Admission Set To Commence Soon As NUC Issues Ned Nwoko's Sports University Operational License

Plans are at top gear to commence admission of new students at the newly established Sports University Idumuje Ugboko, Delta State as the National Universities Commission on Thursday 12th May 2022 presented an operational license to the academic institution.

The founder and Chancellor of the university, Prince Ned Nwoko in company of friends and associates was at the NUC headquarters in Abuja where the certificate was presented.

This will be the first Sports University in Nigeria and Sub-Sahara Africa.

Our correspondent gathered that the school will also run conventional university programmes in addition to Sports and students will graduate with double honours. Admissions are expected to commence 2022/2023 academic year.

With this development, Sports University can now start full operation as the structures are springing up very fast at permanent site in Delta State. This has been described as a big win for the sports community in Nigeria and Africa.

Regina Daniels, wife of the billionaire founder of the University had taken to her Instagram page to announce this piece of news.

She wrote, "Join me to congratulate my husband once again as he received the approval certificate for the sports university, Idumuje Ugboko, Delta State".

According to her, "This is a huge win for all sports men and women in Nigeria and in Africa as at large. The goal is to provide an enabling high-tech environment for the training of world class sportsmen and women akin to a model of excellence in sports and academics."

Minister of Education, Prof. Adamu Adamu presented the certificates to the founders of the new institutions

Others in company of Hon. Ned Nwoko include, Olympic Gold medalist and police officer, Chioma Ajunwa, John Fashanu, Fmr Minister of Youth & Sports Solomon Dalung, The Project Implemention Committee Chairman, Prof. Nduka Uriah, The University Project Coordinator, Mr Godwin Osigbeme, Mr Chuks Anyaduba and host of others.

Former senate President and presidential aspirant bukola saraki on Tuesday officially welcomed singer olubankole Wellington popularly known as Banky W to the peoples democratic party.

Banky W had on April 2 announced his membership of PDP and also declared his intention to contest the seat for the Eti Osa federal constituency in the 2023 general elections.

There's nothing like better prepared or best material for president - The elected National Assembly and State governors are the ones who could make or mar an elected president's fortune in office. Crazy folks

yolkman20:
Good day guy,
Tried exchanging 1300£ on flutterwave on Friday and I realized I have to snap my id real time to verify, although the pounds had been debited. Later that evening when I had my ID, I forgot and used another Gmail account which was diff from the one I used earlier. I got verified on this new account and that was when I knew I bleeped up. Going back to the old account to complete verification and it failed due to duplicate verification. I mailed them and explained situation and they responded 24hrs that I have to cancel one as customers can't have to accounts. I responded and told them to cancel the second one since I wasn't debited on that. They haven't said anything since then. I've mailed them via Twitter and IG, no response.

I'm scared cos na part of school fees. Hope they're not scam sha.

Pls don't mind comments insulting or abusing your sense of reasoning. A responsible woman in relationship with a guy deserves to know and you are doing just that. My thoughts below

1. If there's an issue and the place is raided, your fiance would have no way of confirming how he go to stay there without a receipt or an agreement with the landlord.

2. He has no way of confirming the personality of the co-tenants and what they do or who they are

3. Since he occupies the largest space and pays the highest bill, he deserves to have access to the original rent receipt except there's something fishy which they are hiding from him.

4. He can be ejected at anytime without quit notice.

html14java:
Please nls, I need your advice.
My Fiancé rented a 1 room and Palour out of a 3 bedroom flat. Its well demarcated so they only share the kitchen. The other two rooms are occupied by 2 different individuals which were tenants before him. He came in through one of the earlier occupants and they've been living very fine.

Please I wish to know
What are the dangers of living in such apartment if perhaps issues arise because

1. The lawyer or the landlord according to him, is not aware of the development. Once the rent expires, they get paid and so have no need coming around in a long time.
2. From what my guy said, All 3 of them are not the first occupant of the Flat. It was handed over from the original tenant to his co tenant who rented it out to him.
3. Though he has the lion share of all bills(electric and security), since he occupy the larger part of the house, he has no access to the original rent receipt.
4. Other flat, are all occupied by family men and have no need to share. Just his flat.

So, the enlightened in the house, please what are the dangers of living in such place perhaps issues arise among the tenants in the future?

Teach him to speak calmly ...take the words slowly and one after the other. Don't admonish him or rush him into speaking. Always be attentive even when he's stuttering so he doesn't start feeling depressed at other people's frustration listening to him.

I got a conditional offer to Coventry University last week. Please is there a Whatsapp group for Coventry University? Also I'm confused abt something in the letter: course start is may 2022 but enrollment date is September 2022. Is it a mistake or what's ur candid advice. I expect the course start date to be after the enrollment date. Pls help. Thanks

1. See if you can get a letter of invitation written on your behalf by the university to cover your parents
2. Provide proof of accommodation, funds to cover her stay with you guys
3. Ensure she has proof of strong ties back home - eg an ongoing business venture, family etc

My thoughts too but the topic is saying New Ministry of Defence as if the old Ministry of Defence would be scrapped or something

PDPGuy:
Presently, the 3 branches of the Armed forces have their separate HQ buildings in Abuja, and the civilian workers are largely based at the Ministry of Defense building.
But what the perm sec is saying is that he wants ALL branch headquarters to be under one roof, and for the civilian workers to be under the same roof as well, like the Pentagon in the US.

So how were they operating before? Does he understand that
Nigeria Defense Hq = Pentagon and
Minster of Defence (Nigeria) = US Defence Secretary

or are we missing something here?

Islie:
The permanent secretary said when created, the new defence ministry would see the various services operating under the same roof in a ‘Pentagon-like’ style, where both military and civilian staff would be working together.

Sorry to hear this.

First you shouldn't have rushed to power it on. Remove the battery and sun it to dry or use a hot blower fan.
Secondly, the backdrop screen paper (so i call it) is wet and would take time to clear up. Happened to my Mac and took time to clear up. Prepare for the worst though - screen dying.

Next time, use a waterproof bag to ensure your laptop is well protected, Samsung laptop parts may be expensive to replace.

Olam09:
Omo i don chop breakfast oo..
Please techie savvy guys what can i do to my lappy water don enter the screen i was even thinking it'll never come on again.

For those who'll blame me on why i enter the heavy rain note this is not my first time entering into heavy rain with my laptop in the bag.
But yesterday night rain bad.

Can you please help me push this to the fp. I need suggestions asap!

Nobody is saying anything, I will be going with the option of selling the property. The hope of having a better future in a better country is far better than being in a dilapidating building that can not be repaired when something spoils. It's crystal clear that graduates have no hope of good future in Nigeria. I only hope and pray that I don't offend my mum's spirit when I finally do. Cheers
