What and if ye shall see the Son of man ascend up where he was before?
It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.
But there are some of you that believe not.
For Jesus knew from the beginning who they were that believed not, and who should betray him.

Every single lady that left Nigerian men is regretting it way into her 70s. I bet my friend's ex in Ijagemo is saying the same thing while she is happily married to another guy with two boys. If the homebased guy had created a thread here, you people would still claim she would regret it for living him to marry a diasporan. Please, get over yourselves and stop waiting for your EXes to regret.

Regret indeed. Na the ones wey dey with una for 200yrs while pursuing better suitors no regret am. All this story when women leave, but men leave their gfs and wives everyday.

Regards
Poco, one thing you do often is to generalise. Maybe you just make up things here, so you believe other fantasize too.
A woman whose 9ja hubby now has several other wives/concubines outside and hardly come home? Well, maybe that's normal thing for some women in marriage.

What matters to me is that it was a blessing in disguise. At least she had the chance to follow another man and she took it. Enjoying or regretting it is immaterial. Nobody can blame me for holding her down. I wish her well.

I have remained close to her birth family who have always been good to me since childhood. I have always told them to support her, even when they were livid.

You have your rights to your opinions. Good luck!
Romance › Re: Heartbroken Nigerian Man, Who Returned From UK To Propose To His Girlfriend by Dancebreaker: 1:57am On May 13, 2023
pocohantas:
Pele Sir...
The girl had to act fast. However, she should have broken up with you first. There is nothing to say you would be back or wouldn't impregnate your own gf in the UK. The girl should focus on her homebased guy. I wish them well. If she spent years waiting, world people would say na because she wan marry abroad guy. So, nothing spoil.

Marry a foreign woman. Foreign women rush Naija men at airports all over the world.
Poco, having read another post you replied to someone as to if what the lady did is good or bad, a lady who did this over 20 years ago is still regretting it. Her friends told her exactly the bolded and encouraged her to do.
Life is not all about men versus women. Some men truly love or loved but when disappointed, women come up with various excuses. In so doing, it simply tells men that if a woman does anything, they will never take responsibility. It helps programme men negatively.

Guess what, the lady who could not wait over 20 years ago still has the effrontery to say "you didn't fight for me after you returned, you abandoned me in a bad relationship, my friends said you have probably married oyinbo already", etc.

Fight for another man's "wife" or another child's mother? Like seriously? shocked shocked shocked shocked

Why do you still communicate with her you might asks? Because the families have known for years and contact between certain members on both sides are inevitable.

The immediate response of girls hearing the story include "maybe you were not taking good care of her, maybe you were not communicating well with her, did not assure enough", etc. Just anything to avoid responsibility.

Yet her parents advised her to wait because they were sure of one's character, honesty and integrity that they saw as one was growing up. Yet she defied her parents.

Some ask how come the guy didn't know of the pregnancy, very easy. Even these days, a girl can position herself under a duvet during whatsApp chat or somehow manipulate things to avoid being seen pregnant. There was no GSM back then even.
A girl moved to another city those years ago, was dating and got preggy and her family only knew too late. They were too embarrassed to tell one or let relatives know when they finally found out. They still hoped she would leave the man. She tried to leave him when guy man suddenly landed. But guy man found out the game luckily. Phew! Bullet dodged.

Truly, the chance to date and marry oyinbo was there aplenty, especially from among fellow students but no. A girl was in 9ja waiting. Or so one thought.

These things happen to real people daily. It could happen to your son, nephew, cousin, etc.

It turns out it was actually a blessing in disguise. Thank God it so happened. Her folks have remained as good as ever.

Everybody must live with their own decisions. I hope this lady ends up luckier than the lady of over 20 years ago.

Anybody can choose to leave a relationship at any time. Fair enough but should do the honourable thing and be honest.

The guy will cope fine. Just move on. He shouldn't let the experience define him.

Health › Re: No Student Doctor ‘Butchered’ Any Patient - Edo Specialist Hospital by Dancebreaker:
linearity:
So how do you know, that the operation was carried out by a consultant?

Because the hospital said so? Also, during operation many doctors are involved including student doctors.

Plus, it is even damaging that it was a professional that carried out the operation because if I recall, the husband said, during child birth, the wife experienced a complication and they were advised that her womb have to be taken out and in the process of operating the womb, they tampered with her liver or kidney.

Also the hospital here stated they invited the husband to a multidisciplinary meeting, which means the hospital knew there was fault on their end to have setup a disciplinary team.
Dude, I don't know who is right or wrong but in healthcare "multidisciplinary" means a team of different care specialists that can involve physicians, surgeons, pharmacist, nurses, midwives, psychologists, etc.

Even physicians can further be various specialists: Anaesthetist, haematologist, nephrologist, neurologist, endocrinologist, consultant microbiologist/infectious disease expert, etc. Surgeons can be vascular, general, ENT, orthopaedic, cardiothoracic, etc. You will have obstetrician/gynaecologist who is basically a physician-surgeon whose work is typically medical-surgical in women/maternal care.

Since this involves death of someone, a pathologist, what 9ja used to call morbid anatomist, would probably be involved. May be a neonatologist (new born baby specialist paediatrician).

So it doesn't mean there was a disciplinary committee to punish someone was set up.

What happens is that surgeons spend many more years in training after gaining their medical degree. Health care work is apprentice work basically from day 1 at university. Especially from beginning of proper clinical placement, in UK by year 3 or depending course structure/length of degree. At least in UK and UK system adopted by 9ja.

Postgrad, you must keep learning under prof, consultants and specialist registrars for years. "Student" can technically be someone who is now in postgraduate specialist training but gained medical degree 5 years ago. These junior registrars are the backbone of health care everywhere, doing donkey work under senior physician/surgeon supervision. They are qualified clinically.

Religious teachings sound really good on paper, but are near impossible to wholly observe.. Even Abraham had to lie at some point that his wife Sarah was his sister.. Shey you wan come holy pass Abraham? grin... So no too disturb yourself...

If any Supreme being wanted us stainlessly holy, he shouldn't have created us with this weak flesh in a World where some of the things the Holy Books referred to as "sins" are an inescapable part of everyday life..

He and his angels are busy chilling in their Celestial bodies in a perfect Heaven, while holding to their standards mere mortals who have to deal with the shit hole that the world is presently..

The same God that called a murderous and adulterous David "a man after my heart" is the same person threatening me with hell because I lied I am in Lokoja while I am in Abuja...and you expect me to take that seriously?

Yes, I am a Christian and I attend church quite regularly.. But I choose what portions of the preachings to take to heart and which part to leave right there on the Church floor.. If God wanted me to he holy, he should have left me to be chilling in Heaven, and not sent me down to earth, and of all of places, Nigeria.
Actually God first created mankind perfectly. We only lost perfection after disobedience. Remember in the beginning, Adam and Eve were perfectly sinless.
They were not to get sick, get frail, toil or suffer or die. Satan was created like Angels Michael, Gabriel and others that have remained faithful to God. Eve disobeyed God first and mumu Adam followed Suite. Of course, the oga pata pata of disobedience long before Adam was and is Satan.

After fasting for 40 days and 40 nights in the wilderness, Satan tempted perfect Jesus (akin to Adam and Eve, at least here on earth) but he didn't fail. God did not force obedience on Jesus. He could easily have disobeyed if he wanted to. Close to his arrest and crucifixion, Jesus was afraid because he was in human body that could suffer pain, distress, suffering and death.

Fact is even with perfect creatures like Adam and Eve, God has always given everyone freewill to obey or disobey him. Obey and reap the blessings, disobey and get the punishment.
Even human governments do same. Obey the country's laws and be a good citizen, disobey and get the rap. It's your choice.

You may wonder, if indeed Adam and Eve were truly perfect, why did they still fail unlike Jesus? Well, same reason Satan failed. They wanted to be their own boss and do as they wished. Satan cunningly used it to deceive Eve. Promising her that if only she ate the fruit, she would become wise. Basically telling Eve that God was scamming her and keeping her ignorant.

As for letting you chill in heaven, Satan disobeyed God in heaven. Despite how tough and unforgiving 9ja situation is, there are still ordinary people like airport cleaners, teachers, cab drivers, farmers and others who now and then display uncommon honesty. Returning lost currencies worth millions of Naira to the rightful owners.

We should always reflect on what the scripture we read actually imply. They are much deeper. I know that not everyone has had the privilege to officially study it.

If a Prince shies away from making peace and reconciling warring parties, his title is worthless and redundant.

Correct. The prince's death is sad but royalty is not about just enjoying privileges. It is about also maintaining order in society. Beating a lady in full view of people is against public order. Beating anyone anywhere that you are clearly physically stronger than is no way to prove that you are a man. It is oppression and sheer violence.

The manslaughterer is very uncouth, otherwise he should have at least respected the prince's age no matter the provocation by his girlfriend who still wants to mingle.

In as much as I wanted to quote each and every post I would have loved to respond to, I feel I should just summarize my point here real quick. Yes we have had issues which obviously led to me knowing she cheated on me, but u know women u cant catch them red handed unless you are lucky, That aside though cos I have gba kamun that whatever she wants to do she can do, I am busy trying to work my ass out to sort bills, but one thing you all need to understand that am surprised is not being pointed out is if equality is the main thing in this country, how can a man paying almost 80% of the bills is being treated un-equal? What happened 3 days ago wasnt me trying to track her or whatever, she had left the house since 9am, promised to be back by 3pm, and I had an appointment with someone for 4pm, and u cant leave kids at home here if u are caught, kids will be taken from you. So my major reason for the call was to inquire as to how close she was getting even though the time she was suppose to be home had elapsed. Na her hustle she find go, na my own hustle me sef dey find go knowing fully well i have even more to spend, am i suppose to be put under that kind of situation?

I really do have questions for some people saying am stalking my wife and she should be allowed to live her life. Is that truly what marriage is all about, if you guys that stated that are truly married, is it normal to u that if u call ur wife she dont take ur calls? Does it mean that she can be out there and come back anytime she wants without a legit explanation when we both have responsibility to take and tend to the needs and attention of the kids. I am really lost here.
Dude, you just compounded your problem. Bringing her to UK with such unresolved issues is not very wise. But only you know your exact reasons and circumstances.

Look, many women here will guilt-trip you because they want men to be their poodle. Don't be surprised. They want men to accept behaviours from them that they won't tolerate from the wife of their bother or son.
First, did you probably did DNA test on your kids before embassy accepted your application. If you didn't need DNA test, you should have done so on your own. Nothing like "oh the kids are my carbon copy".

Because about 35% of firstborn kids and 25% of ALL kids belong to another man outside. So you can see why so many women want men to tolerate their suspicious movements. Cheating is rampant. It's much easier for women to cheat. Men need to spin and most times spend money first. Women don't. Women are also super experts at covering their tracks.

Only phone hacking catches them red-handed most times. In the West, you even need wife's consent or court order to do DNA test because govt knows that if DNA test is allowed willy-nilly, super-kassala go burst. Hundreds of thousands of families will scatter. grin grin cheesy cheesy

If your kids are yours, at least one pass mark. Manage the rest for now. Involve a lawyer. Prepare yourself because she will still meet many "I can't be a slave to any man" ladies from failed marriages all over those churches. She might not manage the bad advise many will give her well. So that when push comes to shove, you are ready.

Also I guess you brough your whole family to better your kids' future. Be patient and let them be growing. But prepare for anything. No near-perfect woman anywhere. A seemingly near-perfect wife may be codedly cheating, who knows?

Continue to be a good dad and hubby.

Are you married?
At Bolded, Ukaface you wan come marry me? Oya come na, I dey my house. grin cheesy tongue

Look, truth is biologically, women enjoy sex more. The biology is detailed and unless you are familiar with the science of it, you won't know how males and female compare. You may know your female side well enough.

Marriage is mostly about cultural stuff and biology, the need to have an heir, pass on genes, etc Although we now have sex for fun mostly, the drive is biologically related to procreation.

Remember that until about just 60 years ago when contraception became widespread, every sex act could in theory result in procreation. Males of all species must act in a manner that allows their genes to be passed on. The stronger and fitter you are, the more females you will get. Same among all mammals and other species.

Today fitness could mean having plenty of money, connections and power to provide for young ones.

Yet a young wife of an old rich Otunba/Mazi/Alhaji may due to biology be attracted to and sleep with their young fit driver or maiguard. Because the young driver will sexually satisfy her more with more energy and perhaps also more fertile.

An elderly man still instinctively (but not conscious of it) wants to procreate and may fancy the young fertile house girl to his menopausal wife.

Nature has a way of taking control even when we like to believe that we are fully in control, disciplined, cultured, etc. It takes lots of effort.

The errands were not even worth 10% of what he borrowed from me. But I reward people who do things when I need them to help out. Some always expect favours but cannot do something for you.

In his mind he probably believed he cheated me by borrowing and never mentioning it again. I intended to tell him to keep the money if he wanted to return it and give him extra. That way, he can set himself up. By not mentioning it again, he lost the extra I intended to give him.

The questions are almost similar too my HRM questions in my 300level...
I wonder, anyone who has ever had anything to do with management at university level, even as an optional course, should not find it unusual.
