You are certainly right. He is trying to exploit the opportunities that abound within the religious industry. In all honesty, it is a very lucrative industry with minimal expense, but huge cash revenue. Hence the profit is above normal. I also won’t be surprised if he begins to act like the same people he criticizes. Absolute power corrupts. For now, I’m enjoying his teachings, but as soon as he gets corrupts, I move on.

I think the young man is now more focus on the public interest in his relationship than focusing on his relationship. If he truly loves that lady, he should keep things privately else the pressure would be too much on both of them that they may begin to put up public appearances just to act right rather than invest their time within themselves.

Don’t get the public involve in your private matter.

A plausible one here! However, methinks that it's gonna be very difficult for any Nigerian in Canada to be viewed in unsavory goggles. From my observation, it's obvious that anyone with an 'hustler' bias will do these stuffs more. Add to that those who have nothing to loose.

If the current trend of middle class Nigerians migrating on PR and Education continues, we might soon wish the madness of being discriminated upon bye-bye. You must be capable and honorable as a Nigerian to legally migrate to Canada these days and that can always increase one's self-worth. A man with a very healthy dose of self-worth tends to honor himself and all around him which in turn help project the image of his/her community.

I'm so sure that it's the Black Refugees that are creating this crazy impression and they're mostly in Quebec and some parts of Ontario. They're the ones that crossed the borders from US. They've got nothing to loose and that's why we need to castigate them severely.
Good valid point. I remember my conversation with someone who made a statement that Nigeria is not a safe place just because I told her I’m Nigerian and I really do not blame her because the refugees claim Nigeria is in turmoils because they want legal stay. I laughed within me when I told her that the issue is very remote within a small part of the country. She seemed shocked. Of course she should be because right there in her office, two of her colleagues are Nigerian and I guess they may not have told her the truth either.

The huge influx of Nigerians coming through the US/Canadian border maybe a stigma to the Nigerian community. There is already a negative publication on this and before you know it the populace start being biased towards you. Let’s not forget our countrymen who are involved with identity fraud theft. These circumstances make people form their opinion and sub-consciously begin to react towards a particular set of people. Nevertheless, it is still wrong to be biased just because some crop of people are bad doesn’t mean all the people are bad.

I am usually on high alert when it comes to issues of subtle racism. I had also won a huge payout in a discrimination complaint that I had lodged with the Ontario Human Right commission in the past.

But seriously bro, I got some issue with your case.
Him asking you "Can I help you" instead of "what can I get for you" could have just been a poor choice of words.

It seems to me that you are extremely sensitive but I don't blame you. We may need people like you to eradicate everyday racism
I’m going to bring it to his attention if I visit next time and I will give him the washing of his life in a subtle way. He stood in front of me on the aisle like he was trying to prevent me from moving and I gave him a stern look and told him I want to eat and where can I sit. When I sat down. I beckoned on him with my finger to come serve me (Nollywood style). The useless man told me one of the waitresses would attend to me. It seemed like he is either the manager or he owned the place. Whichever it is, I will address him properly, so he would feel embarrassed that a black man is whooping his ass with superior English diction because of his ridiculous biased attitude. I think Blacks don’t need to scream. Hold your peace, smile and slap their ignorance with knowledge.

he's not Nigerian.

but what was wrong with him asking if he could help you? where in 'sauga is this?
Meadowvale town Centre. The restaurant name is Symposium. Very wrong to ask if he could help me. How about what can I get for you. It’s a restaurant for Pete sake and I was there to either eat or drink. It wasn’t my first time there, but my first time to encounter him. I expressed myself to the Jamaican waitress and he was fortunate because I was on a call to Nigeria when he spat those useless words to me. He later became friendly when my order came. I later listen to his conversation with other customers m, especially white and I heard him say “what can I offer you”. Well the way I replied him like i almost wanted to push him away. How can he ask me if he could help me - did I look like I can’t feed myself again?

They say Canadians are polite but that’s nonsense. Some of them have this innate biased view against blacks. Even today, I went to Canadian Art Wholesalers and I wanted to get some art paintings and I meet the owner, I believe so who later told me he was Polish, another racist country. He was polite to me, I must confess and told me to look around. I was browsing the gallery and I noticed a white old man creeping on me suspiciously and I looked at him with a bloody shot and he asked if he could assist. Turned out he was the shop assistance or whoever he is. The bloody white man even duped me. I bought two paintings - one for $486 and another for $300. I told this man to do the second one for $200 and he said if I’m serious and I said I’m serious let’s shake hands. Can you imagine that this bloody white man looked at my hand and didn’t flinched. I smiled and in my mind - what a fool you are! Only for him to write $300 and pretended like he didn’t hear me properly. He asked how I got to know about them and I said online and he said everyone goes online now and nobody does yellow pages - Yellowpages in this recent time, no wonder you are so biased and possibly uneducated. What is wrong with some people sometimeshuh?

That was how one Asian man asked me today at a restaurant in Mississauga if he could help me. The way I squeeze my face answer am, he quickly respected himself. I was highly disappointed because I visit the restaurant frequently despite the fact they gave me rice without seasoning and salmon to eat the last time. He was very fortunate that I was in good spirit else I would have raised my voice against his discrimination. Nonsense!

Obasanjo is as useless as Buhari.
Obasanjo’s interest was only to ensure that bad leadership does not repeat itself. Buhari had lots of goodwill and that’s why he became president. However, we can all see that his administration is useless and if not more useless than the one he took over.

FYI, Obasanjo still remains the best president Nigerian has ever had. Not my opinion, but there are statistical evidence to prove it.

There's no such thing.

There's only conmen and fraudsters who've succeeded in brainwashing you people into docile money machines.

If they can heal the sick, why do Christians still go to hospitals?

If they can raise the dead why do millions die and never come back, including their family members?

If they talk to god and he tells them who'd win elections and such, why won't the same god tell them when their buildings are going to collapse?

Why can't they ask their god to do something about the supposed herdsmen killing christians? Doesn't god chat with them? Aren't they his "men"?

Family › Re: My Marriage Is Being Tested. I Need Your Advice by Boss13: 3:24am On Apr 18, 2018
Texrec:
Good evening Friends, please I need your urgent advice and on how to manage this complicated situation.

I do supply of diesel and other products to a company here in Port Harcourt. They always paid within one or two weeks. After my mother's burial last year ,I didn't have enough cash to execute the supply they gave me because i sponsored the burial as the first son. So I borrowed some cash from a friend.

That was the beginning of my wahala. The company's manager and some workers defrauded the owner that hardly lives in Nigeria. So my payment was delayed and I explained everything to my friend. That I even invested all my little savings to that supply and that I'm even finding it difficult to feed my family.

Around February this year I went to Cross River state to buy chippings for someone and I spent about two days there because of truck problems. So my phone battery was down and even my wife was not able to reach me. To my greatest surprise, this my friend went to my church and I told my pastor that defrauded him. That I have even packed out of my house and switched off my phone. Meanwhile he knows my place and he didn't even bother to go and ask my wife where I went to since my number wasn't going through. When the pastor told me things he said, I couldn't believe it (infact I was shocked). I called my friend and he initially denied meeting my pastor.

The pastor scheduled a meeting for us to meet and sort things out but the guy refused to show up. I have tried to sell my own share of my inheritance to pay him his money but I have not been able to see a serious buyer due to the location of the property.

The problem is that this guy is calling everybody that I know and even going to Facebook to contact my friends that I defrauded him. I have asked him to give me time but he said I must come to somewhere outside port Harcourt town with my wife before he will negotiate anything with me. I cannot allow anybody to ridicule my marriage because of debt. I told him I won't involve my wife in that kind of arrangement. He calls me every morning and night and sometimes i just feel like ignoring his calls because i know it's same talk everytime. The company is currently not operating but the chairman has agreed to pay me soon. How do I handle this mess because this guy is ruining my reputation and it's tearing my marriage apart. If you have experienced this before, please I need your advice urgently because I'm going insane.
Report him to the police for harassment. This is bullshit. Let the police intermediate the issue and then write an undertaken when you intend to pay him. The police will take 10% of the money after you paid. That way you punish him for trying to damage your reputation.

Nigeria, a country with no implementation of laws. Those guys should be arrested and charged for driving under the influence, risk of public safety and destruction of public property. They should also serve jail time and the license withdrawn from them for a maximum period of 5 years. This is the only way others would learn.

"I Am still in love with my ex but I am married to a stranger

I wish to seek advice from nairalanders. I will accept insults. I just got married 2 months ago.

Let me start by saying I dated my ex for 4 years. We loved ourselves but you know as the year went by, my ex started showing some attitudes like hiding his phone when sleeping. Also his parents came up that we can't marry, simply becauss I am not same state with him.

While all this played out, this friend of mine connected me to a guy whom came back from abroad to marry. I saw the guy but didn't like him but before we met. I already informed my parents about this guy from abroad who likes me a lot. Without seeking for my approval. My parents got carried away and insisted that it's him they want, not my ex anymore. Out of fustration and pressure I married this new guy but I feel no love for him. My ex also wants me back and I want same because I love him.

I plan to divorce my husband because I can't stand that he Will be my husband for life. I don't love him.

Please advise me."
Your ex-boyfriend does not love you else he would have married you against all odds. Family may initially be resistant, but they would finally come around.

Your ex-boyfriend is suffering from “Lose Aversion”. It’s a psychological behaviour that affects many individual. We tend to feel more pain when we lose something, than when we gain something. So he is actually feeling the pain of losing you that he wants you back and when you make the mistake of returning, the excitement is gone and he continues in his old ways.

You are a married woman now - focus on your marriage. You should be glad you have a man that loves you and want to take care of you. Many woman are looking for such love even in the western world.

LordKO:
@OP

You need to realize that dreams aren't deducible to waking life experiences - visions are, and yours aren't visions. A death dream for instance has much to do with symbolic end to an affair like a relationship, business opportunity etc.

As for the behavioural vices of your wife, if you can't live with someone with such attributes, kindly do the needful. It's obvious and quite unfortunate that you didn't achieve self-realization before contracting the marriage with her. Even at this moment, you're yet to achieve self-realization - connotation of your message says so.
Beautifully said. I hope the OP adhere to this sound advice. The marriage is a sham and a fraud, if the story is true. The wife lied about her age, educational qualification and that she was pregnant in order to get married.

Is this recent? I thought Adeboye said this a long time ago. Regardless, he doesn’t have the right or privilege to know who will go to hell or heaven. Does he even know if there is space for him in heaven? Forget all those - “God told me” as I have found that people mistake and confuse their inner thinking to be the voice of God.

The Creator has always been consistent. It is Man that has polluted the ways of the Creator.

I wouldn't jump to conclusion since did not hear the whole story.. A whole lot of things can be considered as sexual harassment..he might simply be asking the lady for a date or flirting with her and she claims sexual harassment..
Fair point - noticed how she used the word - much older colleague. Some women, especially the Me Too campaign has made sexual harassment a loose term. If a woman is interested in you, it’s flirting and if she is not, it’s sexual harassment.

Companies must review their policy on Office Romance, which occurs virtually in many organizations. Whilst, it’s a shame she lost her job, she should try to understand office politics and dynamics. That colleague may be a top performer in the company and the company do not intend to lose him.

The least the company should have done was to investigate the issue.

That marriage is over. Any reunion will be based on pretense or ulterior motives and tend not to end well especially for young couples. The wife has moved on but OP is still reminiscing of old times. Once another lady enters his life and fills the void, he will be doing thanksgiving in a church for being liberated from the machinations of the ex-wife and her family.
/
This is a valid point because 4 months of no communication is a long time. That is 120 days of both parties neglecting each other. However, there is no harm in trying to reconcile since one party is interested.

OP - don’t call or SMS your wife. I have read many suggestions on this here. This is not a matter of phone call or SMS, you lost using such medium after not trying for 4 months. Setup a meeting using a mutual friend as I have said previously. That mutual friend will help you know whether your wife is interested in reconciliation or not.

If she is interested, you would have to woo your wife all over again. This time it will be more expensive in terms of finance and time, but it’s the sacrifice you must make if you truly want reconciliation.

Let’s be honest, your wife may have moved on and possible active in the dating game. You may also have to consider this and since there is are kids involved, it also makes your chances of reconciliation slim.
