That's Lagos in 1980...they went to watch one of fela's shows in the African shrine...I happened to be there also. Their volswagen bettle (tortise) broke down on the way...after trekking for about 30kilometers under the scorching sun, I offered to give them a lift back to their one room apartment...I remember that day vividly. ![]() |
ijebabe: No I don't, some family members stay there.Really...that's cool. Maybe one of this days, you should visit them..Awka is a cool city. ![]() |
My advise...stay away from their section. Muslims are emotional people. They are kinda unfriendly to comments made by non-muslims against islam, and they tend to keep grudges against perceived enemies. [s] I would suggest you keep away from them [/s]...I wonder why you haven't gotten the message by now...your ban log shows that majority of the bans you've received are from the islam section. logicboy was banned, logicboy01 was banned, mcdaddy01 was banned...think of all the ids you've lost as a result of how outspoken you are towards islam...you cannot win this war. Its obvious they're keeping tabs on you...waiting for you to make a wrong move, then ban you. It would be wise if you keep away from their section...there's a reason its called islam strictly form muslims, and the truth is they want it to remain that way. Concentrate more on the religion section proper, and I'm sure you would enjoy Nairaland much better. Cheers. |

The bible can lead you away from sin, and sin can lead you away from the bible...so endeavor to study your bible always so as to avoid sin....by pastor CrazyMan. ![]() |
Whew...went to uli for a meeting today...a hell of a journey from Awka. Just arrived home safely (glory be to God)...would take a cool bath now, have a hot meal, and then answer to the call of nature (sleep) |
Excellent suggestion! At least that would nicely eliminate the issue of sexism and sexists "jokes". Definition of Sexism: 1. Attitudes or behavior based on traditional stereotypes of s/e/x.ual roles. 2. Discrimination or devaluation based on a person's sex, as in restricted job opportunities; especially, such discrimination directed against women.
You've opted out of the debate...so please stay out of this thread. Your gibberish is already becoming irritating...go find something else to do with your time, and leave us to put our house in order. |
Not supported. Plans have been made since and it was okay till some people could not take jokes.
Exactly... |
Seun: Please, let this be a female only affair. No male judges or officials or contestants.Good idea oga...but the debate is a week from today How do we come up with females who would judge under such short notice...most of them never replied the messages we sent for them to debate. What's the probability that they judge if we invite them. I would suggest we still retain the ones we have...and then replace the ones that no longer have interest to participate. This way, the job would be much easier on us, and the debate would be a success. |
Nice pics...I'm guessing I'm not the only one with a crazy pics anymore. |
@Oma4j I understood that you were making a joke...usually, jokes are allowed..but to some extent. A simple joke on the robe would have been enough, but it seems like you had a great day...therefore you decided play the role of a comedian. The joke was cool anyway. I don't have anything against you on Nairaland, and I know you made the joke from an honest mind set, with no mischievous intentions, but your conclusion is also not good....you made a joke...and then you decided to quit judging simply because someone (one of the judges) you probably dislike didn't take your side. Does that seem like a fair decision...think about it... @efemena xy... Perhaps if you had taken proper time to read oma4j's post, you would have seen clearly that he was just having fun. You might have felt that he (oma4j) might be a bit partial and favour those he's more familiar with... Its ok to feel that way...but if you had sent a pm to either cuddlemii or any of the project team, stating how you feel about the joke...believe me it would have been much better, rather than the public outburst you just made. In case you don't know, what we post here is a partial reflection of our kind of person...if you cannot handle little issues like this in a matured manner, then I wonder how you would handle much complicated cases, should they erupt in the future. |
Is it that people are in a haste to create a thread that they don't bother to review what they've typed....I can't seem to comprehend what you wrote here... ![]() |
@bold. Are you serious?
Yes...can you provide a passage where Jesus laughed or joked... Ihedinobi: Geez, bro, you're scaring the babiesReally...I never meant to...but its the truth. |
Me too. What are you having? I am having noodles
I'm having beans and plantain... |
