FoodRe: How Nigerians Should Eat Swallows By Zeelicious Foods (Video) by chrisj2(m): 7:19pm On Nov 23, 2023
Once cutleries were invented, there is no need to eat swallow with your hand/fingers: no need to reinvent the wheel... Some culture eat rice and almost everything with the fingers but we dont in Nigeria. How many people eat beans with their fingers?

Access to clean water when eating away from home can be hard. Eating at events where people are all dipping into same water - yuk?

So don't give me culture or borrowed culture from abroad; we develop and move on and the world is a melting pot

Nobody has said anything definitely about the woman not being happy... She gets her own place on what? Are you serious?

The woman is an illegal immigrant who is working against the rules. She will get her own place - on part time cleaning job?

She is just being selfish and causing problems for the daughter.

And as a Pastor's wife - it is out of order!

Some women will rather give money to Pastors or family members that did very little for them than to give to their husband or to think about the future with the husband.

Some always think the men will later leave them and spend his money on another woman or sets of children but this is a fulfilling prophesy and action!

Collect first payment after 5 years of the man paying for absolutely everything - the first thing is to start spending on her own family, my mum this and that... And Pastor!

Foreign AffairsRe: Why Should Trade Between African Countries Be In Dollars - Ruto by chrisj2(m): 4:58pm On Jun 14, 2023
You want to pay for your family UK visa using a UK bank card to the UK Immigration service; but they will not let you pay in Pound £ Sterling which is the currency of the UK.

Instead they make you pay in Dollars $ thereby doing currency exchange at their own rate including charges. That is just a small example!

All sorts of trade involve unnecessary charges because we are using Dollars or Sterling or Euros and others...

* Thanks to Russia indeed! They want to divide Russia, install a puppet government, create discord and steal their natural resources. But they are now having to deal with de-dollarisation and a possible multi-polar world ... Amen to that!

Ukraine is just their useful idiot - the country will be drained of its resources and people especially men and the profits will be carted away by the real Imperialist; not those accusing Russia of what they were doing and continue to do all over the world.
SportsRe: I am not your friend: Tebas, Vinicius Jnr Clash over racism claims by chrisj2(m): 2:10pm On May 22, 2023
The man Tebas is a fool and typical European and racist apologists. He counted several incidents himself over a few seasons and then had the gull to call it Vinicius for not attending meetings to talk about talks.

Video evidence is plenty but they will spend years investigating nonsense and sweep things under the carpet.

Spain is a typical racist country especially against non Europeans and worse against blacks.

They did many times to Ronaldinho, Etoo and even Lewis Hamilton.

As an Arsenal fan, I am pleased that Arteta did not with the Premier League; we already dick-head, cocky Spanish winning manager in Pep, not need another one.

Rafa and Emery were slightly better but they rarely purchase black players or stand by them. What Emery and then Arteta did to Ozil was in part because of their racism. And the Arteta to Aubameyang - totally over the top and making an example of him to boost himself. Auba ended up collecting Barca championship medal - irony!

Pep to Toure and Etoo - jealous racists!

We are in the UK - you cannot force kids to do much... They now have a sweet tooth and are used to junk; it is not easy to change.

I cannot change the missus my advice and warnings - she has brought her Nja mentality and food habits; moreover, money now dey to eat any old thing.

I am mad about it because it gives a headache when I have to feed them or watch them eat sh1t or come home to one of them whispering that they have had KFC or something like that!

Good afternoon famz,

I am going through alot of mental stress right now, UKVI has really dealt with me so badly without committing any crime. I applied for a student visa, priority to be precise, bio was done on 20th of January, decision was made on 23rd January and I got BRP mail on 26th of January but could you believe that since then ukvi refused to send my passport back to TLS for collection, I have been battling with this for long, I keep going to IKEJA TLS but the truth is even the so called TLS are not ready to help and now my school told me not to bother coming again even if my passport is return back to me. Right now I want to ask, can ukvi be sue and also how can I request for my IHS refund? Please house help me
You will definitely get your IHS fee back!

Maybe there were issues with international mail but who knows? Why would they refuse to return your passport after giving you a VISA? That is difficult one.

When does your course start?

County?

Your shire? Berkshire, Herts, Greater London, Lancashire, Devonshire, Greater Manchester, West or East Midlands, Anglia, Wales (they have their own counties), Northern Ireland (FATLAD), Scotland (their own counties like Aberdeenshire, Ayrshire etc) and so on.

Wahala for UK?

My missus was called into school too but that has been resolved and she has learned her lesson; all of us. Some Nja people no dey hear word or think they know best... Nja mentality should be left in Nja...

You should be fine in the end. This is not a straightforward case of abuse and there will be no real evidence against you except for the misconstrued or overblown words of the children... Things have happened but as long as you keep your noses clean and make some adjustments, then you will be fine.

Nothing you can really do but to maintain calm and not aggravate things, leave them to do their job... Also, do not lean too much on the children because they will still talk... Nothing like threatening to take them back to Nja but firmly letting them know that things might be rough for all of you and they should be careful what they say...

Sad!

I feel for you and understand your frustration. Imagine being offered food vouchers - I am glad you did not accept because some people are so greedy that they take anything free on offer.

The issue of kids eating every hour is one that I can relate or understand. I put that issue solely down to my missus that has come to join and was the sole carer of the children in Nigeria.

Even this morning, a half term weekend, one of them has just had a small amount of cereal with milk and a cup of hot chocolate. Said, she was full! How come? Not even have toast or apple but within an hour, she will be asking for snacks.

The missus feed then junk and mostly sweetened items; cereals, waffles, dough nuts and lots of crisps and biscuits and sweets - she is also the chief officer of eating all them sugar and snack type foo; now moved on to maccyDsvand KFCs. Nja has done her and she has done the kids - they rarely eat vegetables or variety of food - even Nja food is not eaten anymore; Yanga!

Anyways, try and make sure the children get up early and eat well and not having to snack every hour..

As for discipline - this is not Nigeria; all the shouting and threats and even beating will not work and kids talk to each other and teachers; sometimes things come out innocently and other times they are tricked or cajoled based on bias or innocent comments.

Child says to teacher, there is so much noise and disruption in class; these will not happen in my old school in nja, they will be flogged - green light to interrogate what is happening at home...

I should also add that one of mine is entitled to free lunch or food but we go with packed lunch because they do not like school food or eat what they have on the menu; things that are good for them. Missus just give them mostly rubbish and the occasional fruits and yogurt if she can be bothered. They are even entitled to fruits and yogurt anyways.

Snacking from lunch box is probably not allowed if they are on school meals... They are generally not allowed to be dipping into lunch boxes at an early age.

Welcome to the UK where parenting is different and made even more difficult by the woke attitudes of the do-gooders... Good luck. Keep your head and that of your family down!

Stupid people! These yeye politicians and technocrats are always dragging Nigeria down... We see how they do things in other countries, yet, we mess things up so badly as if we are all illiterate.

UK changed its currency but they started with £5, then £10 and then to £20... Over a period of more than 3 years. When I still find an old £5, I simply take it to the bank and it is deposited.

Nja is a cash-based country that tried to replace it's majorly used notes in 4 months... On top of that, they did not release enough new notes, banks still giving out old note a week before deadline. Now we hear, they do not even have enough of the new notes. Shame!

IyaTola:
WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO BE A TEACHER IN THE UK?

Being a teacher in the UK is a horrible experience — it is a taste of hell.
I was a teacher in Zimbabwe for over 10 years.

I loved my work; I remember assemblies where children would greet us in chorus.
I was proud to be a teacher.

Our students would salute and greet us on the streets, showing us respect.
A misbehaving pupil would hide, show remorse on being found out.

The day I left for the UK, I was excited and convinced that I would make an impact as a teacher in the land of the Queen.

According to Mhofu from Luton, teaching in the UK is no walk in the park.
Mhofu: “You know, if it wasn’t for teaching, I probably wouldn’t have travelled as much as I did. It was the teaching that got me around the world. But here in the UK, I got a rude awakening.

I got a teaching job at a school in Luton which was touted to be one of the best schools. I was grateful and overjoyed. On my first day in class the children looked at me as if they were seeing a ghost. One child raised his hand and said to me: ‘Are you an idiot’.
I was shocked; I was a teacher.

I looked at the child and wanted to hit him but I had been warned never to touch a child or I would die in prison. I pretended I had not heard the child then I heard another say: ‘Hey, are you deaf?’ I was so angry and I walked out to make a complaint to the teacher-in -charge. As I stepped out, the classroom broke into uncontrollable laughter. I had never been insulted by a child and let alone a white one. I was so angry l started shaking.

I walked into the teacher-in-charge’s office. He looked at me and said go and control your class first. I walked back in the class and everything that followed made me sick to my gut. I just had to leave the classroom as l did not trust myself not to take my typical ‘teacher action’ against these wayward children. I went home.

I got a call from the school which informed me that I had been fired because I had no confidence and skills of dealing with children.
I then got another job as a teacher. This time, I was called a ‘supply teacher’ who is equivalent to a temporary teacher. The only difference is a supply teacher is a qualified teacher.

I arrived at the school, this time determined to bring some order. As I walked into the classroom, I saw, on the green board, an offensive statement. It was a question: ‘What’s the difference between a monkey and a blackman?’

Just below it was an answer: ‘At least a monkey can climb trees.’ When I asked who wrote that in a very angry voice, the class remained silent.

I turned to the board to rub the offending statement. When I was done and turned to the class, I saw my bag fly out of the window.
I got angry and shouted at the class. The head-teacher and a few other teachers rushed to the class. The pupils all rushed to one corner and on seeing the headmaster, they started screaming.

The headmaster, in front of the children told me I was intimidating the kids and making the learning environment a war zone. I told him they had thrown my bag out of the window and had written racist remarks on the board.

The head-teacher said he could see nothing on the board and the kids shouted that they had thrown it out after I had tried to hit them with it. I was asked to go home and reflect on my teaching skills.

The classroom is controlled by children; you must do what they want and you must not dictate to them. The head takes the word of the child against yours. Now I am working towards extracting myself from a career I was passionate about and I ask myself why?

Those who are thinking of teaching here must brace themselves for a torrid time.” According to Paul Taruvinga: I had my interview with a teaching agency in the UK before I finished University.

I was accepted and so when I arrived in London in 2003 on my UK working holiday visa, I was ready to start my teaching career in Hackney, East London, an area I was soon to discover to be one of London’s most challenging.

I wasn’t quite ready to settle into a full time job so I went straight for the supply (casual, substitute) teaching. This meant I was running all over the East End, going to different schools every day. It was a great way for me to get to know the city.

It was also a fantastic way for me to learn how to be an adaptable teacher – different students, different classes every day.

One day I was called to the headmaster’s office; I was informed that a child had complained that I speak so loud that the child is now having sleepless nights. I was asked to lower my voice or I would be sued if the child went deaf.

I am not a loud speaker; I was shocked. I could not answer. Then one day I was accused of sexual abuse. I was alleged to have touched a girl-child on the shoulder. I was told any form of touching was abuse. I was suspended.

After three months of no pay, I was reinstated. I now hate teaching with a passion.”

John Dickson: “l was reprimanded for calling a child ‘my son’. When I came to school the following day there was a fuming parent who said to me: ‘Hey, my son has a father at this school now!’

I said I didn’t know about that and then she accused me of calling him ‘my son’ the previous day in class. I went numb.

She went to the head and I was seriously admonished.” The culture here is so strange. There is nothing like stopping students from throwing chairs at each other. The schools here are a complete opposite of the schools back home. Teaching is a nightmare here.
It is the most stressful job in the UK.

Copied!
I just needed to acknowledge this post.

£28,000 is not yeye money if you can cut your coat for some years and then find other means (side hustle) of making money. Tutoring, marking exam papers, selling on eBay, investing or even a second (you finish at 5pm maximum) plus prep and marking and assessments).

If single, then it is fine and as a couple, the other half will also have to bring something to the family coffers.

Live cheap and decent, don't join up with owambes, forget churches, try to integrate and not waste your money being a Nja, eating expensive Nja foods and no sending money home until you are strong financially.

But teaching in UK takes a strong mind, big confidence, knowing your subject better than most (maths, sciences helps), forget Nja attitudes and discipline and let things go and not take it personally. Thick skin and being an entertainer works best in the worst schools than the subject matter

What is it with over frying in Nja?

All the meats are super fried and mostly dry and chewy!

It does not matter how much you warn about dangers of consuming too much oil and not wanting dry and overfried meat, you still get the same!

I was in nja for a while, I caught loads of snails... My last day of visit, I started preparing the snail to eat and share but too busy, sister came along and fried them all to crisp...

That is not what I wanted at all - just pan fry or saute will have sufficed, not having to use toothpick afterwards

I am still angry with myself and my family for going against my principles of not being in relationship that involves over-investment on my part of listening to their nonsense about 'helping someone' or that such a person (younger woman) will learn and adjust.

People rarely change and most of our women are a liability; even when you raise them up from their low point, their focus is on their family and friends that could not provide for them in the first place.

One will think that one good turn deserves another but our women will go the opposite way - when they come into money, they become rude and unmanageable. Worst still, they want to keep their new money and run the man into the ground.

It is not worth it to invest for love! Also, better to marry close with a one's income and upbringing bracket

Just message him and tell him the truth and hope he comes round or understand. A man from abroad at his age will not be used to that forming style - it is unnecessary!

Next time go easy on first date and whatever happens, always reply to messages, be it a negative or post response. You could have just replied in such a way to tell him that you are thinking and stepping down as you just met.

This is either Sabotage or incompetence or a freak accident. Some crew members will have died but this was not a hit that killed 500 Russian navy... How come there was a Turkish ship nearby and they came to the rescue rather than Russians? And where are the crew in this photo.
Lastly, it will have been a lucky shot if they were Ukranian missiles because they should have been able to repeat the same.
Russia losing men heavily because of underestimation of the amount of weapons Ukraine had and been getting. Columns of tanks will never be a military strategy anymore - not without patriots or other defense systems or drones.

Drones and Shoulder launchers and smaller artillery are the winners of this war. Courage too!

Russia have decided not to be too nice - so it is now more bombardment and more civilian casualties. NATO went shock and awe with a smaller and unsupported country like Iraq - they cared less about the country or the people. And it was an unjustified war and occupation that ended badly.

Russia did not want to occupy Kyiv but get close enough to distabilise and neutralise military infrastructures without much civilian casualties but they paid dearly for it.

Less than 100 civilian losses by the time they pulled back - compared to NATO wars? And they wanted to bring democracyhuh

The British news agency keeps referencing his UK credentials while he and his supporters keep saying that he joined the Ukranian army and has a girlfriend in Ukraine. However, he is clearly a soldier of fortune haven fought in Syria with Kurds (US sponsored); then he swiftly moved to Ukraine after the Crimea conflict. He has been in Ukraine since then and fighting alongside Nazis. the worst part of things for him and his supporters is that he had been posting of their successes - killings of Russians or ethnic Russian Ukrainians.

The Azov battalion are merciless to Russians - he is lucky that it was not reversed or he was not captured to Chenchen fighters. He also said he will never surrender and here we are...

War is not a game. The Russians have been incompetent in many areas but some of their own soldiers and personnel have Ukranian or Western leanings; so a lot of sabotaging is going on... And Russia is in a proxy war with NATO - with constant supply of weapons well before invasion and during...

* I dont believe that a whole warship was sunk by missles from Ukraine - more like an accident, incompetence or sabotage... Russia is now bombing KVIV to hunt down weapons supplies. Russia knew what they were doing encircling Kyiv at the start - they needed to be close enough to neutralise the military infrastructures and cut off weapons supplies - they failed, of course. NATO was already well embedded and tanks are now useless when pitched against drones an Manpads, anti tanks etc

Spanish folks especially male tend to be racist or jealous of the free spirit of most African men...

Spanish managers tend to have more problems with African players. There is always something - the more they stay at a club, the less blacks you see in their teams.

Guardiola, Benitez and now Arteta...

Lewis Hamilton has the most horrendous racist abuse at Spanish grand Prix especially when he was still competing against Alonso.

Aruba not so great in my view - always overrated but this treatment is not right! They will still have to pay him and pay him out... I bet the next club will enjoy him more than Arsenal has in the last 1.5 years

Maybe his free spirit has been affected by Covid thereby affecting his performance.

A woman who after 2 kids still has her husband seriously sexually interested in her should consider herself fortunate in this day and age.
Moods and interests cuts both ways. Not in the mood or not interested or using sex as a weapon also cuts both ways - I know; because I am not a Hot goat that is controlled by his dick.

The biggest problem is what happens afterwards if the situation gets out of hand. There will be zero intimacy and no one will want to initiate sex...

Men also have sex when they don't want - just to satisfy their wives or boost the wife's confidence even though she is typically overweight and not adventurous in bed. Some don't even know how to really turn a man on - they think it is just about boobs and ass.
