tribalmall:Do you have a brain between your ears? What nonsense is this one saying. A serving minister of the Federal republic as part of a policy to commit GENOCIDE against christians and you don't think that the highest ranking christian in the govt should do something about it? |
With the latest revelations that Isa Pantami was a signatory to a communique that called for the persecution and murder of Christians in the North, the position of the vice president Osinbajo has now become untenable. The vice president MUST go to Buhari and demand that either Pantami is sacked or he resigns. If he refuses to do this, it means he's in support of muslim terror being unleashed on christians in this country. The usual game of pretending not to be aware of what's going on and playing the ostrich will not work this time. Osinbajo, man up and do the right thing. |
These are the fundamental issues we should be discussing in this country. Not where the next president will come from in 2023. The Nigerian ship of state is seriously faulty and no president, no matter where he/she comes from can rectify it, until the country is fundamentally restructured. The current situation of the funds being distributed to the states and LG's from the federation account is a fisica abomination which is not done anywhere in the world that operates a federal system. Why would states and Lg's be serious about IGR when they are getting 'awoof' money every month? This is why with the exception of Lagos, no state in Nigeria can survive without it's monthly allocation. States and LG's must be fully autonomous economically. Oil revenue should be used by FG to fund strategic national projects like high speed rali, power, high speed broadband across the country, road networks, universities.....etc. Once the states and LG's are responsible for raising their revenue, the governors will be forced to cut back on some of their wasteful ways. |
I've been telling people if Nigeria ever breaks up, most of the resulting nations will be virtual war zones. |
The same state where less than 50 students passed 5 WAEC credits recently. WmThe north are a curse on the landscape. |
Very good. I pray all the vigilante groups in the North are successful in wiping out the bandits who have made life unbearable |
Please count the Edo Kingdom out of any Southern Nigeria. We remember what it was like in the western region when the Yoruba used to oppress us, we also remember being invaded by Biafra during the civil war. If Nigeria breaks, the Edo Kingdom is going it's own way. |
Obaseki was 100% correct. |
4ckyou:God bless you. I really don't understand why anybody thinks the Edo kingdom will have to either be in 'Niger Delta Republic' or 'Odua Republic' Edo has everything needed to be a functional nation. Our population is similar to that of Finland and Denmark, we have fertile land, natural resources and human resources. We can do very well on our own. |
After all this grammar he dis mot say Obaseki lied Usless CBN governor. |
Jibril has returned to Sudan for Ramadan. He shall return to Abuja end of next month |
If Nigeria breaks, Edo will go its own way. We were always an independent Kingdom before being colonised and we will return to that. |
Why is it that Northerners ALWAYS run down the economy? Shangri left us with Austerity and scarcity of essential commodities after Obasanjo had handed him a robust economy Babangida destroyed the middle class with SAP and introduced mega inflation to the economy Abacha gave us the years of locust. Obasanjo restored sanity in the economy to the extent that the international community gave us debt forgiveness GEJ grew the economy to become the largest in Africa Buhari has once again destroyed the middle class the Naira is in free fall. I am sorry but Northerners simply do not understand how to run a modern economy. When they are in govt it's just hardship and violence all over the place. I can't believe some of my southern brothers voted TWICE FOR this man. I can only hope all your eyes are clear now and in 2023 you will only vote for somebody that has a TRACK RECORD of achievement in economic management. |
Seriously is it not time do a simple deal with the British, especially as they have left the EU and are looking for new opportunities around the world? We basically do a lease agreement with them like what existed in Hong Kong. Let them come back and rule Nigeria for 100 years. That will be around 3 generations of Nigerians will learn to do things properly. I honestly can't see anyway forward if after 60 years of independence a country that produce Oil and Gas, and has a coastline for wind power and has abundant sun for solar power, can not even produce enough electric power for this people. It's a BIG shame |
gbagyiza:Sorry but a govt must live within it's means. Are you saying that all civil servants must be allowed to reach retirement age, even if it bankrupts the state? Times change, there are jobs some people were employed for 20 years ago which are not needed now due to technology advancements, or rationalization of functions. Do you just keep people on the payroll even if they are not contributing anything? |
paulsoniv:My wife did a NYSC in Kano a decade ago. She tells how on payday she would she hundreds of people suddenly appear at the office to collect payslips. She would not see most of them till the next payday. Ghost workers are a MAJOR problem in the most states. It's time states brought in external auditors to audit the public sector payroll. |
Buhari is not the problem. Everybody knew what he was about. Even his own Northern brothers knew how tribalistic he is. Go and read IBB's coup speech in 1985 and even there he refers to Buhari not being ideal for a complex country like Nigeria. Yet despite all this Tinubu forced him on the SW. Even worse after seeing how useless and tribalistic he was SW voters voted for him again in 2019. I am sorry but they are to blame for everything the south has suffered since 2015. It's the ultimate insult that the same Tinubu thinks he can come and be president. |
It depends on which Buhari you want to meet. The dead one? The dementia one? The youthful one? The Sudanese one? The Lagos bus driver? There are many Buhari's please be specific on which one you want to meet then we can better assist you ![]() |
Mayng01:69 years old with a 60 year old daughter! |
If the nation is properly restructred and power devolved to the states, the issue of where the President comes from will be of much less importance |
I know many Ibo people will recent what I am going to write, but it's the reality. The most marketable Ibo person today, a person who can win votes from every section of the country is Madam Ngozi. All the rest of the so called Ibo front runners are just jokers. Does anyone really thing Rochars or Kalu will win votes in Kano or in Oyo? Please stop dreaming. The Ibo's need to drop this 'President must come from the SE Nonsense' and really round Ngozi. She has the pedigree, the intellect and the acceptability across the land. If they don't they can look forward to many more years of heartache. |
One day you too will be out of office, just like Reuben Abatti. Then Nigerians will remind you of all your silly words |
It's up to Nigerians, especially the youths to decide if they will come together and take their destiny in their hands, or will they continue with petty tribal divisions and insults 'Afonja this, Ipob that...' while the elite continue to milk them dry |
Just imagine if you can, a Nigeria ruled by the cocaine sniffing Tinubu and the dollar stuffing idiot from Kano. It will be a million times worse than what we have now. |
Fedric:Guy there is nothing mysterious about women, they are an open book. If your girl is no longer taking your calls, it's because she is no longer interested in you. Sorry but you need to face the truth. Most of us have been there at one time or another. Trust me when they say 'There are many fish in the water' Don't ever pine over just 1 woman for too long. Best thing you can do now, is stop calling her for a while and start checking out some other ladies. if she really still wants you, she'll be the one to come and look for you, if not, at least you save on phone bill calling her for nothing. |
Good one from Bala Mohammad. GEJ remains head and shoulders above the current zombie in Aso Rock. |
I beg make una find wife for this pastor. The man has gone steadily more crazy since his divorce.!! |
Edo state has never claimed it is in the Niger Delta. We are who we are and who we have always been Mid-West. All this SS, Niger Delta stuff do not really describe the Edo's properly. |
Fashola will never support Tinubu when he wants the position for himself |
Even the paid zombies cant defend this. |
I can't stand Buhari and his govt, but on this one we need chill out. No president anywhere in the world is required to hand over to the VP just because he is out of the country. Moreso in the tech age where you can work remotely from anywhere in the world. The only time the president needs to hand over is if he's going to undergo a procedure like an operation, that would make him incommunicado for an extended period. As long as that is not the case then there is noting to get excited and heated up about |
Seeing how a candidate from Adamawa can score 2 out of 400 in common entrance and be treated the same as a candidate from Anambra who scores 220. Such numerical miracles are only possible in 'One Nigeria' BTW the dumb as candidate from Adamawa will end up being the boss of the bright candidate from Anambra. Another benefit of 'One Nigeria' |
