Yes.Including yours. This is the surest way to show relationship with him. You can add the photocopy of the ID too, not a bad idea. |
ifydio:Congratulation..Good news indeed! One word for all TRV hopefuls, POSITIVISM! |
katyamizotta:I highlighted your above lines so you also see where you might have a big problem in your proposed study intention. Having graduated 15 years ago and without any indulging activity in civil engineering till now, the burden of conviencing a Visa officer about your intended program is almost non existent. It will speak for itself and It WONT fly! Your next possible chance will be a higher degree in finance(if your core job in the bank was finance related) considering your long standing activity in the industry. It will be assumed that it is where you have found a career and an endeavour to strive on, anything outside that will be questionable and may lead to rising doubts about your purpose of visit. Advance diploma should completely be out of your picks, You will be expected to be pursuing an MBA and not even a PGD because of your years of experience. So first make your study plans more objective, have projective intentions about your choice of propose study, It will say alot when a Vo picks up your application to review. It has to reflect perferment towards your present career and desirables in all sense of judgement. Things must be presented with a visa officer convictions in perspective and you use that stance point to put your application together They also look out for what you will be bringing to their country as well as your overal personality. So address this main issue and then you come back here for further assistance concerning other issues and i trust the great guyz here will always profer assistance to you. Best regards. |
Wale309:Absolutely no problem. Your application is still well within the stipulated processing time. When the need your medical examination, they will contact you. You only need to be hopefull it comes sooner than later. |
bravemykl:The things he can do is 1.Convience a visa officer that the intended program is right for him and will help him advance in his career/ academically. 2.Convience the Visa officer that he has sufficient funds to pay for tution for his program and living expenses for atleast the first year.(Tuition fees +10,000CAD).He will also show he will have funds to support himself during subsequent year(s) if program is more that a year. 3. Convience a visa officer that he will return home after his program in canada. 4. Convience the visa officer that he has strong home ties to propel such return back home. 5. Avoid mis-information on his application. 6. Read alot about the whole process here and ask questions when confused. 7. Put together an overal good and simple application. |
losas:If the land has been legally transferred to you, it definitely belongs to you.So YES, you can. Also, you family members in nigeria can be a good home ties when you include them in the family information form. |
Eraytee:The app was actually tight. Na joke i dey! Nothing beats a good application esp now wey dem no too busy with plenty app. Clear as e tight reach! |
Blackanada:Online application was introduced for convenience of applying anywhere and at anytime. Paper route on the other hand is through physical submission at an application center called VFS. Applicants biometrics are also taken here in any choice of application.(online/paper) Non is better, main difference is convenience. People choose paper route when they have lots of supporting document to add to their application and don't want the stress of merging plenty doc together as seen when applying online. Same processing time as stipulated by CIC applies for each route. |
deckonne:Congrats bro.. This Vo just see your father money shining at 500watts upandan in your application and want the something live in their economy this new year of our lord 2017! ..Hehe. |
bodmas3000:Very easy! Never have this mindset. Give them what the want and you'll get what you want. You are more of benefit to them than they are to you. But we must always present our case accordingly and depit our relevance to both their needs and our advantage in an application for their visas while leaving the rest. Always believe after putting a GOOD application that you will get your permit approved. It will rub off on your general esteem about everything that concerns you. |
michV:The VOs are apparently tired of the emerging trend and dem don issue warning! it is now clearly written in VFS office and i am like 'ok naw! See gobbe! |
feguson123:I assume you mean Post graduate diploma. Anywhere, aside just picking this course which MAY be in line with your degree and work experience, You will need to convince a Visa officer how your intended program is going to better your current situation career wise and academically. This is because with a substantial work experience in your educational field, a next course of progressive academic intent should be a master which will give you more competitive advantages in your career. Although not everybody may need a master degree to better their career advancement, a PGD usually favour applicants who just finished undergrad or with a lesser(1 -2 years) work experience as MOST Post graduate diplomas are tailored to meet work place demands. It will be assumed you are going for it to equip you for work experience. So if you have good work experience already, it's usually difficult to convience but not IMPOSSIBLE. So it will be pertinent for you to convience the VO what you intend to achieve with your PGD and how your academic plans have been strategized that this PGD will be more beneficial to you and you MUST indicate if you also intend to pursue a higher degree afterwards. This way the bigger picture is more paramount to you and the VO could see your reasons more delibrate than situational. A good written Statement of intent/purpose will help translate these to the VO. We have seen consistently here how a company sponsorship have been unsucessfull as most applicants opting for this kind of sponsorship have not been able to convince the VO why a company will expend huge financial resource to an employee for the duration of their study. This is understandably so because most company would sponsor a value added(to the company) short term trips than longer ones. If you can convience them, it could fly. (best way to convience a VO is for COY to pay your full tuition and transfer money to your student account for you) All the same, i'll advise you consider your intentions and asses your application and plans from a VO stance point. All the best to you. |
uvagho:Funny enough, CIC have issued a notification to these rising issues and it is now boldly written on visible placard in VFS offices to WARN applicants about declarations on their application and put them in-check before submitting. We hope this move will bring reduction to these acts. |
feguson123:1.You need to clarify if your intended program is advance diploma or Post graduate diploma. 2 & 3. Before you evaluate your income and that of your sponsor, you need to put into perspective and consideration your tuition and 10,000CAD required for your first year. However, officers will still evaluate your capacity or that of your sponsor to raise and pay subsequent year fees and upkeep if your program is more than a year. Therefore, you MUST either have the equivalent of your tuition and living expenses in convertible currency(naira inclusive) or show evidence of funds transfered to canada for these purposes before the issue of your/sponsor income begins to play out as it also will be considered. |
teddybear20:You can't start working untill you meet the conditions on your study permit which is to be enrolled and actively pursuing your studies(on full time basis). You will be violating the conditions of your study permit if your start working now. Wait till the start of your program in september. |
ivyelle:Your application is still within the processing time and sending them a mail isn't necessary yet. It's possible the respond to you before start of your program. Still exercise more patience and hopefully the get get back to you sooner that later. |
ajaokabir:Okay. You may also want to keep checking that the transcript has gotten to her school since it's the university policy to issue unconditional offer letter only when the conditions are met. The transcript order receipt and the correspondence mail from her school should suffice as evidence that a new admission letter cannot be issued to her and that her condition is being met. Now you've sent them a mail already to that regards, be hopefull about the outcome. I also applied with same conditional offer letter and i got my study permit approved. |
ajaokabir:The school is right and CIC knows about the processes to fulfill a condition on your offer letter that is why they ask that you show in your study permit application that you can meet the condition(s)if you apply with a conditional offer letter. If your wife didn't submit her UNOFFICIAL undegrad transcript during her visa application, she has to show CIC that she has or can meet the condition. Since transcript has been processed, attach the order reciept requesting the transcript to be sent to her school in canada as well as any email correspondence showing you are in the process of meeting the condition on your letter if the school won't give you unconditional letter. The study permit condition is a walk over. It's CIC call and not yours to worry over. |
Blackanada:Just as the name implies, you get your medicals done upfront in an approved hospital before you apply for your student visa and then you add the upfront medical confirmation sheet that will be given to you by the hospital to your visa application package before you submit it to CIC. They will use the details on the sheet to recieve and review your medical result. Check CIC site for the approved hospital and appropraite cost. |
DereI:You are correct that financial capabilities and hometies matters BUT for a visiting visa, travel history matter alot especially when applying to a world choicest destination. Your history of having travelled to other top countries and not overstayed a visa or commited a crime in those countries will add to a positive review of your application. This is also used in a student visa but not overly as in a visiting visa. It is not to say one doesn't stand a chance without one but having good travel history add more advantages to ANY visa application. |
kokorita:You may not get all the useful information you need here as student visas are widely discussed here. Here is also a link to the nairaland canada visiting/tourist visa thread, you may find it most appropraite for you and your husband as you read and ask questions there. https://www.nairaland.com/2103860/canada-visit-tourist-visa-discussion |
tsolution:Bros/sister, this ur qualifications no be hia oo...you are representing major sectors of the ECONOMY! Lol. I salute you! But kindly note that you must also consider your visa chances while you try to apply for admission. Anywhere, With this qualification, your propose and intended study should be in the area you've had lots of activity and years of experience in and i can see you have years of experience in the financial sector and you have attained a higher degree in this field too. However, If your most recent activities has been in the educational sector with SIGNIFICANT achievements, success and evidences that your intended program will further add to these achievements and make your career goals attainable, you may stand a good chance with your intended program(if you can secure admission) So, if the cummulative 4 years experience has been RECENT in the education field, a master of Education isn't a bad idea if you can get in. If otherwise, you will have to go higher in the financial sector. The idea is that there is a progression in your present endeavor because it will be assumed that it is where you have found passion recently to add value both to yourself and the society. In what ever decision you reach, let it be either in the financial sector or the education sector. Your undergraduate degree won't matter anymore, you don't have any major and recent activity in that since you long left school. |
Eraytee:Yes it is possible. Msc and pgd are at the same level of education of POST-Secondary but there are conditions to it. You MUST be enrolled at a designated learnin institution (DLI) and be actively pursuing your studies which means you have to enter canada and meet all the conditions on your study permit. Applying for a study permit with Msc and changing to PGD even before meeting the above conditions MAY be considered FALSE information. They expect that you meet the condition on your current study permit first before you transfer to another school. You can find this and more information here http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/study/study-changes.asp |
gkgraphics:Absolutely nothing to worry over. |
gkgraphics:Congrats again! I remember you shared your good news. If your new course is still in the same school and the same level, you don't have to notify CIC because there is no change in DLI. But if your new course is in another school and at the same level, you will have to notify CIC and transfer your DLI. CBSA officers will only be interested in your Institution (DLI) and level of study. These two must be same with what you applied for your study permit with. They won't ask for your undergrad degree nau to find out if it's inline with the new course in your offer letter at the POE. Only your offer letter will be requested. So just make sure your new program is in the same school and same level. |
o2:A good SOP will be dependent on alot of factors. So these factors must have pointers that the journey from your intended program to an MBA will best add to you academically and careerwise. So before you start writting a statement of purpose that will suggest you are going for this program as a route to an MBA, you must consider 1.your undergraduate degree 2.your achievements, projections and the limiting factors that your prospective program will close up on and how it wil give you advantage to securing an MBA. 3.your experience (can see it's good) in the finaancial sectors. 4.How you intend to use your skills and experiences to better your situation and the world by extension. Your SOP will make the difference in your chance to get your application approved. You will have alot of work to do in writting this. This is probably the only way to communicate your intentions to a VO conviencingly. Best regards. |
gbsunmonu:Yes medical is valid for a year. Since it isn't Up to 12 months yet,the previous examination is still valid. Apparently it wasn't an upfront medical in the earlier application, so all he needs to do is to take the new medical form from CIC to the hospital he did the previous medical and the hospital will resend the result to CIC using the details on the new medical doc the embassy sent. He won't undergo another examination. |
Abiodunne:Discus further possibilities with your school, show them the letter/email requesting a new start date, they may reconsider and issue a new letter at no additional cost. If they still insist you pay as though you are reapplying, do so. They are just after the app fees and not necessarily another review of your application. So reach your school first and in whatsover decision they insist, you proceed accordingly. Congratulation in advance. |
honeyscottage:No it won't. As long as you show evidence of the fees payment(reciepts),how you paid it won't matter. |
Newman1010:2weeks after he got his GCMS file. Also note, the money was transferred between his accounts and reflected his name in the transaction coupled with good 6months transaction history on the account. It wasn't an isolated current account.I guess that counted too. |
Eraytee:Well, while yours was transferred successfully through a savings account during the period you did it, the may have been a recent unsucessfull forex transactions recorded through a savings account or that most applicants submitting SOA showing tuition transfer used a CURRENT account as evidence to show fund was transfered. So it also could be the NAIRA savings and current account disparities and limitation plus the prevailing forex policies is well known to the embassy which could have made the VO reviewing that particular application raise such concerns. So using your own case may not sufficiently rule out any possibility to that and neither can my inference be completely true. My judgement was based on the GCMS file i read and the outcome when he ONLY changed funds from savings to current without doing anything else which is safe to ADVISE for a look out because that VO appeared too smart and a next reviewing VO could take a cue from him/her. The reason was clearly pointed out in his GCMS file. Another VO on the other hand may see it differently notwithstanding any limiting circumstance. Please, could you elaborated further @bold statement. It isn't quite clear. |
Just a piece of advise for guys previously refused for insufficient fund to paid tuition and support yourself. If you intend to pay your tuition(part or full), great idea. If you intend to transfer the cash (naira) into your account, endeavour to use a CURRENT account in your name. Saw a GCMS note sometime ago and the VO major concern was that huge funds were transfered to PA's SAVINGS account and he/he was worried PA cannot remove the money at once to pay for tuition because of the limit of transactions placed on NAIRA savings account. They obviously know all the banking regulations, be smart too. They know FORM A or any convertible currency transactions will be in a current account. Anywhere, his visa was approved today. What did he do differently? Transferred equivalent of his tuition + $CAD 10,000 to his current account ONLY! #If you really need to know the main reason for a visa refusal, get your GCMS file. It's an eye opener! |
