History is repeating itself. This was exactly how the Boko Haram insurgency started. |
MurderEnglish:There is the star system which is one of the major reasons why developed countries are where they are today. But in Africa, selfishness has beclouded your sense of judgement. This is reflected in your political leaders as well who embezzle funds for their generations to come. You don't have to be elected to a position to make an impact. This issue is not even an issue to many foreign footballers who mostly always give their match bonuses away as contribution to grassroot football. How many of our footballers grow the youth. They take money here and invest a large chunk of it abroad. In South Africa, every wealthy person in his community puts in community services whether through finance or work. It is only in Nigeria that you will find a wealthy man whose house can be reached through an untarred road and who would be waiting for government to repair the road for him. |

I have never heard of a country where murder is among crimes that can be pardoned. It is very obvious that justice was monetarily influenced in her favor. Na the person wey die lose las las. What a pity!!! |
Sterope:Exactly!! |
Inspectorsuga22:When citizens don't trust the judiciary, they go for media trial. Nevertheless, Busola was confirmed to have filed a complaint against Fatoyinbo but some forces are trying to move a Lagos-based case to Abuja. Issues like this is the reason why less powerful people do their own case on social media. |
veeceesynergy:What type of police comes in a plain bus to deliver an invitation in a country fraught with insecurity? What type of police sends armed men to deliver an invitation? Have you ever been a battle with an influential man in Nigeria before? If the likes of Bola Ige can be murdered right in his house, why should Timi not be wary of strange men? There is a saying If you see something, say something In developed countries with less corrupt police force, the citizens are taught to say something as soon as they see something. Try and be walking up and down in front of a person's house in the USA and before you know it, the owner of the house would have called the police. It is the same message being spread in turbulent Northern states like Borno. If you notice any strange movement, say something. Security is a collective effort. |
theGrayOne:Why should all the men in the North be arrested? |
respect80:That is calibration error. It can happen to the battery of any android phone. What you should have done is perform a full discharge and recharge (one charge cycle) to calibrate the battery. |
theGrayOne:Being rich is not an office. So, your rich man analogy does not work here. However, a wealthy bank manager can abuse his position/office when he sleeps with a minor or covertly demand sex for promotion from his employee. It is for this reason that a doctor cannot sleep with his patient. If Biodun slept with Busola while she was younger than 18, then he slept with a minor. Even if it was Busola that seduced him, it is still statutory rape. A minor cannot give consent. |
I strongly believe that Kemi is being used. Initially, she seemed to be gravitating toward the Dakolos. Her initial investigation was supposed to have the effect to crumble 3 notable Christian denominations. But then, Aunty Kemi changed mouth. Perhaps, the Dakolos would not give her any funds and the other party was more than willing. I have nothing against her, though. She was extremely broke prior to the break of the Dakolo-Fatoyinbo saga. Obviously, no one helped. It is quite understandable why she would use her art for money's sake. No one is a saint, after all. We are all hustlers in one way or the other. |
The punishment of the wicked is never asleep. All those miscreants in uniform will get it one day. |
theGrayOne:The issue is not whether he forced himself on her. The issue is whether he raped her. Biodun is not answering the question of whether he raped her. You can rape someone without forcing yourself on her. Statutory rape falls under this category of rape. A professor can rape his student without forcing himself on her as abuse of authority to have sex under forced consent is also rape. Biodun may be right that he has never forced himself on any woman before. However, it doesn't mean that he has never raped anyone before. |
loosecanon50:The Buhari administration has recognized and honored him since July last year (July, 2018). |
ednut1:How could he have known the attackers when they were not from his own village? As for not burning down the mosque, the imam had to lie to the attackers that everyone in his mosque were Muslims. |
Johnnyessence:You mean best dancer? ![]() Compare Oyetola's CV outside politics with that of Adeleke and come back and modify your post. We are not even talking about academic qualifications, but years of experience working in a leadership capacity. |
Johnnyessence:He will beat Oyetola only in a dancing contest. |
Johnnyessence:Only in Nigeria. In sane clime, Adeleke will be better off in a circus. |
That is approximately 51 million naira per month. 12.5 million naira per week. Uncle E (wherever you are), just know that I am still yet to forget how you convinced my mother against sending me to Pepsi Academy that year. |
kodded:The thing just tire me o. |
Johnnyessence:Beating someone hands down in an election in Nigeria means nothing. We all know that majority of Nigerians vote based on sentiments. In a sane clime, Oyetola will beat him hands down as both men are not on the same level. |
Many Nigerians are getting degrees through backdoors from these universities situated in Benin Republic. There is one guy I know who spent one year and was out with a degree. He tried explaining how he had spent some years in a private university in Nigeria and how he had had to continue in Benin but the whole thing sounded dodgy. I call on the NYSC to modify this issue ASAP. |
It is a shame. A technocrat like Oyetola had to contest Osun top seat with a court jester and dancer. Tufiakwa!!! |
I don't watch the useless show. I don't know the moprah and the Ella or the one that has the mouth and body odor, but I am left wondering at the reason for the exposé? What was the need to shade the Tacha? Is this also a part of the game? |
Akpeyi should have been able to keep that ball out. Anyway, it is too late to cry over split milk. |
DrChukzy:Says who? Wasn't it the same Davido that sexually harassed a woman in an African country thinking that she would smile it off? He has no respect for women and is very well capable of anything. |
Well, I had decided to be indifferent in this matter about Rohr continuing or not. Since they want him to continue, all fine. But he needs to get a set of good goalkeepers. That should be his topmost priority. Then, he needs to build a team. A set of strong A, B, C, and D teams. Our C and D teams should be able to conveniently beat teams like Madagascar, Tanzania, Namibia, and Zimbabwe. I can't remember the last time we were ranked best team in Africa. |
eni4real:What does it profit anyone to snap a picture with a beautiful girl? |
King44:Perhaps, the people have to stop being sentimental too. Tribal and religious sentiments, especially, are still major issues in Nigeria. Before 2015, PDP rode on this issue in an attempt to cover a lot of ground. The islamization propaganda, especially, was used by PDP to demonize APC even before Buhari became president. The former CAN president also used the gullibility of many Nigerians to return to the country to 1960. PDP became a Christian party with its interest vested in CAN while APC became a Muslim party. Not even when APC presented a pastor as a running mate to the Muslim Buhari did the propaganda die down. In sane climes, such propaganda would not even fly. But in an overly religious country like Nigeria, everything is possible. |
King44:Yes, we should hold them responsible. But how can we if we are blinded with hate? It is one thing to hate somebody, it is another thing to hate something about somebody. How can someone hate Buhari for underperforming but had and still has no grudges against our past leaders who underperformed? To criticise, you must be sincere. Your criticism must have a basis. If hate is the basis, then at the back of your mind, you won't even want the person you are criticising to succeed. |
lilfreezy:Witty and hilarious at the same time ![]() |
