RomanceRe: If A Girl Is Extremely Busty (breast-wise), Is It A Sign Of Way-Wardness? by darqly(m): 1:50pm On Jun 04, 2009
Oh blimey what a thread! I intepreted it to mean if de babe is born with large breasts, she'll automatically be wayward in future grin

I was in a brief thing with this lovely manCHESTer babe, and there was nothing to suggest she'd been wayward, or will progress to being wayward for that matter!

Nairaland rocks! Imagine cheesy

BusinessRe: Somebody Emptied My Bank Account: Are Banks Safe Afterall? by darqly(m): 6:20pm On May 25, 2009
The compromise is both ways: U have to be aware of de terminal you're using- Are there any devices attached 2 de card reader, or de keypad? Any untoward onlookers or would-be customers? It's called skimming, they use foreign devices attached to the machine to obtain your details, could be a mini-cam even. The most common device is inserted near point of entry of de card reader, it just scoops your info and a card can be cloned al`a-sharp sharp shocked
Stay away from machines that are not in well lit areas, particularly when its dark. Look at your machine closely, observe what's there that SHOULDN'T be there or that wasn't there de last time. Ask questions, whether of staff or security personnel.

The ATM has more pros than cons, we just jumped into it without proper control.
AutosRe: 2002 Bmw 3 Series Forsale(non Registered) by darqly(m): 1:29pm On May 21, 2009
Just out of curiousity - why do like sufferhead - Automatic is best / in that lagos traffic where you are constantly starting and stoping.
@blacksta, wrong oh! We can argue this ALL day looooong, manual only sucks cos you're in Lagos maybe, but where I am, manual is just ok for me.
I have free, open, good roads and the experience of driving is what it should be, not that "mach and go" most road users are using to kill themselves and others cos its auto angry
Anyways, I'll drive a manual till there's an embargo on such vehicles, if ever grin

Hi emeshot,

Just de car am interested in BUT it has to be a manual transmission. Moreover my budget is not up to what you have up there, but keep me in mind if you land a manual.

Nice car!!

Satellite TV TechnologyRe: Official Thread of Free-to- Air Satellite TV [part 3] by darqly(m): 8:02am On May 19, 2009
Hi all, just recently started using a starsat Xr7100 USB. Used to get patches from najmsat.com to unlock showtime and art but have been unable to access the site since sunday evening, hence no more showtime and art since the last update expired.

Patches are a .bin format and I upgrade via USB, anyone know where I can get these patches again? As i'm stuck with just foxmovies and all the mbcs, I really miss Foxnews and Skynews, and my VH1, !! I'll give an arm and a leg for VH1.

Help guys!!
SportsRe: Soccer Viewing Centers - Should They Be Banned? by darqly(m): 5:44pm On May 15, 2009
Well not ban them, it puts food on the table for some.
There are different categories- Once in Jos we went to Barcardi to catch a game. Twas almost like being in the director's box shocked
Tight guys, babes in branded jerseys, different teams all seated together sipping costly sauce and having a good time!!

When I served in Kano, in the HINTERLAND(peeps walk barefoot and still spend COINS in that village!!), I located a viewing centre where viewers sat on the bloody bare floor as the one bench available was for "VIP".

That said, tis fun watchin soccer with people, just be aware of the environment you're in.
If u must patronize a viewing centre, try not to be a cheapskate at the expense of ur security grin
HealthCruciate Ligament Surgery by darqly(op): 3:35pm On May 15, 2009
Is this type of surgery currently available in Nigeria?
Where and how much would it cost?

Any ideas anyone? And its for my knee, not sure if its Anterior or Medial ligaments, but I suspect its anterior anyway.

Nah, Fear not. Who remembers the game against Inter when we did ALL except score in Italy? And we brought em home and finished em off??

Look at the shambles that was Arsenal last nite and wonder where they're going to get 2 goals from. We won't go looking for a goaless draw, for me, another 1-0 victory will do just FINE. And I pray Tevez starts again,

Gooners una still get mouth??

European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)Re: UCL Semi-final: Man United(1) Vs Arsenal(0) On Wednesday 29th April by darqly(m): 2:23pm On Apr 29, 2009
Am having a jolly good laff on behalf of all dem gunners that have a schoolteacher for a coach and a five-a-side squad that will be further eroded after they finish this season trophyless.

But then, this is usual for Arsenal in recent years, NOT a SINGLE trophy from ANY tournament.
Ronaldo to make Gibbs and Silvestre dance de "kerewa" before crossing for Rooney to score.
Berbatov to score a pure beauty and Silvestre to collect his regular red card in big games!!

UTD rule

HealthRe: Any Cure For Stammering? by darqly(m): 5:12pm On Apr 27, 2009
You may want to try that singing therapy that someone pointed out earlier on, it actually works. You won't or can't stammer when you sing. Assume the same composition as you speak. It worked for me, My stammering is GONE mate. And it was BAD, ", the hip, hipp, hippopo, tamus" type stammer that leaves tears in your eyes and laughter in the audience. wink
BusinessRe: GT Bank And Arbitrary Charges: 2500 Naira For A Letter! by darqly(m): 7:33pm On Apr 14, 2009
That u weren't INFORMED was either an oversight on part of the staff concerned or you just didn't read the small print. And customers tend to do that when they want what they want, then after they've calmed down their eye turns red and they're looking for who to sue.

GTBANK is still one of the few organizations that tell you this is Orange, and indeed its Orange, no blemish.
Jobs/VacanciesRe: After First Bank Interview: When Will They Call? by darqly(m): 3:29pm On Apr 09, 2009
Ah, de good ol elephant is scooping talented experienced hands; question is, "Can they keep you?"
It's a good place to work, gather experience and garner pedigree for your resume, but unless they streamline MOST of their processes, they're gonna keep trailing despite their size.

I left cos their HR thot I was just a number, therefore expendable. I see myself crossing back in the not-too distant future, but that's another tale!!

Wish you all the best, !!
Car TalkRe: Do I Remove The Thermostart In My Car Engine? by darqly(m): 12:09pm On Mar 18, 2009
Er, I had mine removed 5 months ago and installed a double cell radiator. The thing is, the car was really bloody overheating(I love driving myself when I travel) and I was transferred further up North-eastern Nigeria. On several trips, I pass other Hondas, overheated with hoods up by the roadside waiting for the engines to cool. I ALWAYS travel with the AC regardless of claims that it consumes fuel ( this is only true when you drive short distances on lower gears, ) and I had no issues.

So Siena, how soon can my engine go belly-up?? cry Nice insight though a wee bit late for me.
PhonesRe: Album Art Blank On The Fone's Media Player by darqly(op): 6:44pm On Mar 13, 2009
Thanks guys but isn't this like double work?? I have a feeling if we get high-speed USB cables (if there's anything like them), it'll be able to transfer de full details including album art in one fell swoop. I think I moved tracks from my pals PS3 with his cable and the album art actually displayed on my 5700 XM.

Second problem is that I'd have to download the album art AGAIN seperately before uploading, dunno where I can even begin to do that, cos I have tons of music on the fone.

PoliticsRe: Niger Delta Militants Massacre Nigerian Troops. by darqly(m): 7:46am On Mar 03, 2009
Dull, crappy, stale news!! Niger Delta Militants? More like Desperate criminals to me, stealing crude and deceiving themselves with a fuzzy cause that no-one supports.

They have no bite outside their marshy verandas; did they ever blow up Julius Berger in Abj as they swore they would?
Lousy thieving cowards, time will come when they'll slurp that crude that their so FULL of.

St. Funmi, what are you? Head PPRO for MEND? Get a job!! angry
PoliticsRe: CAN Wants Nigerians To Carry Arms (Religious Crisis) by darqly(m): 12:16pm On Feb 26, 2009
oyb:
the united states developed the nuclear bomb in world war II. the weapon capable of ending mankind back to the stone age. the bomb may have turned the course of the war, but today, so many nations have nuclear weapons, and the world is certainly no safer for it.
I beg to differ there mate, I think it was Teddy Roosevelt who said "Speak softly, and wield a very big stick". This was his technique for keeping enemies at bay.

America developing nukes hasn't stopped others from pursuing their own nuke programs; the justification is who dares fire one firsthuh If i know you're armed, and I feel like killing you, I'd (at best) ambush you after MUCH planning or have a  re-think, cos I might lose my own life or be seriously maimed in the process.

Moreover, gun legislation doesn't mean ANYONE can just walk into The Palms and pick one off the rack. I believe there are certain requirements that have to be met; can't see the majority of Nigerians spending that much money or time to acquire a glock.
PoliticsRe: CAN Wants Nigerians To Carry Arms (Religious Crisis) by darqly(m): 4:40pm On Feb 25, 2009
So, what do you advise CAN to do since the FG is plating deaf, dumb and blind; continue praying?
@nuzo- Not at all!! That time has passed. I practise my christianity with WISDOM. We cannot keep on thinking a dull, self-seeking government will protect our right to worship our God.

I'm with CAN on this issue; Govt to wake up to their responsibilities or empower us to protect ourselves and our rights.
PoliticsRe: CAN Wants Nigerians To Carry Arms (Religious Crisis) by darqly(m): 3:42pm On Feb 25, 2009
Well CAN is between the devil and the deep blue literally. Whilst I cannot and will not allow any heathen murderer slit my throat when he gets the sudden urge, I think legalizing guns will ruin Nigeria. We let corruption taint everything, imagine more wrong hands having access to guns; juveniles; jealous lovers; fed-up investors, Hell, I'll even buy one myself!!

I shudder at the thought. But, enough is enough. I guess moslems will mellow if they realize their 'sacrificial lambs' grew sabre-teeth overnight.
