MalcoImX:Please do not EVER dare to compare Gani and Obasanjo. Gani was a true giant of truth and justice. Obasanjo is nothing more than a hypocritical tyrant, who try's to portray himself as some kind of saint when in fact he's actually the biggest daemon of all. |
Kx:Nonsense!! Obasanjo is only angry becasue GEJ refused to be controlled by him. We need to raise the level of our thinking and stop taking sides with any of these rogues. To be clear, OBJ is a rogue, GEJ is a rouge, Buhari is an honest man surrounded by rogues. Nigerians grow up, shine your eyes and don't let corrupt people play you against each other |
Please people get some brains and stop letting these old men play you like toys. Obasanjo endorsed Buhari quite strongly and with no ambiguity. Maybe now he has been made some offers or some people have told him one of two things or maybe he's got wind that the PDP rigging machine(which he knows well) is going to be well oilled to ensure a GEJ victory, either way, for whatever reason after endorsing Buhari, he's now backtracking and trying to hedge his bets. The man is a shameless, cunning old fox, who should not be taken seriously by any right thinking person |
Please somebody find a daughter in law for this old goat to have sex with, so he can leave us all in peace ![]() |
ideylaff:For God's sake there's nothing Jega can do in this situation. The people you should be angry with are the service chiefs. They are clearly playing a political script. What do you expect Jega to do? Let's say he insists on holding the election next week, and during the vote, there's wide scale violence and people loose their lives. What then? The service chiefs will turn around and say its all Jega's fault for not taking their advice. |
Power of the incumbency will always be greater than power of the opposition. ![]() |
OP this is what happens when you eat beans after 9pm ![]() |
This is nothing but cynical politics and both sides play it. This is why I tell people BOTH APC and PDP are not worth you dying for. They are both only interested in power and whatever it takes to get it. |
Amazing what happens when the troops finally get some equipment. If the US had not been blocking our efforts to get equipment for months, this could have been ended much sooner. Kudos to the gallant troops, your victory is certain |
kay1one:I feel sorry for the youth. They are desperate, they want change, they have had enough of seeing nothing work in the country. I can understand and relate to that. It's a shame that the ACP seem to played upon this desperation to foster GMB upon the Nation. An honest upright man indeed, but one clearly lacking the intellectual talents to take the country forward. Rather Tinubu and co just see an opportunity to loot the nation from behind. |
organic973:Well said! It really bothers me how so many people are blindly following GMB. He has become like some kind of God like figure who can do no wrong. This is a set up for disappointment. I know GEJ has not been quite a success but please let us not just blindly match from the frying pan into the fire. Remember what happened in Egypt. In their rush to get rid of Mubarak they elected Morsi, who ended up being worse and the people had to come out again to kick him out. It seems like the ACP want to smuggle GMB onto us, with as little scrutiny of the man as possible. It's a real shame he's not going for the debate, he's letting himself down big time. This election is a lot closer than people think and GMB can't really afford too many self inflicted wounds. |
Oputa panel: No show Debate 2015: No Show Certificate: No show Na wa for this man of integrity O!! |
As a still undecided, I was looking forward to the debates to weigh up both men. I feel this is a very bad move from GMB. Why did he not raise his concerns all this time. It would have been far better to raise his concerns and then if they were not addressed properly he could withdraw. This makes it look like he is afraid to debate. |
They said the same about Putin, Gaddafi and Saddam. No big deal, I don't care what the west says they only have their own interest in mind. Please show me one voter in the US or UK who decided to vote for a candidate based on the views of the Nigerian Vanguard or Punch or Thisday. Why do we always raise these people to some god like level, where their word is law and we must obey? I am still undecided but leaning towards voting Buhari, however I vote thought will be based on my assessment of the candidates and what they I feel they can do for the country, I will not be influenced by foreign media or politicians. |
I though Amechi said 'Over his dead body' would GEJ use the stadium. Now GEJ has used the stadium what next? This is why Nigerian politicians should learn to watch their mouth. It's quite easy to talk big but if you can't back it up you make yourself look quite silly. ![]() |
Good Night fallen Eagle. |
My take on this is I think Buhari is not naive, maybe he was in 2011 but by now OBJ has briefed him on the realities on politics in Nigeria. He must know that he owes Tinubu something should he win the election, however by the time he wins he'll be the President C IN C, with enormous power at his disposal. I think he'll meet Tinubu half way, with some juicy appointments, although I see him warning that if any of the appointees are caught in corruption they would face the full wrath of the law. Revoking Oil block licenses would be very difficult unless the aim is to nationalize them. There are legal implications, and the FG could be taken to court. If he revokes them and then Tinubu is seen to get some in new auctions, there will be a massive out cry, also it would do nothing to sooth what would be a very volatile situation in the South-South, after the loss of the Presidency. In summary Buhari would be expected to reward Tinubu to some degree, but maybe not as far as Tinubu expects. Tinubu will have to play along as he has nowhere else to go. |
The real problem here is not with Buhar per se, it's the fact that the Northerners have been fooling the rest of us for decades. I am confident that the vast majority of Northerners who are in their 60's/70's today and have held senior positions in the armed forces/Civil service, NEVER had the qualifications to do so. For God's sake even now we have a situation where a kid from Adamawa can pass common entrance with 5 out of 400. What kind of SSC result do you expect such a kid to latter get? Please everybody let's be honest with ourselves. If you are going for a job interview you are required to bring your certificates. What we can see now is that even when Buhari first applied to join the Army he NEVER presented them the original c of his certificates from which they could make copies. Later he swore an affidavit that his certificate was with the Army. That affidavit was FALSE. No If's No but's. Please think of tomorrow. If he can lie on something like this what will he do tomorrow. What will he do when investigators present him with evidence of corruption from APC members? Will he lie it away so it dose not cause him problems. I have no doubt that person for person, Buhari is more honest and upstanding than GEJ, but he's not the messiah we need in this country. We need to go back to the drawing board and start to plan for 2019 and ensure that a PROVEN achiever like Fashola or Osho baba is the candidate of REAL CHANGE, not Buhari who is part of the establishment trying to present himself as a change agent. |
ilugunboy:Really? Where was all that integrity when they were slicing open the wombs of Igbo women to kill their unborn babies? Where was all that integrity when they killed a female teacher who's only crime was to stop a student cheating? Where was all that integrity when they slaughtered poor innocent youth coppers who were only doing their national duty? Where was all that integrity when they burnt churches and killed Christians for cartoons printed in Denmark, despite condemnation of the cartoons by CAN? NO, The Hausa/Fulani are a blood thirsty, cruel, backward people. It defies comprehension that educated southerners would actually be routing for them to rule again. I guess many of you are too young to remember what it was like when they ruled last. All I can say is be careful what you wish for. |
IPP's eh. Let me guess all to be owned by Tinubu and his family abi? |
Once again I simply can't understand Nigerians. How can anybody not be concerned about the health status of ALL the main candidates for President after the fiasco we had with Yar'dua. Let me be clear I am NOT a GEJ supporter, I class myself as an Independent and will vote the candidate I feel bests represents my views, however I am starting to get very concerned with GMB. First we have the certificate fiasco and now this. I think it's critical that we now for sure what the man's health status is. Remember the main attraction of GMB is that HE will fight corruption. Yes HIM, not Tinubu, not Amechi, not Oyegun, no Buhari. If the man gets into office and becomes another Yar'dua, always on the hospital bed, then what happens to the anti-corruption fight. We could end up with a situation where a novice VP becomes president and in the background Tinubu and co are running the show, is that the CHANGE we want? |
Can I ask both GMB and GEJ and those who support neither man, to take a few moments and ponder. Just think about this fact. In the Army today an NDA graduate is a Lt(I think 2nd Lt). Please how could a WASC holder even become an officer let alone a Head of State. Remove Buhari from the equation for one moment, just think how many other 'Generals' We have had in the last 30 years who did not have any qualifications beyond School Cert. Think of how many important/Strategic positions these people have held. Is it any wonder the country is in such a mess. Now extend that to the civil service, agencies of govt etc. My people no country can advance it non-qualified people are allowed to pilot it's affairs, no matter how good intentioned they may be. We are in the information/Knowledge era, we need to promote and encourage excellence in our leaders. Vote wisely, vote for progress. |
theV0ice:It is clear that just from his pension Buhari can pay these fees. It is also clear that from the same pension he could have purchased the Nomination form so why all the act of 'Look at me I am so poor I had to back the bank for loan'. This is what puts some people of GMB. He tries to portray himself as the most pious man around. He IS NOT a poor man, not by any means, so he should stop pretending he is. He still has my vote sha! |
O boy na strong man go carry go Buhari house say e wan marry this babe. Strong guy: Good Afternoon Sir GMB: Good Afternoon can I help you Strong guy: Ive come to introduce myself sir, I am you daughter's boyfriend. GMB: Boyfriend? Strong guy: Yes sir and I want to Marry her. GMB: I see, please wait there. (GMB Shouts) 'Haruna, Haruna please bring my service revolver and a pack of bullets ![]() |
So this is the CHANGE you are all waiting for abi? A man who was Head of state 30 years ago, visiting a man who was first Head of state 36 years ago. I truly pity the ignorant and block headed youth of this country. As long as you remain blind the older generation will continue to feed fat on what should be yours by right. |
Ok, I promise to read all GMB's tweets and facebook updates if that'll bring out his certificate ![]() |
Maybe if he shows them his certificates they will allow him. ![]() |

What do you expect from a Kanu drinking Semi-illiterate.? |
This is a really cheap shot from Lai, and it does not help Buhari at all. The issue here is quite simple. Buhari has said he's certificates are with the Army. Ok it is now for ACP and Buhari to request the Army release either the original or copies of those certificates. Simple. Anything else really lowers Buhari's credibility among the undecided/floating voters. |
What do you expect from a semi literate solider. Unlike many here who shout 'Sai Buhari' I was actually around during his reign and he did nothing of any substance. No vision for the country nothing. Just soldiers flogging people like animals. Is that what he wants to come back and do in 2015? Here is a man who refused to attend the oputa panel, what arrogance, yet he has the nerve to want to gain from the very democratic system that he truncated. He can contest 4 or 40 times the outcome will be the same. |
