@ poster, I honestly don't get your point. I do want to ask you a question. Are you a sincere Nigerian? Do you know that many Nigerians (as I write this) are hungry and without food? Do you know that electrical power supply has deteriorated in many areas in Lagos? Do you know that there are so many graduates without job? If your post is to clamour for attention and post your topic on front page, I think you are not a sincere Nigerian. True there are certain areas Jonathan has done well. However, they are in small quantities compared to his promises per-election period. Be a sincere Nigerian please.

ifemiide: Why are we shying away from the truth ?. His story is truly pathetic, but there are other ways for a student to raise fund for his education without commiting crime. I pray that God should help him o.
God cannot help a criminal. If he had kidnapped you or your relatives or probably kill them in the act. A criminal seeking community pity. He belongs in jail.

dahonestboss: I guess you lack common sense. and I ask again, what is your job if the man sole responsibility is to take care of your big ass while you sit at home? wont you be tired of being idle? And the same bible you quoted says '' and idle worker is a devil workshop? grow up please
Sorry dude I am guy. Not out of pride, but plain humility, I thank God that I am doing so well. However, I will never allow my wife or family struggle. It is a taboo where I am from. If you are of the opinion that your wife must surrender her income so that you can feed and pay bills, that is your issue. However, don't complain when she begins to insult you that you are not man enough. Also, can we allow these ladies share their emotions and experience with us so that we can understand them better. Hijacking a thread is disrespectful.

dahonestboss: There is nothing like support, infact she and her husband should take care of the family, its their job. and if suporting the family is not her job as stated by you, then what is her job?
My friend get that lazy attitude out of your head. I don't read my bible very well, but I know a man must provide for his household. God did not say it is joint effort. A woman is a homemaker not a home provider.
Romance › Re: A Thread for Single Ladies :) by Boss13: 6:56pm On Feb 02, 2013
dahonestboss: so it is only the man that is now responsible of taking care of the family now? na wa for this kind of thinking. Many Nigerian graduates dont even earn up to 100k per month, should he go and steal? this is one thing I hate about the Nigerian marriage attitude. all the financial responsibilty is being pushed to the man alone. and the woman sit at home as a full time jobless house wife. na wa
Well a woman can support the family but it is not her job. A man must take care of his family. That is his job.

My friend get that lazy attitude out of your head. I don't read my bible very well, but I know a man must provide for his household. God did not say it is joint effort. A woman is a homemaker not a home provider.

chikeorji123: Hi Boss13!
Well any way u put it..but what l mean is a man that's not too flashy, who's income are not large enough to accomodate a partner but have a feeling to settle down!..Once a lady see such men grab him and assure him no matter what..both of u can manage untill God open ur remembrance book..!But u see these readymade guys? honestly my dear just go and ask their women and see what they are passing through.. My point is it's good to have someone u can contend with..(personal observation).
Chike a man whose income cannot accommodate a partner should not be thinking of having a partner. Let me give you a breakdown. A man with low income of say 100k per month, adds a wife to himself - split that into half because 2 people now depends on 100k per month. Within a year, a baby enters the equation; share that equally (N33,333 per head per month). Do you know what that would result into (I don't want to say). The man should be working on increasing his networth and not reducing it by adding a woman into his life.

Mad Lion: It's either u r stuupid or u were born wit it, if u r in a relationship ders nuttin wrong buying stuffs for ur girl. Most girl used dat as a yardstick to predict how a relationship wit sum1 go witout luking at pertinent issues like if da guy rili luvs me, if he is faithful or not. Tell me u fool won't u prefer to hv a girlfriend u certainly know she luv dan a girl who is rich n u not rili sure whether she luvs u or not. Eeeeeedoit wot meks u don't undastand such a lil note i wrote. grin grin angry cheesy grin grin cheesy
Dude I am sorry ladies leave you because you are not materially up to their standard. True, our ladies are now materialistic but guess what nobody wants to drink garri and hope for a brighter day. A woman is like a flower, treat her nice and she will blossom. So for an ill-cultured man like yourself, who go around insulting people, I will never reduce myself to your class. I will also repeat what I told you previously. Go and get a life and a proper one for that matter. You would be surprised at how your perception would change.

Sorry OP for derailing. Some dude..... Phew

Mad Lion: ABSOLUTELY NONSENSICAL post if men hv changed, it is becuz of how greedy, selfish, materialistc and ungrateful you women are. Da post even shows da kind of woman u r. U said men will shower u wit gifts, yes before it wasn't like dat until u women start taking into consideration cars, money .....etc anytime a guy shld ask u out. Most of u women don't wanna hear nuttin abt da future so you desperately go around looking for men wit dem material stuffs most of u women foolishly tink is da most important tin in a relationship witout even probing deep to find out if da man luvs u or he is in a different relationship becuz u were enjoying dem restaurants he is taking u, da money he is spending on u .....etc and now dat u hv learnt da hard way, u r here trying to act like a teacher. Do u know how many women hv also phucked up men's life in a relationship?
I refuse to agree with this nonsense. Sorry guys I promise not to comment but I cannot take this. If I were a woman, do you think I will go for a broke folk, the e go better kind of man. Please we all want good things. Do not make these women feel guilty for wanting good things like a normal human being deserves. Please oh I am not trying to sound nice but I am getting tired when broke/never do well brothers begin to say stuff like being materialistic and not wanting to build future. When they finish building your future, you go still dump them. Abeg go and get a life. I mean go and get a life.

carmelion: I will not only advise them to abstain,I would also advise you to work on your self.Even though we re of different gender, its all about discipline.I tot I couldn't last a month without Sex but am happy to tell you that next month would make it my one year of secondary celibacy.winkYou can do it too,its a thing of the mind.
Kai that discipline is what I don't want to be involved with. It's like telling me to fast and pray (over what). There is condom, we can practice safe sex but no sex is a no no, makes me move to an more exciting person. I dumped 2 virgins because of it. It's a relationship (give and take).

Charliemorgano: To be single @ 30+ for ladies, guys should learn to support and encourage them not using hurting words ... A typical instance..i went to collect a document for my boss in ikoyi..on getting there the lady who should have given me the parcel went for lunch and locked it in her locker...One of the guys was very angry about that action that he had to confront her,an argument ensued and the guy told her that is this her bad attitude that has chased men away from her..She broke into tears...i felt bad
You have called the attention of the guy. I have learnt from experience that words hurt women so bad. That's after I lost a gf that meant a lot.

Caracta: But we can't accept them all...
@ caracta please re-read the bolded part again. True you can't accept all, but you accept. That limits chances of being happy. Sincerely, women are awesome beings. I cannot just see a complete stranger talking to me and telling sweet things and then I accept him into my life. The risk is just enormous. Even at that, I believe women ought to be happy, to be treated nicely. Please keep this thread going, might probably change some hard-hearted women to turn a new leaf. Some guys ain't bad, they have taken crap from women who have also been through hell from men. (Vicious cycle)
Romance › Re: A Thread for Single Ladies :) by Boss13: 1:22pm On Feb 02, 2013
Honestly I wanted to critize this thread. Well I must admit it is a nice thread. Might help guys understand women and how to treat them. We need more good women in our society. We know women are builders of societies. They are the gate keepers. However, I just want to correct something. Women don't find men, they accept men. Well done to the poster.

shadrach77: some people will never learn. An unknown entity suddenly gains fame and begins to see himself as a demi-god. 9ice made the same mistake when he foolishly parted ways with Toni Paye and id cabassa and now he is strugggling to remain relevant. I see this as the beginning of the end for Wizkid as i don't see him making any headway in the industry without Banky W. Ogbonaikenna: thank you. Just sit and watch. We IGBO MUST BE TRIBALITIC WHEN IT COMES TO NIGERIA POLITICS. Whether Gej is performing or not we will always support him cos that's what the yorubas and hausas will do to their son. That's how nigeria works. Remember that nigeria is not a nation but a fraud. TRIBALISM PAYS IN NIGERIA. Its the only means of survival.
Jonathan is not an Igbo man. He is from Bayelsa. I pity my country. We may never progress or move forward. Policies will never favour anybody but if you look at it from a tribalistic view, then what will be the remains of Nigeria.
