But how does our own worship centres come in? I dont think that is necessary. There are thousands of churches today. So tell me, how are you supposed to know where and how to 'attack' me if you have never even heard of the name of my church let alone knowing what we teach? Would that add any feather to your cap? While we are not saying you should leave Catholicism physically, we are saying yuo should avoid the doctrines that are not scripture-based. Was Jesus Rich? Lets look at the clear biblical evidence. Jesus was born in a stable

(his parents knew the approximate time of his birth so they could have reserved a place, God could have made sure he had a room)

but it was to be in a stable, a cave.

Jesus gave up all the riches that are his in heaven to become a man and was born to a poor family (not homeless and destitute), his stepfather was carpenter, if they had money from the gold given at his birth (as some claim) he would not of had to work. The Bible does not mention his riches but many teach this from silence.

There may not be bible verses to clearly substantiate that posture of the wealth of Jesus really and that leaves room to controversies when trying to prove otherwise as in this case. For an advocate of the physically rich Jesus, i would ask them this question: "What is the meaning of the scripture which says "For our sakes He bcame poor so that we (His children) through His poverty can become rich?". I might likely ask, what was the major reason Jesus had to miraculously source funds to pay the government what was theirs when His team was accosted by government officials? Could He have simply instructed Judas or his deputy to give from the treasury?

These are just food for thought.

capital is the nam of the game. Like one poster said, to finance serious projcts like 4th Mainland bridge, oil & gas, telecommunications, infrastructure and even serious housing projects, you need long temr capital that offers can offer. Capital is the name of the game. Nigierians like this 'ownership' thing and are not readilty willing to sellout else we would have seen willing mergers and acqusitions so that Nigerian banks can compare with their foreign counterparts at the current disheartening exchange rate.

Note that as the Exchange Rate improves, the worth of most of these local banks will improve as well. More importantly, to avoid being sidelined, you need to keep on sourcing for mor funds either through debt or equity and keep plawing back profit into reserves all in a bid to remain relevant and active.

Do not forget that there will always be very huge demands for funds usage by the economy such that will guaranty good return on investments. So, banks stocks are good buys at least in the medium term as the economy is just kick-starting.

So, there is so much room still.
