Please I need you guys advice on this.
Am 19 years of age, the first child in the family of five (four boys with one girl). At this point in life am just totally confused on which career to take on between Programming and Farming... Yea you heard it clear Farming (livestock to be specific) but each time am inspired to pick one the zeal for the other keeps popping up. But honestly Farming seems to be the at its peak as am writing this but considering the money involved, I get discouraged easily.
If I should go for programming, the money to start it comfortably is still an issue.
Talking of passion: I just don't know which one to choose
Please I sincerely need your advice on this.

What's the 1st thing that pops into your head when u wake up? Is it something related to farming or programming?

My mind is really disturbing me and I still love my ex I wish I’ve a way to bring her back to Nigeria so we can start a family I don’t care the type of job she went there to do and I don’t mind what she has been through. She did so much for me, she made sacrifice that this my new girl won’t do, I don’t even know if my new girlfriend loves me or because of my money.

Though I love my new girlfriend but part of me is with my ex I don’t know if she’ll will be willing to return though I’ve not discussed it with her. And now my new girlfriend threatening to leave me if I assist or give back the money my ex gave me as support for my business before she travelled to her family I’ve been down for days thinking so much.

Let your current ex-to-be know that your travelling-traveller-ex did support your ministry with a huge sum and that had helped your church to move to a permanent site, hence, you should reciprocate without any strings attached!

Click your battery and select manage power ....

My laptop goes off on it's own then I'll hear the fan rolling for a few secs then it stops

If I try to on it again, the button lights will come on and the fan will make noise then it will go off on it's own within 5-10 secs.

The laptop is a HP Elitebook 8460p.

It's probably the processor and graphics card paste drying out and not conducting the heat way fast enough so, it's over heating.

Ensure the fan is working fine then try get paste ... Scrape off the old one and put new... Or get a computer engineer to do that ... U may change the cooking fan too ...

I have hp elitebook 8540p with same issue ...

Had same issue but had to tweak the speed ... Put maximum speed at 70% when on high performance and 65% when on balanced ...

It's been working for me since a year ....

I use the laptop to render 3d animated motion graphics / video editing

I don't really like posting things on Nairaland. My mother owns a huge provision store and I had to help her manage it for some months before I left for NYSC. It was during this time that I met my girlfriend.

She was always coming to buy things, infact it got to a point that once she notice I am the only one in the shop she will come and ask for things she obviously knows we don't sell . Then she got my number and started sending me happy new month and wellness texts. I can't remember how she got my number tho

Long and short of the story, she is always forcing me to bring her milk, biscuits, bournvita, bread and other things. If it were the satchet ones it would have been better but she insisted on the big tin. I gave her 3 times then I stopped complying and I stopped picking her calls. So the following week, She came to my shop and started picking things totaling 7k and left without paying

I am unemployed, so how am I going to offset her debts? So i went to her mother's shop where they sell herbal leaves and reptiles for African jazz. When I got there to ask for the money of the things she bought from my shop, she stood up and with a firm grip held the collar end infront of my neck.

With a wild eye she screemed that she will not pay and if I pester her too much she will deal with me. She did said some words but it's like she was stammering maybe because of anger or she was speaking another language. That day I could not sleep because my heart was pounding like 50 women were pounding yam on my heart.

And just yesterday my mother took loan to restock the shop. This girl came again this morning and picked 4 loaves of bread and 2 milk. When I tried to shout, she gave me a very mean stern look and said she's coming back in the evening to pick more.

Hope this girl will not kill me like this

It all started when I was chating with my business partner on whatsapp and I was explaining some stuffs to her and she didn't understand so she called my number for me explain better so when she called my number
Someone picked The call and said his name is David.

She had to send me a message on whatsapp to tell me what happened but then I was shocked because I didn't even see any call.

So I told her to call me again she called the same number the second time then I picked The call and we talked but she didn't believe I was The one who picked the call so I had to send her a message on whatsapp to tell her I'm The one who picked The call this time.

She had to call again and the David guy picked it up again.

One thing is for sure I also go by the name David but I never in my life introduce myself as David.

I was chating with a close friend of mine on whatsapp and he called me to tell me about a link he sent to me on whatsapp.

I am a married man with two kids, lost my job early this year were I worked my life with no weekend and holiday only my leave in the year. life have not been Rossy ever since. my savings have been depleted trying to keep my family going.

Real life hustle on a daily basis is real for I have to use my vehicle to run town service to keep the family going. after daily family expenses not always can I save a thousand naira. This have left me in a state of depressions for when school resume how will I be able to pay my kids tuition fee.
My wife on the other hand is so stressed out with her blood pressure increasing. Coping with each other attitude is by God's grace, as we bearly chits charts. now she find comfort sleeping in the childrens room limiting the chances of hearts to heart conversation for understanding and way forward in life.

I must salute your courage in the course of making ends meet for the home.

An average woman doesn't think deep and logically hence, why they make silly mistakes.

I guess you didn't lose your job cos of something bad u did but due to the state of things generally in the country and I personally believe she should be understanding and not pass aggression on you.

Rather you should both figure out what to do to keep your heads afloat ...

Call her, sit her down and let her know that things will definitely get better with time but before then, you really have to take things slow .... Or else, complications may develop health-wise ... And that can kill faster than anything

Pls, do no allow depression to set in o.... Continue to hustle here and there ...but start looking inward at what u have that can bring in money for u ... Skill, assets etc

When school resumes, u will definitely pay your kids school fees but don't use worry to kill yourself before then ....

I want to buy a laptop(foreign Used) but I am kind of confused on which laptop is the best for me. I just want a Perfect laptop with good processor speed graphics card that can play GTA 5(gaming) for me and carry other heavy softwares.

So, I am contemplating on buying either Dell E6530, or Dell E6540, or Dell E6520, or Dell E6430, or Dell E7440.

I would like to know which laptop is the best among the ones I mentioned above?

U need a laptop with discrete graphics card like Nvidia and good ram starting from 8gb.

For your budget, I'm not sure u can get Dell but hp elitebook 8540p or those series will fit your budget

My first daughter is 5 years old and my second daughter is 2 years old .

Ever since they were born , there has been a tussle between myself and my parents ( mother especially) to allow my daughters go for Female Genital Mutilation due to the reason that females that don't do it tend to be promiscuous in life .

But I have always stood my ground that not doing such for them doesn't mean they would be promiscuous.

I have always told my mum that doing such is risky and unhealthy and my researches have shown that most females who undergo such procedure tends to loose interest in sex later in life which later creates marital problems in the future .

Let me start by saying am in a depression zone/confused. You can use your skills to generate income either via employment or freelancing .

I'm almost 20 and my parents have never mentioned anything about sex to me, not even to tell me me about abstinence.

When I was in secondary school, I hear my friends discuss about the things their parents told them about sex, especially that infamous line "don't allow a boy to touch you, if not you'll get pregnant" , and I'll laugh with them but I could never relate. The only time my mum has even come close to telling me about sex was when our neighbour's daughter was raped, she told me I should be careful with boys and even if I wanted to have sex I should use a condom, I was quite surprised though.

Even my Dad who's more conservative have never even mentioned the word sex to my hearing before .

I wonder if they'll ever discuss it with me, or maybe it's too early, or are they shy or scared to approach the topic.

PS; I've asked my neighbour about it and she says the only time her parents tells her anything about sex is when they are quarrelling her and they'll be like "if you like go and get pregnant and come back to my house, I'll throw you out".

And I can't even broach the issue with them, there are some questions I would like to ask them about sex and I feel they are the only ones who can answer them.

Mine does that too.

2 things.

1. Your laptop is draining or demanding more power than it needs due to a big fat charger or
2. You have lowered your gen output capacity to save fuel, u know, naija sense.

I use a 4.7A output charger for my 8540p and I've been using it with APC power surge since August 2017, never got a downtime or HDD issues. Upgraded to SSD and it's been awesome except the silly overheating due to that thermal paste isssh ....

My 8540p suddenly switched off then refused to power on.
When I press the power button the power light flashes green 3 time very fast then turns red and goes off. ( While doing this the fan comes on then goes off)

Remove the battery.
Disconnect the laptop from power supply
Press and hold down the power button for about 30 seconds
Reinsert the battery, connect the power supply and power on

Learn cinematography and video editing with a lil compositing ....
Add a lil mix of music, say, piano ... And a bit of computer repair ...Mac and Windows ...
... U will be fine bro

Nairaland Car Gurus please help me find permanent solution to my golf 3 car(America spec) doing overheating barely every day

I started experiencing this over heating after the change of fuel pump and speedometer censor was changed by a recommended Rewire

I'm using this golf for commercial business, nothing give me any issue in the car than this over heating, is becoming embarrassing when I carry passengers and it started. the car is clean and engine is working fine

it's relay today, it's the water in the radiator boiling tomorrow, I'm becoming sick of this. my mechanic told me when it started this night that my gasket is damaged in the process. I put water in the radiator everyday because of this over heating

please what do you guys suggest as the permanent solution to this over heating gazzuzz Sienna royallord1 and others and I wouldn't mind a recommendation of good Rewire. I reside in Lagos.

A friend once told me something about volks and overheating.

Said it usually that plastic reservoir (that round plastic like ball) that's always the culprit.

Once it's broken or has the tiniest hole, over heating starts.

Try change that and look at the one u are buying carefully to ensure its not broken and gummed
