I will advise you to do HND conversion to BSC in Cotonou because it's faster there, tuition fees and accommodation shouldn't be more than 650K, and you will round up within 9 months.

After that you will use your BSC certificate for MSC in Poland.

I have HND too, that's what I plan to do next year.

Though this can still be actualized while he is Canada, process an Open Work Permit for him and you will be glad you did.

Spain does not offer post study visa, once you finish your studies you will exit the country.
