can someone please help me. I submitted my application on the 9th of November 2016 and I haven't received any medical call since then. I received a mail requesting for custodian form on the 21th of this month which i have submitted . can someone help me . I don't know when I'll receive my medical call not to talk of approval

You still have to be patient and hopefully they will get to you about further instructions. Timing for medical request varies and are randomly done after review of application following submission and this is really not dependent on when you submitted.Cic will always reach you and instruct you when they need you to undergo one. Nobody here can tell you when you will get the request. So keep being hopeful it come sooner and your application approval follows afterwards.

Once you are done with the questionaire/checklist section and proceed to your account profile and dashboard, You will see where to upload all necessary documents. Just follow their guidance and instructions. best regards.

What were your answer(s) to the question(s) above?
You can only be asked to provide a 'letter of curriculum' from your educational institution if you answered 'YES' to the question about work being an essential part of your studies.
They want to know and be guided on how to proceed and find out if you will need a work permit to enable you work possibly more than the 20hrs/week given to students. The letter from the school will explain the details further hence their request for it.
Your answers should be NO if you are not an exchange student and NO if work is not an essential part of your study.
If you haven't applied yet, you may wish to start the process over again.

All the accounts should be ok for your application as far as they can support all claims in your application. Make sure you prove the sources of inflow into those accounts with documents. You don't have to lump them togeda, you can use as many accounts you choose to use.Main thing is that they show a reliable and stable source of income in correlation with your financial capabilities and claims as closing balance alone isn't the only thing to look out for, your income must be sustainable throughout the duration of your program.

Bro, i was particularly looking out for your testimony till i saw this. Well, this will just be a stepping stone to greater things to come concerning your study in canada plans. Don't let this weigh u down too much and ponder over what went wrong or not, the news is devastating in itself already. I doubt you can really put thoughts together.
Pick up from where it stopped for now, get ur GCMS file, pay close attention to what they pointed out, try to see how u can do things differently without complicating your application further cos i know you are vast in ideas concerning the processes.When you are ready again to start,i'm sure alot of people will be willing to assist you as you've been really helpful here too.Trust me, when ur approval mail drops for the next application, you would have long forgotten it was the 3rd. In as much as people are sympatizing with u, consider getting to work on a better strategy as soon as u can, You will definitely win at the end!

Once it's ready, you will get a pick up mail/sms from VFS. Alternatively, Call or chat with a VFS personnel to get info on ur passport.Or better still, give them a week from your approval date for transmission from the embassy to VFS.

You are right.everybody is capitalizing on the forex scarcity. The aboki rates may soon enter the other market rates sef and not black again. I'll still try that option. Many thanks!

More like a Graduate Certificate. I asked an Admissions personnel what it's equivalent is and was told by the lady it is University masters' equivalent. That's what I was told. Plus all the abbreviations used here could take some getting used to. So whatever it is, it sha isn't an undergrad programme or diploma. Y'all kindly don't dwell on it. If there's a correction to be made, someone should make it and let's move forward remaining hopeful. Thanks.

Absolutely. we aren't dwelling on it. i'm sure myself and the rest that asked just want to be better informed as it concerns you directly and may guide others seeking to apply for same program too.The may have been a change to programs in your school which we are unaware of.
All the same, since you have applied for your study permit already, I can only wish the best for you and hopefully, things turns out well and in your favour.

Just make sure you fill all the info on the slip they gave you correctly. Cross check again when u input the details.One mistyped letter or alphabet in the tracking number or date of birth you typed may cause that. So carefully do it again.

Hello gurus in the house, please I need your help. I submitted my application on the 26th of October via paper route. Ever since then I never relieved mobile phone notification neither did I receive mail so I had to return to vfs Lagos to complain. I was then told there's no email on my application which I knew I filled. This means the embassy haven't been able to reach me all the while, I can't tell if I got booked for medicals already since I never received mails. Tho vfs promised to help fixing it but what if the system has demanded my medicals before now ? Please what do I do ?

Smh @VFS and they won't admit it's their error. This is just one of their many inadequacies. My dear, If you are sure you filled your form correctly with your email address too, be rest assured the embassy will contact you when they need your medical examination with the email address you filled.Just keep checking your email regularly and also your junk/spam mails. If a vital information like email or telephone number or evn contact info wasn't in your application form, it would have been returned to you by the embassy for you to make proper input because they can only stay intouch with you with the info you filled in your form. Apparently, Vfs just deducted money for sms and all but failed to live up to their responsibility of reaching you through that medium. They will never admit this. The embassy will most definitely reach you if they need anything from you. You have nothing to worry over.

Your wife can apply for the spousal open work permit which will be subject to your student status in canada. It still falls under the temporary resident visa but has advantages of an open work permit where she doesn't need to be offered a job when applying and can work anywhere she choose to. It also will last for the duration of your status as a student. so in a nutshell, She'll be given a spousal open work permit which is quite different from the temporary work permit or visitor visa.

Not just a HUGE account. A sustainable one with a reliable and good source of income. Account balance can mean nothin if the source of the HUGE fund is not stable and reliable. An account with a stable income and flow of millions and good thousands of cash over 6 months period can pass even with a closing balance of 100k.
The Onion is WHO your sponsor is and the relationship to you.

Ofcourse you can. It wont't have a negative effect on it. Anybody can decide to use a different sponsor for a good reason.But you need to show relationship to the sponsor either through family relationship, previous activity involving sponsor, previous financial support from sponsor. Ìf any does not exist, Commitment on sponsor's part either by a gud amount of tuition payment n transfer of funds to you can seem conviencing he will truly sponsor you as claim. Another thing is why he/she is sponsoring you. it could be as a way to pay back to your family for a previous support, A schorlarship for you from him to help your academic achievement, believe in your resolution to make a meaningful life out of your academic/career pursuit.
These can be communicated to the VO through a letter of sponsorship. Also, all your new information should be consistent with previous information as the have your records and will review them when you reapply.

Really sorry about your situation.
One of the best advise for you right now is for you to be calm, request for your GCMS file to know the reasons behind the refusal. Being the second time, rushing to reply without actually paying close attention to previous reason for the refusal maybe colossal and affect your general study permit application (s) profile with CIC.
Meticulously and carefully tackle the reasons the VO have pointed out..
Undergraduate study generally require a very sustainable, reliable and sufficient source of income as it incure a substantiable amount of funds to complete.
It could even be possible the refusal was as a result of lack of sufficient proof of relationship to sponsor or even lack of evidence to show why he wants to sponsor you.
So bro/sis, do not be in a hurry to reapply, i understand how it feels especially when you feel you can tackle the reason of the refusal. But trust me, reasons can be ridiculous and unbelievable. Try to get the GCMS note and strategise from it and be better prepared to reapply.If u need to pay and get a new offer, if you can please do. It will be for your greater good. All the best to you.

Now when I tracked my application on vfs site is says the application is being processed and I email them and they told me that the application is being processed at the visa office

Give it a week while you keep tracking it. When it is evetually ready for pick up, you will b notified by Vfs. If you are not notified, i advise you still call them after one week to get info about it.

If by additional information you mean update to your personal data/ bio or change to ur address, email address etc, you may want to use the WEB FORM to communicate that to CIC. But if it's additional doc, like Emma4eva mentioned, u will have to wait for the VO to request such doc or take no chance if you feel the doc has very useful information to support your application by send to the email address he mentioned or check the appropraite dashboard on your CIC account to attach it if your app status allows you since you are an online applicant.

Yes, you can sponsor yourself if you have sufficient funds to pay your tuition and support yourself atleast for one year.Also, You will have to show a reliable source of income to support yourself for subsequent year (s) if your program is more than a year.
Anybody can sponsor you but you should show and prove their relationship to you and why the want to support your studies financially.

Just like most people in your situation have been advised already, you'll have to still be more patient and wait for the final decision on your appliction from CIC as nobody here can tell you about your chances of getting the TRV.
Be positive about the outcome as you wait for them to revert back to you.
You should also reach your school and inform them about the situation and get advise concerning the fees payment and deadline. They should better guide or advise you on how to proceed.

Meanwhile, I'll like to use this opportunity to throw in a little advise as regards the SOP/LOE. Please, If you need to point anything out in your application or bring a VO's attention to a particular situation surrounding your application or even buttress on your intent to study in Canada, let's kindly do so without suggesting or giving a VO more to chew out of our application. I recently went through a SOP of someone and most of the content were more about the circumstances surrounding why he needed to travel to Canada to study rather than the benefits his study in Canada will add to him as an individual and the society at large and why his application should be approved.
We all know the situation of the country and i believe the VO is well informed too. Demeaning the country further in your SOP may raise concerns about your purpose of visit when there shouldn't be any in the first instance.

I mean, you are claiming you will leave Canada at the end of your stay and return home yet you have a negative impression and complains about same country you'll be returning to.It's logical to say you have used your own hands to say you WON'T, CAN'T AND NEVER return.

Patriotism is seen at different level in the western world and held with high esteem no matter how little. We must at least try to show this somehow in our application if we really need to talk about our country despite the worsening situation.
I feel SOP/LOE should only surround our application and nothing more. Leave unnecessary sentiments and issues out of it.

Each applicant is treated as a potential immigrant and possibly citizen. They also look out for the advantages of having you in their country. what values you will be bringing in and how relative they are to theirs. You must be patriotic even from the word GO!
Please guys, let's pay attention to every details of our application. If you feel you need a SOP, let it reflect the main purpose of the application.
Otherwise, just leave it out. It will do you more good than harm especially when your application is well packaged and convincing.

NO. Paying of fees only shows some level of commitment be it full fees or part. Sponsorhip claims must always be backed with convincing evidences and more so, a 3rd party with little or no relationship to you.
This burden is mostly on a 3rd party sponsorhip because of their relationship to you and genuineness to claims. This isn't necessarily the same with a family member like parent or siblings because the are often times reliable but some case or situation may prove
otherwise though.
Proving relationship with that person will also go with why the person will expend such amount of money for your study considering the relationship. Personally, i feel a good way to show commitment from a 3rd party is by paying fees and giving you access to funds either by transfering cash to you or having financial doc in your name. I want to believe the VO knows alot of applicant present sponsor for the sole aim of the TRV and not responsibilty to their studies. You have to prove them wrong with evidences.

There's difference between finance being a problem and proving you are capable financially being a problem. Since you are assured by your brothers that can sacrifice close to 7m per year to you, bros your problem is proving you are financially capable and not finance.

Check your network for people that has heavy account -close to 20m balance and 40m flow. Even though am from a humble background with no support, am 100% sure getting a third party genuine account isn't a problem, but paying fees and upkeep is the real one.

In conclusion, you don't have the problem you think you have!!!! Think and open your senses. By senses, I mean eyes to see people around you with such account, mouth to ask them, etc.

Bro, like MichV and Folaroyal have mentioned, The relationship between these courses isn't sufficiently convincing. A career or course change isn't really a bad thing but the big gun there will be WHY? questions will bother around:
1. Will this career path be of significant advancement to applicant's education and career?
2. Does applicant have sufficient work experience to warrant a career change since previous education isn't a direct academic relationship to intended or even closely related.
3. Many applicant't going for same program with direct correlation to previous education and work experience. what guarantees applicant will do well in the intended program since there are no previous activities(education/experience) in this path?

these are just few areas i probably think will raise a red flag with "Purpose of visit". It is not enough to write a fantastic SOP without evidences, These folks would have even seen and read write ups from English scholars with good command of the language but truth is, Your case, documents and circumstance should out weigh the SOP and present your application convincingly.. SOP should be the icing on your app and not using it explain most things. They are trained to get what the want already. Personally, i believe SOP should be more like presenting the real personality behind the fantastic application package in writing.

Notwithstanding, I trust you will make appropriate additions to you reapplications and nothing will stop your study permit approval.

In all though,Do all you need to do and still leave a space for God to do his! Cos sometime, even the best of applications don't scale through.

A gtb fixed deposit statement of 1.8 mill naira
Fidelity bank statement of 2mill (this was a lumpsum paid by my sponsor stating that he is giving me for tuition)
Sponsor statement of 500k..
Although all 2 accounts have poor inflow and outflow.
Submitted my present payslip and past payslip from previous companies
Present and past employment letters including confirmation letter
WAEC, BENG and Transcript
Pension cert and mutual benefit life insurance
Land document
ID card and passport page of all family members
Previous visa photocopies
Letter of affidavit from sponsor
Letter of leave from company and company I'd card
Letter of introduction from company and family head
Admission letter from Uregina and letter of intent
CAC documents of registered company but w/out company bank statement because no money inside company account

Bro, your financial status wasn't really bad after all. I think in your re-application, you should pay a good amount of your tuition if you can do that to show commitment and possibly get another closely related or reliable sponsor with a good inflow of funds in his/her account.
Even though CIC stated funds for 1 year alone, it's pertinent to have and show a consistent source of income. This is really important for sustainability throughout the duration of your program. You are closer to getting your study permit if you can tackle this intelligently and consistently. Remember, they still have details of previous reasons for the delay.Your new additional info and document must be in sync with your previous case and situation. All the best brother.
