dwilliams:A word to the wise - just put the items in your suitcase and check it in... It is simple really! The scanners that check your luggage on entrance to the airport do not look for items like that. However, if they find an item that looks suspicious and your Nja food especially bush meat is visible then they might the checkers might want something or start drama and story. Pack your stuff well and disguise it. As for hand luggage, if you are not overweight and do not have sciccors, knifes, screw drivers, lighters and liquids and others, then you should be fine. The problem is that if there is any reason to stop you then other things can come into play... |
It is simply not worth it! Is he not going to finish the egusi one day and then resort to buying from local african or asian stores? I rarely carry any nigeria food save for Garri and that is because I am lazy to go to the stores and my mum always like to give something and wants me to give other family members. I could not care less about Nja food - food na food! To make drama over something as insignificant as that As for the person saying that Peak Milk cost $9 - what? What do you want Peak milk for? You can get fresh milk and other types of powdered milk. Na wa for our people. We are not the only ones - Oyinbos do the same, of course. And the Orientals are the worst - they risk massive fines when they travel to countries like Australia. is is cooked Egusi soup or Egusi seeds or ground egusi? |
GreatestA1:Big up to you! The friend was not even invited; she forced herself into the situation and did not bring any money... It is not the issue of wearing bathroom slippers that is important here; it is the rudeness of the busybody and good-for-nothing friend. At the end of the day, she was even asked to leave while the man in slippers stayed with his friend (he never said he was on a date). A mall! Big deal. |
Money ritual of any guise is bollox! It does not exist!! What is behind Money Ritualism is just a whole loads of criminal activities. Simple! |
OgbueshiOKPANAM:I am more concerned about why they still allow them anywhere near their weapons than them being unclad. If the are truly robbers rather than mere theives them any humiliation is worth it; and it will also make it hard for them to escape with just their pants on... Get it? |
SAMBARRY:funneeee... Abeg, close your legs - na by force to have many children. And is having children all the women are useful for - no be joint decision to have children. And maybe women do not enjoy sex at all - it is all about men according to mumus like you. I often wonder what some Nja men get from their women - I could not give a damn about your toto or body; plenty of fishes in sea... Many of these lazy asses are fat and useless and demanding - wtf! |
She spoiled everything that she said by continuing this idea that men should 'buy'something for the wives. Spending #2000 might result in criminal activity for some men... And why the old-fashioned idea of men always buying for women; it should not be about money spent but gestures made. If the man spend a whole lot of money on the children and providing good food and nice environment for celebrations then the woman should be happy and not be self-centred about what she got or did not get. As for the idiot talking and prophesying about an advancement from a #7000 bag to a Gucci; that woman is still a problem. Money comes from work and not religious clap-trap and bringing GOD into material wants is not a good way to go about things. Nja women? I am not even happy with her message after all - why talk about gifting cars?.. stupid stupid stupid. |
How much is Shea Butter (ori) and Coconut oil combined with Aloe Vera? I can make that and put in it a pot with fancy packaging... If I give this lady the cream, what will I get out of it? Nja women sef! Quantity of Shea Butter, Coconut Oil and Aloe Vera in a pan and boil until all his mixed and water content evaporates; sieve and let it cool a bit (to avoid scalding) and then pour in a jar - refrigerate and put small amount out to use everyday for a long time. Stretch marks will be gone and also lose weight - lazy ass! Alternatively whisk all the contents and put in fridge to harden and use. You can also add vitamin E from capsules. All these will cost less than #1500+/- ... |
Serena let herself down big big time. And this tends to happen when she is losing; especially to people that she expects to beat. It was so sad to behave so disgracefully in front of someone that admires you so much... She has always had a bit of a temper and comes over all street and yes, 'angry black woman'. That phrase is stereotypical and not particularly racist and I can say so as a black man (much the same way rappers use 'nigga'. Lately she has become some sort of activist/feminist I am mother and I am doing it for all the mothers out there - it is not so easy and so on and so on. The thing is; she has actually surpassed all expectations having just come back from child birth, nursing and a difficult birth to boot. She dis alright at the French, got to the finals in the next 2 grand slams. She should have been so so happy with the huge progress within a short period of time... However, she wants to win badly; perhaps for the ego, the record book and most importantly for a little girl... Regardless, her behaviour was inexcusable and turning bad behaviour towards an umpire who played by the book into some sort of sexist and racist accusation is really very low. She will struggle to come back from her recent bad behaviour. Her legacy is really at stake now unless she turns round and quickly apologise to the Umpire, Naomi Osaka and the entire tennis watching fans and her federation and tennis bodies. The umpires are considering boycotting her matches unless she apologies. Her coach has dumped her in it by confessing to coaching (and she should have known the penalty for coaching goes to the player not the coach). Many people that have watched the furore again have also come to the conclusion that in this particular case, Serena had a meltdown. Breaking her racket was the real start of the issue not the coaching code violation (that was just ego and stress of losing). And to call an umpire a thief is unforgivable when you were already on a yellow card... She also put in the big I AM... You will never umpire on my court... OMG! Who the hell is she? |
See the raised elbow and enthusiasm from Kenyatta and the girlie submissive hand and elbow position of PMB - help! |
Elder001:George W Bush also did not go to war. And his father was a military man for that matter. Going to war is a sacrifice and all those that serve are heroes; so McCain is not a special hero - and in that, Trump was right... (though he should not have said it - he gets too angry and cannot resist comebacks - foolish man). However, being an American pilot in the US Airforce is a lot easier than being an infantry man or an IPOB or Nja fighter in the civil war - the dangers are not the same at all. McCain was privileged - son and grandson of military personnel and with a past of making money on shady deals. He was also a war criminal - most US pilots end up being war criminals anyway because they often bomb indiscriminately and the bombing is rarely against military targets but civilian infrastructures and even civilians; to kill the spirit of the country and its people. He has made 23 sorties before being shot down - and that included light bulb making factories with civilian workers and many others. You can say he was unlucky but Vietnam did not have aircrafts and hardly any surface to air missiles - he mess up! Even though he was tortured; he broke (does that make him a hero - cue Trump again...) and he made propaganda videos for the enemy (heroes do not do that), and he even expressed remorse for bombing targets that are mostly civilians or civilian infrastructures. All in all - this man appears to be more of a hero because he got captured - that is messed up thinking! |
He tried twice to become the President of the USA - and failed badly; even George W Bush - another war draft dodger beat him to it! he was such a hero that people thought there was something wrong with him the head and refused to let him be President. This is a man that voted for every war going and was always prepared to put American's military lives in danger for geo-politics and some other nefarious and money making schemes. Being a US pilot that got his plane downed, captured (tortured - according to him; something the USA now do openly and regularly - supported by himself); he is a lucky man to be alive and not killed instantly when he was captured. The havoc wreaked by the USA bombing of Vietnam and some of the other war crimes committed by the infantry would have meant instant death if the situation was reversed and it was Americans being bombed. We have seen what some of the US military have done in Afghanistan, Iraq and so on - they do revenge their deaths! I am glad to see that he went back to Hanoi even if it was to film and make even more money but being an American pilot against many other rag-tag nations without air power is often less risky than driving a car. TOTAL WAR MONGER: Here are the ones that I can think of, please point out any I missed in the comments: Afghanistan Bosnia Federal Republic of Yugoslavia Georgia Iran Iraq Kosovo Libya Mali Nigeria North Korea Sudan Syria United States (on the border) Bonus: Countries Where McCain Wants To Send Arms Libya - did Nicaragua Syria - did Ukraine - did --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- NIGERIA is among the list - let that sink in! Unless you think that Nigeria should be wiped off the face of the Earth because it is a shit-hole. If anyone think inviting the USA to come and help you fight off your enemy from within is a good thing - then talk to the Libyans; all very messed up now. They will destroy the country and then make serious money rebuilding and the country will be one of their proxies for life! |
Sorry, i did say that I was confused. I have not done any of the English test but my spouse will be doing one. For clarification sake: IELTS Life Skills A1 This test is for those who need to prove their English speaking and listening skills as part of their application to UK Visas and Immigration for Family, Spouse or Partner visa. |
Actually you do not need to submit your educational qualification/s. IELTS General Training result is all you need. Where some people have fallen foul is in assuming that because they have a bachelors, masters or even PHD from a Nigerian University then they should be exempt. Or as in the case of ibkbossun, she had the IELTS but did not attach (as i understand) and somehow did not even attach the certificate from her UK Masters degree... Kinda confusing to be honest... Some have done some penny pinching by not spending on IELTS test but gone the NARIC route and some have just attached letters from their NJA university - the latter not clever at all. Another #70,000 out of more than 1 million naira spent is just what it is... |
'My first refusal was a stupid mistake of submitting an original reference letter from school with a general training ielts test instead of the original certificate of my Uk master's degree certificate. In those few months I waited I went through all the immigration rules I could find.' With the amount of money paid, you would think that they can just make a call to your university to confirm you did a Masters degree there in the Uk? how hard will that have been - very officious and cruel - Hostile! |
Congrats and well done! |
APC or PDP - none of the above will get my vote for Presidency. People should consider voting for Independents or other parties or spoil the ballot paper as a protest. It is better to wash your hands off the Nigerian nonsense than to try to justify between one devil or the next... |
Bibidear:You can add a lot of Yoruba muslims to that and a heap load of Redeemers... They need brain transplant surgery fast... Buhari ke? |
Is he gay as well as married? What is it with DavSagacity moralising? Lighten up, dude! * You think it is wrong to lust after lecturers - you have to remember that the school of agriculture has mature students that were sent from their workplaces; usually state ministries of agriculture to acquire higher education for advancement and promotions. Some of the students were older than the lecturers... Perhaps these days the student population is just full of young 20-something but even in my 20s, I was lusting after 40-year old women - bring it on! |
DavSagacity:I thought the complainant said he hates women - maybe female students, he meant to say. Married with a beautiful wife and 2 kids - I need to check this out; poor woman - he needs a real man. I shall be on the case |
DavSagacity:It used to be part of Obafemi Awolowo University or the old School of Agriculture, Moor Plantation (towards Apata). Ibadan. being gay is not a crime or abomination but extortion and harassment for sexual gratification is wrong for both homosexuals and heterosexuals. However, I would not have said no to some of the female tutors/lecturers back in the days... LOL |
Anduku:The ex-German guy that criticised him is mostly right. Ozil is a dreamboat for those that judge players by Opta stats but for the real football supporters that look at the whole picture and contribution and compare his likes to those in the top clubs; the man has passed it and never should have been signed for a top PL team like Arsenal. Ozil is fantastic in the midst of other great players like those he played with at Real Madrid (did not win much there) and the German team (forgetting the aberration of the last world cup). He managed to score a higher percentage of goals for Germany than any of his football clubs. |
Ozil should have been offloaded by Wenger... Now he has not only overstayed his welcome but left us with a passed-it midfielder on a very new and expensive contract. Captain material - not! |
oxygyne:funny - as long as the UK get their blood money... They sabi like money - even though I know it is more about creating a hostile environment but the UK have always been a country that knows how to exploit every opportunity to make money; at least they use it for their citizens; all good! |
Kakushia2:---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- A big thank you to you, ibk and other contributors... That is really useful information. * The only downside - giving the spouse the bank card details and security features - joking; if she spends it like the Beckhams then at least we know where we stand. LOL |
Ibkbosson:Can one pay for the fees using a UK bank's debit or credit card (straightforwardly in Pounds (£) sterling); that is, on behalf of the applicant who is filling the form online in Nigeria? Anyone done it this way recently? Thanks in advance |
Is it cutting the pepper that is the problem here or the amount of rodo or scotch bonnet peppers in the scrambled/fried egg? That amount of peppers will knosck someone out and you cannot even taste the egg afterwards. Eggs can be prepared anyhow - in seconds; I dont know what the guy is crying about! |
These children are too little to be in school - Nja parents too quick to shirk their responsibilities; they send 2 or 3 year-olds to formal schools. And during holidays, they moan when they actually have to parent the kids. Yes, it is not easy as people have to work but the children did not ask to be born... If you cannot feed, house and look after them, then dont bother! |
fuckboys:Not just that, they want the man to take care of their family too. When you married, you pay bride price and they give you the woman; why come around for more. Some women are so needy and so mouthy - if she is not happy with the marriage, she can leave. No excuse for beating her but she might have been injured in a struggle especially of she goes to accost the man and he reacted. I cannot see head injury or something like that |
Brugo:Churches generally have something to do with politics; the thing is that some Pentecostal churches are now like the old catholic church - they have their fingers buried in a lot of pies. pastor this pastor that - what is the point? how many pastors do we need - na that people go chop? Even real Pastors should go and get a job. Just because you want to contribute in church does not mean you have to have the title of Pastor - even if you have the quailfication; she has a full time job and that is more than enough for her to be concentrating on |
When someone says that i understand then that person is not really arguing... ricki is a bit of a troll and i was humouring him. I never said that any individual should do this or that. Who would want to throw money away for foolhardiness. But I should also caution people that might be trying too hard - people that might start to live their lives based on obtaining a VISA... * I shall be going through rejection letters for my personal empirical studies... I an not arguing with anyone - in fact, i commended people for putting info in distinct and easily identifiable folders with tables of contents etc. Each to their own! |
