RomanceRe: Someone Should Please Save A Soul by ayomifull(f): 6:30pm On Jul 22, 2008
its not fair on those guys esp if they are the serious types and the fact that they are not sleeping with you means some of them think they have their life partner. Come to think of it do you really love any of them? Me think u can only fall in love (for real) with one guy at a time. Search your mind and see if you re really in love with any of them then let others go. Simply look for a way to discharge them without putting up a fight because u night still end with one of them

Jobs/VacanciesRe: Sending A Thank You Note After A Job Interview by ayomifull(f): 5:43pm On Jul 22, 2008
I dont think its necessary, you need to say the 'thank you for your time' right there after the interview not sending a thank you after the interview. For what? and if 5 of them interviewed you will you send the text to all of them or choose one to send it to? I think a simple thank you to everyone there at the intvw should suffice

PoliticsRe: Creation Of Adada State:a Balance Needed In The Equation by ayomifull(f): 5:50pm On Jul 21, 2008
Sky Blue:
From my understanding creation of states is seen as a means to give people a voice or as a means of resouce allocation in its most basic sense. But in a country whereby wether or not you create more states corruption and greed and bad government among other things robs the people of voices anyway, what on earth will creation of more states achieve? What has the creation of more states achieved other than a new means for people to get money? This just seems to be again trying to cure cancer with panadol.

TravelRe: 10 Days In Nigeria And I Am Planning To Relocate To Nigeria. by ayomifull(f): 5:11pm On Jul 21, 2008
oaziz:
This is a nice topic. I actually started planning moving back home next year. My plan started in 2006. My settling place would be Abuja. I lived in Lagos for 19 years. I moved to Abuja in 1997 after my mum was posted there. I came to the US in 2001. I am married and have one kid with second one on the way next month. I know everything about Abuja. Abuja is a very nice place to live. Abuja of 2008 is now 25 times better than that of 2001.

I have told many friends that I am moving back to Nigeria, believe me no Nigerian friends have been in support of it. These are people that I met in America, that I am even doing better than them. Waoh! I have never seen people talk bad about their country like my so called friend. They see nothing good about Nigeria. One even told me he would live and die in America.

I consider myself lucky because my mum was offered to buy the 3 bedroom duplex she was given by the government since 1997. She was not interested in the house and contacted me which I paid the 1.5 million dollars deposit to the FCDA in Abuja in 2006. Now I pay 35,000 naira mortgage on it every month through my mum. The mortgage was financed through Aso savings.

Guys, I am pleading with you all to please take the opportunity going on in Nigeria, particularly Abuja. One day your body would reject the gruesome cold weather, abuse, and humiliation we go through in other people's country.

There is no place like nigeria, because that is the only place I feel the real freedom is. Even the westerners who live in Nigeria find it better to live in Nigeria than their country.
Deposit?

TravelRe: Woman Dies In Visa Queue At German Embassy by ayomifull(f): 2:43pm On Jul 21, 2008
landis:
The question: what killed her?

They should do autopsy to find the cause. But it is Nigeria; nothing will be done

Many Nigerians are under stress, with high blood pressure and many are walking corpse and will die under any slight stress.

We should take public health serious in that country.

May her soul rest in peace
Word!

The death may not really have to do with the embassy, if Nigerians are to be mandated to go for free medical check up it would be a disaster, we dont ever care about our health to have regular check ups thus a little stress added to an already hidden health problem can result into death in a second. may her soul rest in perfect peace.

We live to learn everyday, i think people could apply for visa for their parents and have everything submitted without subjecting them to having to go to the embassy, i dont know if this applies to all embassies but some allow applications to be submitted by other persons other that the applicant esp if the applicant is properly invited and a bit old. Its also important to take care of our parent's health with regular money transfer + check ups before we invite them over. i feel for the daughter and pray God give her the fortitude to bear the loss of a precious gift 'MOTHER'
PoliticsWho Was The Best President Nigeria Ever/never Had? by ayomifull(op): 3:02pm On Jul 18, 2008
I grew up hearing complaint from generation to generation about how this president is not good and how that president is terrible. I was wondering if at any time Nigeria ever had a good president or if Nigeria has never been furtunate to have a good leader.

Who was the best president we ever had? Whose government was the best we ever had? Who was the best president Nigeria NEVER had and why or is it that we are just people that can never be pleased?

On the affordability of the fares, he said the company presently charges N27,000 for adults, N18, 200 for children, and N2,000 for infants for two-way flights between the Murtala Mohammed Airport, Ikeja and Victoria Island

So cheap  grin So why complain about trafic chaos when you can fly down in 7 minutes with this amount daily? grin

FamilyRe: Single And Living Alone, How Do You Manage? by ayomifull(f): 3:07pm On Jul 16, 2008
I live alone with my 2 kids and work full time. I am able to cope because my work isnt stressful, i only make sure of my head and my computer not my strenght.

i get up as soon as i can, take my bath, bath the kids, dress them up 4 school and serve them breakfast. while they are having their breakfast i am dressing up for work.

I drop them in school around 9am and i'm off to work. After work (10.30-7.15 or 11.30-8.00) I pick them from the minder. When we get home i fix their dinner, take few minutes asking what they did in school and off they go to bed.

After sending them to bed, i arrange their uniform and school bag, my cloth for the next day, listen to new or watch new and sleep off anytime between 11.30-12am.

On Saturdays i sleep as much as i desire and leave them to do whatever they want to do- watch TV, have bubble bath, play games. When i am tired of sleeping i get up and make us breakfast. Clean d house, do washing, at times make enough stew/soup for the week. Do whatever i then like to do- watch TV, make phone callsetc. If there is party we go for it, if i feel like visiting whoever we pack ourselves inside the car and off we go, occasionally take them to eateries, go for shopping and get back home whatever time we choose to, have dinner and off to bed.

Sundays wake early enough to prepare for church, have breakfast and goes to church. After church most time we just go home and do whatever we feel like and i am preparing for the next day.

I'm so used to that now except when i take time off town, i have a great friend the kids stay with when i'm not in town so i make good use of my holiday. Also its a different situation when they are on holidays, we stay with my friend so all i have to do is wake in the morning take my bath and off to work, like this period.

Ayomifull i like your signature "The best exercise for the heart is bending down and lifting people up.", quite unfortunate your contributions contradict with it!
~What we do for ourselves will be gone when are gone, but what will do for others will remain as a legacy, even when we are long gone!~
Nigeria will take her rightful place amongst the league of nation very soon!
God Bless Nigeria!
So what in my post suggested to you that i am not bending to lift those i can up? Do i have to be in Nigeria to do that? Do you know how much money is transfered into varios pockets from far away countries? what about the bags of clothes, shoes etc that crosses the occean from various wardrobes? I dont have to tell you what i do and dont do i am only accountable to God not man. So if your interpretation of the fact that i am not coming to Nigeria to live means i am not helping anyone but myself then i wonder.

PoliticsRe: Fashola And Tax In Lagos by ayomifull(f): 10:47am On Jul 15, 2008
If that will generate money i see nothing wrong in it, that amount is not a beag deal to banks i suppose. But why does the govt permit the banks to build everywhere in Lagos in the first place? Even in residential places? I was suprised that in less than 5 years there about 5 banks on Ogba road, i wonder if there is anything called plan permission.
