My wife and I have been married for 3 years, God has blessed our matrimony with a beautiful daughter. My wife is so decent, caring and beautiful inside out. I have been a great husband and father to my pretty daughter. I have never cheated on my wife since we got married.

Recently, she barely give me sex. Infact it would take a whole month before I could see Just the color of her undies and I wasn't happy about it.

Last week Wednesday, I committed an unspeakable abuse, I'm so ashamed of myself. I Raped my wife and I hate myself since that incident.

Honestly, I don't know what came over me that particular day, I tried to make advances towards her, she refused and she pushed my hand away. Out of anger I slapped her on her face (she bled from her mouth), I overpowered her and forcefully had my way through. She cried all through that night.

I regretted my actions, I feel remorse, I hate my Life . I have begged her seriously to forgive me but she haven't said a word to me for over 5 days now. She cook for just herself and my daughter, she no longer sleep in our matrimonial bed, she would rather sleep in my daughter's room or the visitor's room, she no longer greets me anymore.

I have never abused, beat or raised my hands on my wife or any woman before. Last week was my first time I did such an abominable act in my Life . What If any one notice we're having issues now, how will I explain to them what actually happened?

I don't even want my little daughter to know we're having issues. I don't know who to talk to. It's a faceless forum that's why I'm sharing my pain here . Pls how do I restore back happiness in my home, I need my wife to forgive me. I'm truly sorry from the depth of my heart and I promise it will never happen again.

No matter how innocent, gentle, religious a woman is, there's a 99.8% chances that she will cheat if she is approached by an upgraded version of her current man.... The remaining 2% is because of timing and location.

There is so much wisdom and truth in this.... not just an upgraded version of her man but any other man that meets her immediate needs such as need for sex....

Women only truly settle down when they are no longer attractive (their leverage which is attractiveness) is gone.

Thats why husbands today do not get a good deal as the women are only settling after having their fun....and even then many do not truly settle down as they would still sleep with any other guy despite being married; until her attractiveness fades completely.

It is because marriage has outlived its usefulness in the modern day society and we are not ready to face the reality. I am in a marriage already and it's less than a year old and I can tell you it's a scam. I don't see us doing a second year anniversary in this sham we call marriage. Let me give you an analysis, before marriage I a single happening guy and full of life, I had several women at my beck and call and I had a cleaner to clean my flat weekly, someone that cooks for me and deliver it to my doorstep and that's excluding the several women willing to do same function without any cost, I had someone that comes to wash my clothes every weekend and I was also able to save a considerable chunk of my 7 figure monthly pay. I have gotten married now and that situation remains unchanged except that of course I no longer have access to other women and a major part of my finance is going into taking care of another human being in the name of a wife while she's constantly saving her own money or spending it on frivolities.
Now tell me why I won't feel shortchanged and scammed in this union of fantasy called marriage that has taken everything away from me but given me nothing. The very least I should be getting is a woman to cook for me but all those basic domestic issues are still being outsourced to vendors as it was before I got married hence the woman had added no single value to my life but has taken away so much from me.
This is the very reason men are running from marriage now and if I want to advise any single man out there I'd tell him to stay away. The union called marriage is no longer relevant in today's world since women have started forming feminism and we will keep seeing more divorces once people realize they have been scammed into it by the society.

Very interesting thread. I don laugh tire for comments. Using the Bible as a standard and my reference, marriage is disproportionately skewed against the man. The man is expected to provide for his family (wife inclusive oh) 100%. However, remember too that God created the woman to be a helper, to assist the man. The catch here is for the man to "find a wife" that translate to "findeth a good thing" and "obtaineth favour from God". Once the man gets and marry a good wife, everything falls into place. Cause, a good wife will build a home with the husband; help to manage the resources of the home; offer quality advice to the man; brings in her money willingly to assist etc. Marriage becomes like heaven on earth.

Conversely, if the man marry wahala wife, e don be for the man. This is the bitter truth. So, ladies work on yourselves to become a God-sent wife and not to give the husband hypertension and stress in marriage.

There's nothing like "sexual immorality" (unless it's stuff like prostitution)....

There's also nothing like "cheating".....

So while yes a woman can cheat too this power is capped for most women at 35 and for any outliers at 40..... whereas Men hv at least 25 more years.... so it's not a level playing field. Those indices are not true.... they are tools by the West to market their countries and colonies such as Canada...

For example in the UN quality of life and development indices, Canada is often ranked highly.... but ive lived in Canada its actually crap there - cold 5 months year (-20 degrees celcius), unaffordable housing etc....
