FakeManna: inside life, betting is never for the faint heart, it pains sha but just consider it a bad day and move on surely you will get over it.
I know the feelings it pains more than anything but that's when you need to apply your strong heart.
I still can't forget the day I lost a 5mil bet with only one game remaining and what pained me was that it was the game with less risk because those guys used to pour in goals like water so it was over 1.5 with least odds 1.20 while the ones with higher chances of cutting odds like 1.80,2.3,1.60, etc entered na the one i expected least cut am and the one that pained me most was that those idiots scored the first goal in 26th minutes of the game so I already considered myself a 5mil Richer but to my doom and nightmare this game ended 1:0.
It was like a dream and I felt useless and dejected. I cursed God and swore never to believe in God again but all out of frustration. you know what i did?
I just went out and had a lot of drinks and got drunk went home and slept off still woke up with the pains especially when I remembered what 5mil can do for me.
Las las I still dey alright
Say no to gambling.
if you must play, do it for fun and never put your hopes in it, game wey go enter go enter if e go cut nothing go stop am.

sulaak: But, being self-sufficient rice production reduces the impact on our FX reserves. A country that can feed itself can develop itself.
The next focus should be banning fuel imports and getting the refineries to work after 5 years of Buhari holding the ministry of petroleum porfolio there should be no excuse why Nigeria refineries are still working at 10 % capacity. I beg to defer please, the first focus should have been this your suggestion. |

Successlane: Then let them stay back and earn their living in Nigeria.
Nigeria is more endowed, They should be struggling to come to Nigeria, not the other way round. More endowed in what sense pls? We can't even compare the electricity supply and good road network in Benin Republic to Nigerias'.... How will business thrive? Pls this topic is not a sentimental one, we are talking about survival. Nigerians keep relocating out of the country in droves given the slightest opportunity,is that normal? Our government has failed us.... |

codedguy1: So when they open them by January we should expect resumption of rice smuggling and clashes would resume. No?
What reforms has the customs gone through within this closed period to indicate that they are more equipped or trained to manage what they couldn't manage before.
If you didn't have a worn out rettardded brain you would have understood that the problem is with policing and managing our borders and smuggling routes by the customs and not outright closure of the borders. No import/export.
Its hard to be positive when you are doing the right thing the wrong way. No reforms at all my brother, as I speak to you the Customs officials and Police are still collecting bribes to allow small quantities of contraband move. Smugglers have deviced new means of smuggling, doing so in smaller quantities under pretence of being for personal use and so on, if you juba Wella you go pass but at the end the expenses isn't worth it. All am saying is Customs remains our problem, they should step up their game and carry out serious reforms towards enhancing border policing. |
Politics › Re: Border Closure Bites Hard On Rice, Textile Shops In Benin Republic by Countersam(m): 2:12pm On Nov 09, 2019 |
maasoap: The major reason for border closure was to address the influx of terrorists that were trooping in to join Boko Haram and ISWAP. So, border closure is different from ban on the export and import of some selected items into the country just boost our domestic production and consumption of locally made items You are totally out of line, there is movement of human beings without contraband goods so long you have your passport although other illegal entry is still thriving. So how does this block influx of people intending to join Boko? The border is open from 6am to 6pm and people are moving in and out of Nigeria unimpeded.check your facts.... |

Romance › Re: How Can I Cut This Guy Off Without Hurting His Feelings? by Countersam(m): 11:40pm On Oct 09, 2019 |
Pettyprincess: There is this guy i met on 2go long time ago when i was fourteen years old, we exchanged contact and since then we have been talking and he did usually call me everyday just to hear my voice,he is way older than i am.
After sometime we lost contact, and we reconnected back on facebook and we started talking since then, he has always told me he likes me blah blah but still waiting till i am mature enough.
So when i clocked 18, he told us to meet which i agreed and we actually met at a bar and he finally told me about his feelings physically and said he would love us to date but i declined because i actually had no feelings whatsoever for him but i said we can be friends.
So since then he has been calling me every single day, everyone in my family knows him because of his constant call and one day he told me he is at our area that he would love to see me i actually agreed even if i never wanted because people at my area will think i am dating this guy and i know he is not my type moreover after my first (unserious) bf that cheated on me because i didn't give him chochie i decided never to date Nigerian guy no more, but this guy that is crushing on me will not let me go.
After that first visit he now wants to turn to it to routine to always visit me whenever he is in Lagos which i am not comfortable with but i dont know how to tell him because he is really nice caring and has been there for me financially when i needed him but still it doesn't change my feelings.
Nw i gat a serious bf, although he is not Nigerian but he is also caring, honest, nice, very handsome and very tall and those are the features i like a guy to possess, especially I love when a guy is very tall because i am petite AKA portable ND this non Nigerian guy has already talked to my mum and my mum seems to like him a lot although they couldn't speak well because my mum not so fluent in English.
So this guy crushing on me still wants to be visiting me again after i told him i have gotten a boyfriend but he insisted that he will still visit me which i told him okay.
So later he called me that he is almost at my area but b4 he could call me later i quickly blocked his number, he has probably called me many times with his number but later he called me with another number but the moment i had his voice i pretended as if the connection was really bad and we actually didn't see that day.
I know what i did was bad which i have been feeling quilty of bt i dnt wanna give him false hope that we can still date.
So later he sent me a message on whatsapp asking if i blocked his number which i deny because he would be really hurt if i had told him the truth.
Even after denying i blocked his number he has been calling me with another number and my boyfriend got to know this guy nd told me to tell him the truth bt i can't because i know it will very hurtful for him.
Nw i need advice on how i can let this guy to know my bf doesn't want him to be disturbing me with calls or try to visit me no more without his feelings getting hurt.
I only need mature advice!!! Only the truth will give you peace. We know how you girls keep different guys for different purposes like recharge card, money for hair, popcorn, hang out, etc but pls be straight forward and don't let the guy continue loving in despair. |

Busy002: The closure of Nigeria’s borders by Federal Government was undertaken to strengthen the nation’s security and protect its economic interests, the Comptroller-General of Nigeria Customs Service (NCS), retired Col. Hameed Ali, has said.
Speaking during a meeting with border stakeholders, comprising freight forwarders and security agencies on Thursday at Seme, Ali said that the closure was not intended to hurt anyone but to protect the nations interests.
“Our interest is to make sure that our country is secure, the well-being of our people is ensured and our economy is secure.
“The step we have taken is in the interest of Nigeria, the step is not to hurt anybody but to protect our own interests as a nation,” he said.
News9naija reports that Ali was accompanied at the meeting by Nigeria’s Ambassador to Benin Republic, Kayode Oguntuase, Comptroller General Immigration, Mohammed Babandede and Brig. Gen. E.A Ndagi, Coordinator of Joint Border Security Exercise, among others.
The NCS boss said that lots of things had gone wrong regarding compliance with transit of goods, adding that the border closure was to ensure that things were streamlined so that all stakeholders could be back to doing the right things.
“The idea is to ensure that the protocol that is involved in transit of goods and trade facilitation is adhered to so that we will all live and complement each other.
“The operation is undertaken to ensure that we get things back in perspective; we know the right thing, it is well written, we are all aware of it, we used to practise it, so we must go back to that.
Ali said that the freight forwarders were critical stakeholders at the borders and urged them to ensure compliance with the rules regarding transit of goods.
“We cannot do business without you but compliance is lacking between you and our officers. Most of the things we do, we don’t comply with rules and that’s why we end up with weapons, Tramadol that killed our children.
“We end up with ammunition that bandits use to kill our people; we don’t manufacture ammunition in this country, if we do it is only from one source and that source is well protected and documented.
“But today, we have seen many of this ammunition in Nigeria, where are they coming from.
“They have compromised with some of us and some of you and I say to our officers; that weapons, that bullets you facilitate in transiting into Nigeria, you don’t know who will take it.
“The bandits, the armed robbers had no choice, your mother, my children, your sisters might be shot by that weapon,” the customs boss said.
He called for support and cooperation of the stakeholders to ensure the nation is protected.
“We need your support, we need your cooperation and understanding, our national interest is over and above any issue,” he said.
NEWS9NAIJA reports that the joint-border security exercise, code-named ‘Ex-Swift Response’, which was ordered by the Federal Government, commenced on Aug. to secure Nigeria’s land and maritime borders.
https://guardian.ng/news/why-fg-closed-nigerias-borders-cg-customs/amp We are suffering here in Cotonou for shutting the border for over a month. Make una fear God oh FG AND customs..last last na still una people in uniform go still compromise with the rogue importers/exporters. #GodAirpus |
