Ogwashi uku amaka! |
joeking2222:I just like your response. You made me laugh. Have a great weekend Bro. |
SATANIIST:And relooted by them under your watchful eyes! |
Confirmedzombie:Between the so called party stake holders and the electorate who should the governor's responsibility be to? Oshiomole told us he was a technocrat and his job specifications were clearly spelt out. The dirty part of delivering money and positions to the chairman and party people were not informed to the electorate. As a technocrat he does his job of improving his state. Politicians frustrate growth and development. We need professionals in politics and not professional politicians. And do you think that Obaseki/Shuaibu will fold their hands and watch themselves walk into political oblivion? APC will get a run for their money brother. Do not contradict yourself. You talked about Amaechi/Wike. The same scenario plays out here with Oshiomole trying to stop Obaseki. If Oshimole retired Anenih according to him who says Obaseki cannot retire him? |
osothermal:And potentially a sitting and very determined governor. Akume and Akpabio did their worst but were crushed. Obaseki may be a political novice but he learnt on the job. See it is clear that Oshiomole is on the side of party men and not the people. If PDP put their acts together they should win. Oshiomole chased the so called thugs away in his time. How is it now that APC relies on thugs and security people to win elections? What an irony. |
joeking2222:And what will happen if he joins PDP and presents only his school certificate? |
ozento:b A formidable enemy but when confronted by powers bigger than him in the APC this year he capitulated and begged to retain his position as national chairman. As for Edo state APC shot themselves in the foot! |
When Adams Oshiomole presented Obaseki to the people of Edo state as the APC governorship candidate for election of 2016, he said he had no doubt that he was leaving the state in the safe hands of who he called "a technocrat" and a worthy successor to take over leadership from him. Obaseki won the election and not too long after things fell apart between the two of them. They have remained as enemies until today with the disqualification of Obaseki from participating in the 2020 election that would have seen him serve Edo people again. The reason given by the APC screening committee is "certificate discrepancies". Within this period Nigerians have been informed by the Oshiomole group in Edo state that the details contained in the educational certificates of Obaseki are incorrect. Some questions instantly come to mind: 1. Were those certificates not the same presented by Obaseki for the 2016 election? 2. Did the APC screening committee for the 2016 election not do a proper homework before presenting Obaseki as the party candidate? 3. What happened to the confirmation sent by Uniben to APC informing the party that Obaseki graduated from that university? 4. Why did APC fight PDP tooth and nail when this same certificate matter came up after the 2016 election? 5. Did APC plan a boobytrap for Obaseki as a way to protect the national chairman? 6. Considering that Oshiomole had practically labelled Ize Iyamu a thief, has APC in Edo changed their opinion of the man? Will he not be the next candidate? 7. Will the removal of Obaseki not pave the way for PDP to retake Edo state? 8. Will APC under Oshiomole ever be able to put their pre and post election acts together after their unforced errors in Rivers, Delta and Zamfara states? 9. Will Obaseki just sit and watch without working hard to defeat APC in the election this year? 10. Will this screening out not negatively impact the fortunes of APC this year? |
Was it the airlines that closed the airports of the FG? The airlines have lost so much and are waiting to start off. Why this unnecessary lie after what they clearly told all Nigerians? |
Meanwhile plenty of them have hypertension, diabetes, etc and possibly the can spread covid19. Nonsense greedy people. |
HarunaWest:"Don't mention me again"? "Shut the Bleep up"? So uncouth. Clearly shows you are a very young man with plenty of inexperience. Only young people like you use wrong and insulting words in the name of speaking English. Change your ways please. Next to the topic discussed. Did you follow the issue from the day of the incident? Did you read the evidences of some of the soldiers? The soldiers all stated that they knew those they shot were policemen. The policemen on arriving at the village went straight to the police station and identified themselves along with their mission. Unfortunately the DCO was compromised just like the soldiers there. On their successful and peaceful arrest of Wadume, they proceeded to leave. The soldiers knew the bus approaching their checkpoint was carrying Wadume. Do not forget that the captain confessed that he was on Wadume's payroll. He gave the order to kill the policemen. That led to the outcry. What played out at the checkpoint was a script well played out by the foolish DCO who gave away his people and the captain. If the policemen were not carrying their IDs how did they identify themselves and explain their mission to the DCO? When Fsars officials and indeed all policemen are on legitimate assignments, they carry their IDs. If not they have issues. When they are covert, their IDs are used to let people know who they are just incase their cover is exposed. Go and ask any policeman or security agent. You contradicted yourself too. If there is a radio signal regarding their mission, how then is it secret? Think about it. |
The man is showing the culture and traditions of the omoluabis. No need to complain. Only the people from that area can explain. |
Caseless:APC is not the party to beat. They have been given the green light to create confusion if they find they are losing and wait for another day to continue. |
trutht828:All they know how to do is follow wrong comments and abuse people. |
HarunaWest:And you believe the soldiers who are facing accusations of murder, etc? Think properly young man. Police personnel on official assignments as it is well known always carry their IDs. The soldiers are trying to evade justice. It is up to the IG to ensure that there is no cover up. |
cjudy:But Fintiri is correct. It is said that who the God's want to destroy they first make them mad. APC is repeating the Zamfara, Rivers and Delta story in Edo. A high handed chairman who must have his way no matter the loss. PDP will surely retake the stake either through the ballot box or the Supreme Court. They know what to do. So Oshiomole continue battling Obaseki. |
Well let's hope the matter changes. |
oluwamile:Let's remove the log in our own eyes here first. Let the Americans face their matter. Our own here needs more serious attention. Cheers. |
Chaiiiii we don suffer. How did we get to this point? Even the script would have been written for him. He would have ironed his agbada very well and starched it and prepared to speak one kind English. They said the land belongs to them. Coke and panta! Na wah. |
Chaiiiii. Make we dey laugh dey go joh! We already know what and what and what. The story usually starts with factionalisation. Oshiomole backs one faction. Then there is the authentic chairman, secretariat, etc. INEC recognises the wrong faction. They faction(ally) get ready for two primaries. They go to court to clear which faction should be recognised by INEC. They scrutinize certificates and create faults. Finally they go to election. Ojoro(nically) win the election and get sworn in. Then they wait for the second half of the game i.e courts. The courts make their pronouncements. Finally PDP claims the state back. They start to blame each other and plan Oshiomole's removal for highhandedness. Examples are found in Delta state, Zamfara state, Rivers state and Bayelsa state. PDP is surely waiting at the corner and they will take back their state. |
Thecvbankng:Building fantastic school buildings is not what really troubles me. What troubles me is that the people will not go to school. The people just want to wake up, file to the front house of one alhaji shouting rankadede sir for their food. The big alhajis too enjoy exploiting them for money. |
Binikingdowm:The matter pain you too much. Prostitution keh? There is only one headquarter in Nigeria. It is known worldwide...Benin. Infact the infection spread to the whole Edo state. Criminal nature to the world. Na una na. Prostitution, drug to the whole of Africa and Europe. Edo will not celebrate bridges now bros. They have spiritual bridges in their homes. Baby factories? Many discovered in the entire Edo state. Children born from prostitution. Hopefully Igbo matter will not make you injure yourself. Onitsha and Nnewi are far more industrialised than the whole of Edo state. You can check that fact. Enjoy yasef. |
So tay Niger state sef. Chai, we don suffer. Please which natural resources can one find there? A state with just one long road traversing the entire capital Minna. |
SirMichael1:So after taking out the skin to make shoes what happens to the rest? Will they be used to decorate the house? No let me take vex come your house to give you military slap. |
mrvitalis:Very catastrophic statement from an Igbo man. It is a shame that the Igbos have such people who continously publicly ridicle them and keep them at the mercy of their oppressors. If that bridge is the biggest federal project from the APC government in 5 years of leadership then where is the hope of the Igbos? In Lagos where Igbokwe holds a role in the waste management industry the Igbos suffer. Just go to Alaba market and see the state of the roads there. The local government generates billions from the Igbos there, yet the roads around there are in disgraceful states. Rubbish. |
Binikingdowm:Yes but also do not forget how the resources are managed. The states with the biggest resources are badly managed by those in charge. That's why our federal structure must be truly addressed. OBJ for example clamoured for allocations to the local governments to be paid directly into their accounts, but the governors have continously rejected that. See if that ever happens and resources are well managed development can get faster. |
donnie:Asaba just two roads? Sorry for you. |
Dartilo:The allocation for Delta state is bigger than the allocation for Edo state. |
Chekwume16:"Glorified capital". That means your town or village in Delta state is a tiny hamlet with plenty of huts. Tell us which town in Delta state aside from Warri that is as developed or getting speedy development than Asaba. Even neighbouring towns are fast developing because Asaba is the state capital. As a state capital there is a huge concentration of developmental projects going on there. It will remain like that even after the Igbo speaking governor leaves. |
Igwe35:See I think OP made a very unrealistic and needless comparison between Asaba and Benin. As you mentioned, I agree with you that OP must be a Benin man. Let's ask first when the two cities became state capitals and which one deserves to be better developed. Benin was the state capital of the midwest and old Bendel state which covered Asaba as a village until Edo was created out of Bendel state and Asaba made the state capital of the newly formed Delta state, not more than 30 years ago. Benin is a very historic city and it was not surprising that it became a state capital immediately at independence just like Lagos state. For me if OP needs to make a comparison it should be between Benin as capital of Edo state and Ikeja, the capital of Lagos state. Of course Ikeja is more developed than Benin. Asaba is a growing state capital. If not for the wickedness of the past governors since the days of Kefas, Asaba should have been much more developed than it is. The same goes for the foolish underdevelopment of Benin by past military governments and politicians. It is however refreshing to note that OP compares two cities and states with very rich culture and great traditional values. Benin has a huge influence, as I call it, on the traditional institutions of a lot of towns in Edo and Delta states. |
"Monkey dey work, baboon dey chop". That is what has lately become the end of all the APC attempts to win elections. Rivers, Zamfara, Bayelsa states are there to see. They never learn. After all the stress, wahala, money spending, political ojoros, APC leaves gapping holes that PDP exploits to get those positions. PDP apparently has more political suave people than APC. I strongly believe that after all their efforts, PDP will recover their lost state. |
