Maybe he never truly loved her, otherwise, he wouldn't have given up that easily.

I mean, if Jacob could serve Laban for seven extra years just to marry Rachel, what is four years to build himself that he couldn't give?

Maybe Jacob went through all that stress because Rachel was a virgin and a devoted daughter of God who does not bill him unnecessarily.

You missed the point, she made a video with her lover privately but someone got hold of it and pushed her to share it with the whole world. She was hence violated. Whether she did a video shouldn't even be our concern as whatever she did privately shouldnt reach us if the world is proper and decent.
gringrin

Sisi, Tiwa is NOT a victim in any of this... Which one come be she was violated? cheesy

It was mistakenly uploaded on Snapchat by her lover and by the time it was deleted, it's possible anyone could have had it saved already.

I guess that should satisfy your curiosity about how someone got hold of it.

sisisioge:
Yeah, he should be suspected. Why in the world will he make such horrible mistake! Why in the world wont the blackmailer let her or him clean up the mess before forcing them to bring it to the world's notice? Those are the million dollar questions.

I think shes being gullible by sticking it out with the dude... poor girl. Her undoing is being overly trusting. Her sex video on another human's phone! Very silly!
I have a feeling that you too will defend and stick it out with any dude that can make you moan the way Tiwa was moaning in that video.

You're not a child anymore though.

Since he's already made attempts to be closer to you, I suggest you try meeting him halfway.

If you and your dad are not relating and sharing 'men' moments, I wonder who you want to have those moments with within the family.

Just try developing a relationship with him because as a growing man, there are certain things about life you will NEVER learn from your mother... I gotta be honest.

Yes, that is exactly what is expected... because it's the same thing you ladies would want a man to do for you — to push you, to encourage you even when you're not motivated enough, to gently nudge you in the direction that will benefit both of you as a couple in the long run.

I don't see any reason why when it's a man who needs all those, modern women dem are suddenly so satisfied with just doing the bare minimum, only to turn around to announce to the world how y'all have done so much... cheesy

So there’s this tension I feel between me and my dad. I’m 21, just graduated and will be going for nysc this week.

So it happened that I’m making preparations to travel but haven’t told my dad yet. Will be traveling by Friday or Saturday, so I intended to tell him by today evening.

Dad asked me about it this morning and I told him, and he said if he didn’t ask me I wouldn’t tell him. I told him I would and he started saying I never tell him things going on with me but I always tell my mom and why must I send my mom to him whenever I want something and never come myself and says I feel he is not important abi.

He then went further to say it will get to my turn bla bla bla.

But the thing is honestly, I can’t talk to him. I find it difficult to relate with him. This even got worse when I started making my own money, I don’t ask him anything even my traveling arrangements down to everything I did paid everything myself.

He only did one thing for me, even that self I had to tell my mom and my mom told him.

I find it really difficult to talk to him, sometimes when he comes back from work, I stylishly leave the sitting room into the bedroom.

Not that I have anything against him, it’s just not there and he feels my mom is behind it and angry at my mom sometimes.

I don’t even have any intention to come back home after nysc, just feel I should start my life when I go for nysc.

Don’t know if I’m wrong, I just feel somehow to be honest.
Interesting... but I suggest you should finish your prose by telling everyone exactly why you can't relate with your dad.

There has to be something, what is it?

Una don carry this gist come here too? grin

Those commentators and analysts who have been dissecting this matter and making it seem like Tiwa is some kind of victim, y'all are the ones with jokes.

Some are even calling the guy a low-level man, riff-raff, has nothing to lose, bla bla bla... as if that's the point to be seen here.

How can anyone with sense watch that video and still think that Tiwa did not know she was being recorded? Una well at all so? grin

And furthermore since she knew, then it means she was definitely okay with it and okay with the "riff-raff" as well.
And since she was okay with all of it, then I wonder what in hell is wrong with the rest of you people.

Make una rest abeg...

I can bet my left ass cheek that this isn't even the first time Tiwa would get herself recorded while having sex.
She has always given me those kind of naughty vibes... cool

I weigh each situation and approach differently even for same expectations

On the first thread, the guy was schooling & got a job while the babe was static. He is poor but she was poorer so I can talk about rendering financial support in addition to emotional and social/mental support.

In the SSCE thread, I wager the OP is richer so he doesn't need his girl's financial support. He however needs a lot of her time & emotional/mental support. The guy is not ready to further his education because he said the girl suggested it some years ago. She has no influence over him.

On this thread, the babe would be expected to provide financial, social and mental support if they want to upgrade the guy or restructure his business or whatever because she has more than he does.
Which is what is expected of a modern woman.
We are on the same page then... cool

I read the OP of the other thread and I few posts and I wouldn't advise the lady to marry him either.

Not because he has SSCE but because he is very unteachable, unyielding and lacks foresight.

The lady has no influence over him else for the last four years, he should have gotten his first degree even if it is online.
She should have empowered him, pushed him, developed him to her taste in that four years. cheesy

That's what you would have expected if the situation were reversed and it was the woman without a first degree.

Can you see why I was hyperventilating on the above thread why that Op should not marry that lady with her mum and six siblings.
In that thread, the Op had to worry about the lady's family and his too, yet they kept guilt tripping him with words like "she's supportive, she's this, she's that, who would marry poor people, bla bla di bla"?.

Tables have been reversed now, she has seen a hardworking guy and perhaps don't need to worry about the extra baggage of his family. Better still, the guy is even busy oh and intelligent in this case and maybe only needs the right connection to upgrade.
Yet from the disposition you can see she won't go ahead with it with excuses already ranging from the usual "class/status issues" to invented ones like unknown gunmen.

Assuming it was a poor/broke lady, the thread for don reach page 10 with buzzwords like "supportive, good woman, empowering her" everywhere.

Honestly,I don't know when some men will have sense.
LOL. It's their way.

Once their gender is about to be the beneficiary of financial goodwill and/or upliftment from a man, they start throwing such words around... cheesy

See another thread on FP now... Almost all the females there are telling the guy to upgrade or seek his level. LoL.

I've always said it, if your wife flaunts her sexiness online, she's inwardly looking for attention of other men. I mean, "They'll tell you that doesn't mean she's a hoe, it doesn't mean she's courting other men, she's trying to impress her husband(most dumb excuse of all) " etc. If it walks like a duck, "squeak" like a duck, then it's a duck. Family › Re: The Most Bitter Sibling Rivalries In History by crackhaus: 8:34am On Oct 17, 2021
ibinaboonline:
Anyone who has grown up with a sibling knows how easily rivalries can develop. The desire of brothers and sisters to outperform each other is a nearly universal emotion, one that transcends social class, culture, and time period. In other words, everyone is prone to this rivalry, even US presidents.

History is chock-full of famous siblings with particularly juicy beefs. If humans are already naturally inclined toward competing with their sibs, adding power, wealth, or fame to the equation only inflames that tendency. In societies with hereditary governments, siblings have done all kinds of terrible things to each other to seize power for themselves. In more modern times, while dynastic political families do still exist, high-stakes sibling squabbling often plays out in corporate boardrooms or lawsuits. But throughout history, one thing is clear: Family is complicated.

Read on for some of the ugliest sibling rivalries across history.

The Puma and Adidas shoe companies owe their origins to a pair of German brothers, Rudolf "Rudi" and Adolf "Adi" Dassler. While Rudi was drafted in WWI, Adi began creating shoes in their mother's laundry room, and in the 1920s, the brothers formed the Dassler Brothers Sports Shoe Company. It soon reached success due to Adi's innovative new shoes with spikes on the bottoms. At the 1936 Olympics in Berlin, American sprinter Jesse Owens won four gold medals wearing the shoes.

But success led to tension between the brothers, and WWII brought them into a full-blown feud. After Rudi refused to employ his sister Marie's two sons, hoping to deny other family members control of the company, both sons were drafted into the military and killed. Rudi was himself drafted in 1943, for which he blamed his brother. Adi managed to avoid the draft, as he was deemed essential to running the business. Rudi tried to desert his post, fearing his brother was planning to take over, but the Gestapo caught and imprisoned him for the rest of the war.

Like many Germans at the time, Rudi and Adi were both members of the Nazi party, joining in the 1930s. After WWII, each attempted to paint the other as the bigger Nazi, although Rudi was reportedly the more loyal party member. The denazification panel agreed, and Rudi was again briefly imprisoned.

In 1948, the Dassler brothers finally decided to go their separate ways, splitting their assets and forming competing companies. Adi formed "Adidas" using a shortened combination of his first and last name. Rudi called his company "Ruda," which eventually became "Puma."

At the height of the shoe feud, their German town itself (Herzogenaurach) became divided. Workers for either company didn't dare cross the village river to the side of the other. For the remainder of their lives, the siblings rarely saw each other, but on his deathbed in 1974, Rudi invited Adi to speak to him one last time. He declined.

Career › Re: My Boss Dropped An Internship Applicant Because Of This by crackhaus: 8:21am On Oct 17, 2021
The story in the OP is so silly that it's actually funny.

Someone was told to write an essay on any trending topic which denotes that it's not a formal-type writing.

And even if it were to be an official/formal writeup, there's still no sense whatsoever in losing a candidate who was qualified (did well in the aptitude tests according to the OP) over that error.

I simply don't see any reason why the OP should present her boss like some sort of grammatical genius through the narrative.
If anything at all, he seems like someone who takes himself way too seriously.

An internship applicant for that matter.
How much was he gonna pay the young man in the first place I wonder.
