Horlamidei: My mom is set to apply for her canada pr. She has me and my junior sister in all her documents as her only 2children, no family member with her in ontario Canada where she stays. She works and stays alone.
I will clock 29years this December which I think makes me above the age of been a dependent child.
Her worries now is how to get me and my other sibling to Canada.
Please is there anyway or pathway to migrate to join her as am still battling with this ielts stuff??!
I even asked her if there's anyway she can process me to get a pr as she has already declared me and my sister has the only children and family member she has.
Please, any way or pathway even if na visitation sef?? The only way she can easily help you now is to secure a job offer for you in Canada. You will work for a minimum of one year and process your PR yourself. Another option is Express Entry/PNP You will claim points for having a relative in Canada in your Express Entry profile. Saskatchewan and Manitoba gives nominations to Express entry candidates with relatives that are PRs in their provinces... |

LUXAIRTREAVELS: Canada has become an ideal place for higher education studies, sought after by many prospective international students. A number of Canadian universities are among the reputable and internationally top-ranked schools. A recent educational strategy set by the Canadian Ministry of Education stresses on increasing the number of foreign students in the country.
This means that international students coming from around the world are now more than welcomed in Canada. So, it is no wonder it became so popular in terms of education.
Did you know that the detailed educational plan encourages foreign students to pursue jobs during their Bachelor’s or Master’s studies and to remain in the country for work opportunities after graduation.
Toronto, Montreal, Vancouver, Ottawa and Quebec cover for the largest foreign-student population and they all provide a vibrant and lively atmosphere.
In Canada, students can pleasantly combine an enriching academic life with diverse and entertaining leisure activities.
In your study abroad plan, you should give Canada a serious thought, because there are loads of benefits, which Luxair Travels and Tours will be discussing with you in subsequent posts. If you or your sponsor don't have a minimum of 15 million naira, you can't obtain study permit to Canada |

Cousin9999: You could try to study nursing in UK/US/Canada. Once you do that, you're almost guaranteed a good job and citizenship or PR if you want it. They don't really care about your background.
Another option is maybe doing a CELTA cert and teaching English abroad. Your pay won't be great. But your experience will be valuable if you want to go to better places with a better salary. You can also go to school while you're there. Good advice, but Native Speakers are always preferred in terms of teaching English At least that is what I always see on the internet. |

Timtim8989: Most have done all humanly possible but you see this country is very biased , so here is not the final destination ok. Anything legit you can do to survive and have small savings , do and forget your masters degree even if you have... Thanks for emphasising the truth, even with all the skills Upgrade and qualifications, UAE will always prefer Americans, Europeans and Asians over 90% of Africans, The UAE system intentionally or unintentionally favors the whites For example, Americans and Europeans have renewable Visa Free status to UAE, meaning they can enter UAE for fun at any time and apply for jobs and attend interviews at will, they can comfortably reject a worthless job offer and wait to obtain a juicy job offer. Americans and Europeans come with USD and Euros which when converted to AED becomes triple in Value. 5k USD alone is over 15k AED, which they can use to obtain Freelance Visa easily if they so wish. Americans and Europeans don't need to undergo a driving school or driving test in UAE to obtain a UAE driver's licence, they only need to show their home country driver's license to relevant UAE authorities, pay the required fees and get a UAE driver's license. Any African going to the UAE for White collar job must be ready to out compete Americans and Europeans |
Travel › Re: Stop Traveling Without A Skill. by babakb: 9:51pm On Jul 28, 2021 |
Hightser: Greetings all, I feel it’s pertinent to address this issue, the travel section of nairaland is always busy with travel topics or questions about people who wish to migrate, I made a post last time about wanting to travel to Dubai and most people asked me to debunk the idea that Dubai is a difficult place to survive cause there are no jobs there.
A certain NLnder who landed in Dubai also has confessed that the only available jobs are factory jobs, car wash jobs etc. this is to say that he actually settled for one of such. Truth is, you raised about 1.5m naira in Nigeria only to travel to Dubai for menial jobs and he also stated that the high paying jobs are reserved for Indians and Americans.
My question is, if the high paying jobs were not reserved for Indians and Americans, what skill do you actually have to gain such jobs?
Imagine how much hours and how long you would have to work doing menial jobs in Dubai before you can recover the over 1million spent in traveling.
Even while in Nigeria, most people with skill are still earning and living well and maybe planning to japa too.
This post is for whom it may concern, stop traveling without a skill, if you cannot do a car wash job here in Nigeria and you can not also do a factory job here, why go over there to do it and how many years do you think you can do it to raise something tangible?
Well, I am a product designer (ui/ux) also learning flutter development, as I’m typing this post, my phone battery is low, network is slow, generator noise from the neighbors is very disturbing, this and more are the reasons I have decided to travel to Dubai, stay indoors and do my freelance jobs if I don’t see any company to employ me in this tech field and maybe when I raise money from there, I can then migrate to a country with stable economy.
Thanks for reading. You have a point but there are other factors that employers check in international job markets like the UAE. Employers in UAE will prefer workers from countries that enjoy Visa Free access to UAE like Americans, Europeans and Asians, they process their work visa without any hassles. These workers also have Visa Free Access to the rest of Developed countries around the world, they can easily be transferred to work anywhere and do business because they hold a very good Passport. If you want to enjoy all these, obtain a citizenship from a developed country |

Can you speak French? If you can't speak at least the rudimentary French with the view to improve when you get there, your experience will be a very rough one k.
Then the main factor.... MONEY.. Coming to Senegal should be for starting up your business and stuff after proper investigation, not coming to look for work, because if that is what you want to do, oh la la it will not be pleasant....

pansophist: With your Dutch resident permit, you can visit additional 50 countries without a visa spread across Europe, Asia, the Americas, and Africa. Also, Netherlands is built in such a way that you do not need a car. Unlike Canada, where having a car is a must. Just have your monthly travel card and you can visit the whole country unlimitedly. Compare to Canada, Netherlands is lively. Canada is really a lonely place, people hardly mix, forget the diversity rubbish, its all advertisement.
If you have kids, then you must choose the Netherlands. ''Helicopter parenting'' that is prevalent in North America is not here, and society and laws are structured in a way that encourages kid's independence. Kids as young as four go to school with their bikes unsupervised, you'll be free as a parent to do other things unlike Canada where letting your kids as free here can make the government take your kids away from you. Also in Just two hours from Rotterdam, you are in Paris, one hour to Antwerp, and flying around Europe is cheaper than going to Abuja by bus. It is common for Europeans to travel to another country during the weekend, personally, I visit at least 20 destinations annually, within Europe, Africa, and the middle east, yes flying is that cheap. Check out ryanair.com, or wizzair.com, you will see flights as cheap as 10 USD both ways.
See, matter plenty. But if you minus English, I honestly don't see why you will choose a deep freezer over the Netherlands. I was there for a friend's wedding, thinking I would migrate, but men, spending a month there was enough condition that where I am is better. But it is just my opinion, yours may be different. Europe is Visa Free to Canada Citizens, tell us something else |

I am looking for the best place to settle with my Wife and stay for a while and hopefully get citizenship. Does anyone have experience with these places. I need advise based on experience Go to Canada, Canada offers the quickest path to citizenship, you will work for 1 year and process permanent residency, after 3 years of permanent residency you will become a Citizen. It will take you longer time in Netherlands, plus you must learn Dutch to proficiency level. |
