If anything, Buhari's presidency has revealed two things about Northerners:

1. They suffer from OSTRICH MENTALITY. Through lack of vision and detachment from the ordinary people, Northern political leaders, religious leaders and traditional rulers conspired to neglect their own people for so long, engendered subsistence living and widespread poverty. Religion served as an opium for some. Others went for hard drugs. In the long term, the seeds of both religious fanaticism and economic banditry took roots.

As the consequences of their actions rages, they still refuse to tackle the root causes. The traditional rulers and the elites are busy giving their children best of education and opportunities. The religious leaders are still focused on observance of tenets while not caring about the living conditions of followers. Instead of good policies and programs, political leaders are busy fighting each other, changing political parties to steal more public money for themselves. The common people remain neglected and wallow in subsistence living and poverty.

2. They suffer from inordinate SENSE OF ENTITLEMENT . On assumption of office, Pres. Buhari handed over the security of this country to Northerners. Now, how can your sons be in charge of Army, Airforce, police, DSS, NIA, etc and you still complain. Hold your sons accountable. Hold the state governors responsible for not deploying the security votes to tackle securities. Bandits are not spirits. Young men should step up and join the security men to fight their peers who now enjoy bandit tag.

Where are LOQUACIOUS Arewa Consultative Council and Arewa Youth Consultative Forum when you need them. Listen, dear Northerners, you cannot drink your fura da nono and still have it in the bowl.

Buhari certainly is not weak in my opinion. You all voted for him twice and have always insisted on protecting our democracy. Not speaking does not make him weak. Others have their rights, views and ideas in a democracy. I think he has given room for people to express themselves.

We may not agree with certain government policies, but we must not forget how democracy works.

Trump has been publicly abused by the press and even government officials. He too returned the abuses and yabis and still remains there. That's democracy in play bro.

This has always been the process with APC and elections. Right from 2012 they seemed only organised to take over power from PDP without a clear road map on leadership. Repeatedly APC has shot itself in the foot. They say too many cooks spoil the broth.

The same story has played out in states with APC governors. Those without APC governors witnessed too many in house fighting by APC contestants, court litigations, accusations and counter accusations. They try to drag the president into it by accusing each other of trying to distabilise his government.

I do not understand the manner of Oshiomole's leadership. When he came onboard through the calculations of some governors, there was the thinking that APC had found their messiah. What we have seen in his two years have been unbelievable. In his presence his party has repeated the same mistakes. He immediately had issues with some of the governors that brought him. One cannot but wonder why he could not find solutions to his battles with Obaseki seeing that he is from Edo state. Can one safely say that he did not have the needed skills to manage the people and the party? He seemed to be too highhanded and full of local braggado.

For me I no am no longer in suspence about the outcome of the election in Edo state. It is easy to know what will happen in Edo state at the end. The same thing happened in Delta, Zamfara, Lagos, Rivers, Sokoto, etc, with different groups within the party trying to outdo the other. Now the deputy gov of Ondo state has resigned and decamped to PDP too!

If the center can no longer hold for APC and the different groups find that they can no longer accomodate themselves, it's better for them to split and return to their original parties as the regional parties that they were for effective management.

Obaseki is a small boy in politics.ize iyamu is a senior man,the best in edo.he has been in politics since 1999 at the top level.he is just like wike in rivers.obaseki was made governor by oshio,he has little or no structure.even without federal might,he lost narrowly.he now has it.being a governor means nothing.most edo politicians will prefer pastor to obaseki.even odubu is far ahead of obaseki...

Look at it this way without making it too hard for you to understand. Suspended or sacked as at 7pm two days ago Oshiomole lost hisbparty membership and status. He acknowledged it. As it presently stands his exco is not recognized. While he battles in the courts the politics of the state moves on with the Obaseki faction and whoever emerges their leader.

The contributions of the PDP people cannot be taken away. They already helped APC get power enjoyed by them today.

You do not seem to understand politics. No one is underrated and no one is to be overrated because politics is a game of interest. You can retire your godfather. That's what Oshiomole did and he retired Anenih.

APC now have a run for their money later this year.

If they were truly sacked, how did the Federal high court and Court of Appeal back the sacking of Oshiomole as the national chairman and a member of the APC.

APC were never better than PDP. Do not forget that for APC to become a nationally accepted party, many hugely PDP men joined them and made it work. Take a close look at APC and you'll find that aside from Buhari and Tinubu, the major playing powers in APC are former PDP men.

If APC always thrashed PDP at elections why are some telling us all of federal might/power? Take off security personnel, money and thugs and you'll see how it plays out.
