Obierika:Because the article needed a headline and they got the one that would attract people faster. You go school at all sef? No let me wound you there. |
Queenyprinxex:Such an unreasonable comment from a female youth, that is if you are truly a female. Unfortunately you are so childish that you do not have an idea about the Igbos or Nigeria as a whole. Your comment is extreme and very undeserving to say the least. Do not hide in the shadow of the social media to make jokes out of situations like this that have cost human lives. |
Bitchlover:And what will you say about the youths who have folded their hands and are waiting for power to be handed over to them on a platter of gold? Was Buhari and the presenr crop of old leaders not youths who fought for and got power many years ago? If you want change then you must be the change agent that you truly desire. If Bihari and Fulani people cannot coordinate simple skype calls then wake up and take the leadership bull by the horn. Cheers. |
maasoap:And to you Obasanjo library was a national property converted into a private property? |
What's strange or new about it? The place is a library and if people are not patronizing how can salaries be paid? What is the business of the lying Sahara reporters? Have they been paying salaries too? If they sack staff who will the sacked staff tell? Many companies sacked staff. State governments have owed salaries for months. Obasanjo library is a private organisation and what happens there is their business. Sahara reporters should carry their yeye reports away please. |
IJOBA2:So you believe that the nonsense by the government of Bauchi state is correct? |
tophumble:That's exactly why Nigerians are suffering so much today. People who listened to lies and deceit. People who acted like they were bewitched and are completely blinded by a few people who promised them things that would never be realisable. People who were charmed by fake promises and still fool themselves believing that all is very well while their commonwealth is openly looted and shared by a few who promised to recover looted funds from the past PDP government and return to them. Why would you people never wake up from your drunken dream state and truly examine every word and promise of politicians which they have failed and will always fail to deliver? How many promises made by the APC government at the federal and state level have they delivered on? Look at Kwara state and truthfully ask yourself if something meaningful can be done in that state by the present APC government. Citizens of that state simply went from the stranglehold of the Sarakis into the hands of a cronic lying minister supported clearly by another Saraki family member. All the governor has done so far is try to destroy Saraki influence by carrying out a vendetta against the same Sarakis. Who told you lot that another Saraki family member will not seek governorship position in 2007 under either APC or PDP? Looking at Baba Oloye and the history of his giving food to Kwara people in his house in Bode Thomas in Lagos to his rise to political power in Kwara state in the 70s it seems that Kwarans are easily swayed with rice + beans served to them every morning and gift their votes in favour of the leader who gives them the most. Bukola Saraki apparently could not match his father in that area. Truthfully if Baba Oloye was still alive would Kwarans have voted against his family? Atunwa definitely is in the right position to tell us what's happening there because he is in the system and definitely knows much more than we all know collectively. Kwara state is hardly developing and that is the simple truth. Assuming Atunwa's judgements are too early or outrighly false one can apply common sense by looking at what structures have been put in place by the ruling APC government in the last one year of taking over. Ask yourself sincerely what APC government has put in place in the last one year instead of continously joining the bandwagon of those judging the past PDP governments. When will this country move forward with APC? When will this country arrive the land flowing with milk and honey promised 6 years ago by APC? Are Kwarans getting bewitched again, this time by APC, or getting carried away after receiving some plates of food? It is left to Kwarans to tell themselves the sincere truth about thenselves. |
Two reasons for this victimisation: 1. He is a Nigerian and Nigerians are not trusted worldwide. 2. Racism. He is not French and the French want to keep manipulating Africa through their former colonies. |
SenorFax:Still better than some people who will cut the body parts and either use for money ritual of sacrifice for occult power. |
When you stand on the queue next time to vote shine your eye well. Na lazy youths vote for dim pass. Dem still call una lazy youths after giving you 1000 + bottle of coke. |
Medicine after death. Na today? After the so called investigation and subsequent settlement + plea bargain everything will remain the same and the looter will go back home very happy with the balance given to him. Na story e go take end. Na Naija we dey. Some people forsaw this and kukuma used their hard earned money to buy food and hand over straight to people. Even the food sef they looted. This country if you never loot you never start. Everywhere na looting. Dem take looting swear give Nigeria? |
Rema123:Slap yourself quickly and remind yourself how you are a pure and very proud OLODO. |
efe0:Sure they have something to offer and it is called FOREIGN LOANS! |
lomprico:Don't mind the hypocrites. |
post=90035603:And your professed APC is better than PDP? In 5 years of rulership please show clear eyed people how your APC has improved the country. We know where the God forbid should be directed. Certainly not the PDP. |
Kingrefreshed:APC nko? Oshiomole alone na crisis. Edo, Zamfara, Rivers, Bayelsa how far? Others nko? Embezzlement how far? |
By the way dem take Okada do una for Lagos? When will Lagos grow to become one of the best state capitals in the world? Okada, Marwa, Okada, Marwa abeg na. |
DTaj:You do not know what politics is all about bro. Were you there when his grandfather betrayed the Oba? Na Amebo you do so. Yet he and the present Oba are in total peace. Do you know that in politics they say "no permanent friends, no permanent enemies, but permanent interests"? Oshiomole made Obaseki governor not because of friendship but because of interest. If politics is not about betrayals, denials, lies, deceits, decampments, power, money, interest, selfishness, rancour, greed, murder, physical injuries, struggles, gossips, agreements, then my brother it is not politics. Go and check it the world over. Why does Donald Trump have a regular swipe at Obama? Why does Trump call CNN fake news? It's all centered on all I mentioned above. Oshiomole fought Anenih to a standstill. The reason was control. At his death Oshiomole was there crying, crocodilically though" how Anenih was his father and how all their battles were politically motivated. He too has stepped on toes. A godson is expected to be a carbon copy of his godfather. If the godfather has all the qualities above, then it is expected that his godson must have them. His relationship with Okorocha did not stop him from abandoning Okorocha and Okorocha's stooge at that point. The present governor was not even in the permutation but see how it turned out. Oshiomole's greatest problem is his high handedness which he admitted earlier this year when there was an attempt to remove him by governors and other powerful elements within the APC. The struggle between him and Obaseki must be resource control and party control. It will be a very big shame on Oshiomole if the Rivers and Zamfara events repeat themselves in Edo. Yet if he does not make a move against Obaseki his political future in Edo and national APC will be jeopardized. Oshiomole called Ize Iyamu a criminal and that he should not be trusted with a position, yet he wants to put him on that seat. What changed his opinion so suddenly? Does that not show you that politics is about interests? PDP is right at the corner waiting to Supreme courtically reclaim their state. Oshiomole is already leading APC in that direction. |
ledaman:When did Ize Iyamu become Eze Iyamo? Is he now an Eze? |
BabaOwen:And which of the northern elites would have allowed him? Are they not the ones who decamped and formed APC with the failed promise to restructure? |
apache22b:Na lie you lie. |
Davash222:No Ize-Iyamu did not. Rather Oshiomole is repeating the same mistake that he did with Obaseki in now choosing Ize-Iyamu. Politicians like Ize-Iyamu who move from one political party to another due claming one form of wrong treatment or the other are the most dangerous. Ize-Iyamu is a full blooded PDP man. The danger lies ahead that Odhiomole will not be able to control him if he wins. Surely he will not abandon his political friends in the PDP. Seeing him as the better option is a steategy by Oshiomole to wrest power from Obaseki. Either way it goes Oshiomole will be the loser. If Ize-Iyamu loses also he will get a political position for his effort or enter into a political decline. For me whatever happens Edo state will return to the PDP. |
GiantMelCosta:Who told you that Mr. Been To? |
weblord1900:"Does they think". Come take your time there. Na so the matter vex you reach so tay you come speak English like that. Correct yourself now before I slap your mouth there. |
India is the dirtiest country that I have ever visited. Everywhere there are plenty of flies. Gutters are very black and worse than the gutters in Okokomaiko. Everywhere you go there are uncountable stray dirty dogs. The people hardly take their baths and everywhere you go people are coughing. The cough dry no be small. |
Unfortunately none of the two options is fool proof. Examples abound in the last governorship election where godfathers and godchildren battled. Decisions about who to vote for in the direct primary is not based on who the delegates truly want to vote for. It is based on who the godfather wants to instal and how much is given to party members. The party members are therefore easily influenced by what they get from the ogas above. One other deciding factor is the financial performance of the incumbent governor. If he fails to let the naira flow down to the.smallest party member then he's in trouble. A clear example is Ambode who was called very stingy. The issue here is that with Ize Iyamu back within the APC fold, Obaseki has a bigger battle to face, especially with his erstwhile benefactor, Oshiomole, determined to remove him. With the direct primary Obaseki could be removed. With an indirect primary Obaseki can influence things. |
An order given in 2007 has not been vacated since? Where is the sincerity? Who should we believe? Since it is such a serious matter and some people have so far looted 118 billion why not move to vacate that order? Is that not the way forward first? Should this become a sensational story when sensible things have not been done first? Are the Appeal and Supreme courts no longer there? |
2 - 1? Narrow escape definitely. Shows Y Bello is not made yet. More work to be done by Y Bello. Next to appeal court and finally supreme court where governors are finally made. |
Imagine how policemen without masks go about arresting civilians without masks. How the matter go settle? Social distancing does not even work in their police stations. |
dedons:Oholieb im brother nko? |
Rubbish. Can't we have price control boards and make the boards very effective? With price control do we need to stress ourselves again? |
But one wonders the rationale behind this pension payment to ex govs and speakers. Are they civil servants? Is this the standard practice in other democracies? Are those who worked for 35 years or retired at the age of 65 as civil servants not the ones who ought to receive pension and gratuity? What is the purpose of severance packages? They allocate severance packages to themselves, collect gratuities and then place themselves on pension for life having served for 8 years and less. When will our politicians allow this country have some financial respite? They loot, recover looted funds, label fellow looters as looters and then re loot the already recovered looted funds under one guise or another. The move by Uzodimma/ISHA is good only as long as the proscription is not lifted and payments backdated just before Uzodimma leaves. |
