Politics › Re: Why You'll Never Vote For Muhammadu Buhari? by Bawss1(m): 11:16am On Apr 05, 2011
I will not vote Buhari because he has no tangible plans on how to reform Nigeria's economy and how to deal with the Niger Delta problem.

All I hear from team BB is corruption corruption corruption. Jail jail jail

Gaming › Re: Crysis 2 Is The Best Fps Ever Created! by Bawss1(m): 8:56am On Apr 05, 2011
I have a thing against games with predominately alien enemies and Crysis falls in that category. Maybe its because its set way into the future with futuristic weapons or lifeforms that I can't relate to or maybe after playing COD every other FSP seems boring but the game doesn't "move" me at all. Still Crysis 2 is a beautiful game graphics wise.

Politics › Re: Jega Offers To Resign, Jonathan Rejects; Resignation Amounts To Treason – Agf by Bawss1(m): 12:46pm On Apr 04, 2011
If this is true then I agree with GEJ. Jega's resignation at this particular time is totally unacceptable, he should finish what he has started. His appointment as INEC boss was not done by force, so now things are nearing the D-Day he should live up to the responsibilities that he choose to shoulder.
Programming › Re: Please Which Programming Language Does Nigerian Institutions Use ? by Bawss1(m): 12:39pm On Apr 04, 2011
The wordings of this thread's title is wrong. It is correct to say Please Which Programming Language Do Nigerian Institutions Use?

I'm just pointing this out as this thread has hit the homepage. Cheers

@Kobojunkie

"Ahead of the polls, the Federal Government had directed that the nation’s land border be closed form 12 noon today till 6 a.m. on Sunday."

The border closure is just for the election day.

Politics › Re: Ohakim Is A Silent Achiever- Obasanjo by Bawss1(m): 3:44pm On Apr 01, 2011
@ Andrewnwa, if Ohakim's achievement is described as 'tremendous' then what terms will people use in describing the achievements of Fashola and Amaechi?

Ohakim and his Abia state counterpart are arguably Nigeria's most under performing governors of this era.
Politics › Re: Ohakim Is A Silent Achiever- Obasanjo by Bawss1(m): 3:12pm On Apr 01, 2011
Very funny, I think silent achiever is now the politically correct way of referring to an under-performer. cheesy cheesy
Politics › Re: Ohakim Is A Silent Achiever- Obasanjo by Bawss1(m): 3:09pm On Apr 01, 2011
Tochukwu C:
Our dear Governor doesn't brag on his achievements so far because he believes that a leader is meant to serve the people and not the other way round. He brought developments to Imo State because he strongly believes that's how life is supposed to be. i.e when given the opportunity as a Governor of a State, you don't any option other than to work. visit www.ohakim2011.com and www.imomanylies.com.
Your dear governor doesn't brag about his achievements? shocked Yet dstv channels are replete with adverts proclaiming the so called transformation that Ohakim is bringing to Imo State. This wouldn't be a bad thing if there were actually notable achievements, then people will readily surrender bragging rights to him.

I see that the untiring yes men of Ohakim are still at work.
andrewnwa:
Just yesterday, on the arrival of Ex-president of Nigeria Olusegun Obasanjo and his entourage involving the well supported governor of Imo state Dr Ikedi Ohakim to the Dan Anyiam Stadium for the final campaign showdown.

Meanwhile, Dr Ikedi Ohakim known for his simplicity and exemplary leadership called on the people of the state and especially members of the People's Democratic Party [PDP] to remain calm despite what he described as provocations.
I find the bolded exceedingly humorous considering the fact that are far from being true.  grin

Gaming › Re: Do You Think God Will Judge Us For Decisions We Make In Video Games? by Bawss1(m): 11:01am On Apr 01, 2011
My thoughts:

Even though in video games we sometimes deal with non humans it is the underlying volition (if any) that the gamer gives reign to that determines whether we have run afoul of the laws of the Creator. We are taught that the Justice of the Creator is thoroughly encompassing, that every facet of creation is covered within its operation. This does not however mean that the Creator in His Omniscience concerns Himself with every single aspect of areas that humans have an interest in like the weather, politics, sports and as this thread asks video games. . .

Still,

Video games are a form of entertainment and like other forms of entertainment there are good ones and bad ones. By bad games I do not necessarily refer to games that contain violence but games that encourage the indulgence of vices.

Shame on Sahara Reporters. Totally false information. This is an example of how low the opposition is going as they continue on their campaign of lies and calumny.
Now Sahara Reporters will have to bow their head in shame, they have been caught in the act. . .
However this does not give the moral high ground to team GEJ, they too are guilty of such similar "low" acts. All parties have engaged in some degree of lies and calumny in this election.

Thats quite an interesting post you put up. I think though that it would have been better in an appropriately titled thread, not this one.

My dear, there is none. That is why in one particularly annoying campaign advert he tells Imo citizens that he will turn Imo into a UTOPIAN state within 4 yrs. While Fashola, Amechi, Akpabio and co and advertising what they did in the last four years, Ohakim is asking us to dream dreams! The most annoying part is that these adverts are in cable networks! Thank goodness the citizens of Imo have risen against this guy.
^^ He is the DSTV governor you know, all his feats are only seen on DTSV.
Foreign Affairs › Re: How do you think the current Libyan crisis will end? by Bawss1(m): 1:43pm On Mar 30, 2011
MandingoII:
LOL are you kiddinghuh?

Libya will become a Western COLONY like Iraq.

Have you noticed, YOU DO NOT HEAR ANYTHING ABOUT IRAQ anymore? huh

You know why?

Because the U.S and European countries are funnelling that OIL out of Iraq and put down the Insurgents. They gave up.

Why?
Because their neighborhoods are bombed out/ no lights , no drinking water, sewage everywhere, and just plain unlivable conditions. THIS is whats going to happen to Libya.

Libya has one of the higher standards of living for an African Country. NOT ANYMORE. They will become SLAVES to the Western Corporations and immediately take a MAJOR pay cut!

They will become poorer THAN poor, its fugged up what the GREEDY CAPITALISTS DOES for WEALTH.
What kind of analysis is this, Mr. Doomsday Prophet. Here you have given full reign to your anti western fantasy. Isn't it even good that Iraq is no longer in the news as it used to be, let them try to rebuild their country without any any reports of violence or conflict. I'm curious to know what prompts these kinds of statements. Yes the West (i.e USA) did a bad job in Iraq but should people sit back and watch as Ghadaffi continue his tyrannical rule of Libya? Would you rather that he continues to kill citizens of Libya?
Politics › Re: Wow! What A New Face! by Bawss1(m): 12:04pm On Mar 30, 2011
Every day on NL we see people who come and sing praises for one of Nigeria's worst governors, this thread being the latest evidence of my statement.
Politics › Re: 3,800mw Vs 4,000mw - The True Picture by Bawss1(m): 11:38am On Mar 30, 2011
efisher:
“When we say we have 4,000mw some people call to say no it is a lie, but it’s true. This station Egbin presently has the capacity to generate 1,100mw, but in the process of delivering power to the people, it is fluctuating. Indeed, Nigeria has had over 4,000mw of electricity now, but what we are sending out in the average is 3,800mw because of the frequency control that regulates the supply.” he explained.
The point here is that 3800MW is what is available for use not what the capacity of our stations is.
