philpwresh: Former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode, has insisted that former President Goodluck Jonathan was not weak or incompetent.
He was reacting to statements credited to the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB], Nnamdi Kanu
. “I do not believe that @GEJonathan was weak or incompetent. I believe that he is a profoundly good man and a courageous & exemplary leader,” Fani-Kayode wrote on his Twitter page.
Kanu had described Jonathan as a “weak and incompetent” President, who did nothing for the South East, even though the region claimed he was one of their own.

kolaaderin: Nigerian judiciary is the greatest evil that has ever happened to this country . we have lawyers and judges advocating for Satan. No matter how fantastic a case might look, they can still use the same law of the land to kick it to the dust bin at the right price.
Its a simple law in this country, if u want to steal, do it really big to settle the judiciary and move on with UR crime, else they would use u to do sentence training, there you will see maggi thief been sentenced to 40 years in kirikiri sorry is your case. I guess we need to start using juries to decide if a person is guilty or not and take that away from the judge or allow judges to be elected just like they do in some advanced countries. |

The official Twitter handle of the minister sent out a tweet saying, “I am happy that Igbos are gradually becoming insignificant in Nigeria financial system and before the nd of 2023 Igbos will be insignificant in South east and Nigeria in general.”
The tweet which went viral and attracted bashing to the minister has now been denied by her.
She said in a series of deserate tweet: “There's a fake Twitter post circulating in my name, suggesting that I said something derogatory about Igbos. Kindly disregard it.
“It's nothing but a shoddy attempt to photoshop a hateful statement onto my Twitter handle. I did not say or tweet any such thing. Thank you.
“Every part of Nigeria is important to our financial system & our Economy, and as a Govt we will support ALL to achieve their full potential.”
One is left to ponder which is true.

Business › Re: See Some Of Nigeria's Richest Men In One Photo by davidif: 11:31pm On Jun 26, 2017 |
knightsTempler: After independence, in order to build a great nation, each country went to work. But in Nigeria, after independence, our people went to pray and fast. So, while we were praying, Malaysia came here and took our palm seedlings and built a great factory of it. While we were praying, Singapore went into investment in technology. While we were praying, India went into ICT. While we were praying, China went to massive industrialization. While we were shouting Allah Alakuba! UAE went into massive infrastructural development. While we were binding and casting Lucifer, Japan went into technological development. While we were speaking in tongues, Denmark went into education of her citizens. While we were mounting big speakers in our places of worship, USA was mounting man on the moon. After our prayers, God, being a wise God decided to reward us according to our labour. Since those that went into industrialization, technology, infrastructural development, ICT, education etc have been rewarded accordingly. It's only wise God rewards us with our efforts in prayers. That's why today, Nigerian pastors are competing in building the biggest churches. That's why there are more prayer houses and worship places than hospitals and schools. That's why people rush to prayer houses for medical and business solutions instead of hospitals. That's why we don't do business proposals before jumping into business since we are going to back it up with prayers. And when it collapse, we blame devil. That's why it's a sin to say anything negative about pastors and imams. That's why our pastors don't consider the opinion of engineers while building and blame devil when building collapse. That's why faith in God replaces building pillars and when it collapse we blame it on Lucifer. That's why our pastors are making sure they plant church branches instead of schools in every streets in Nigeria. That's why we always wait for God to do that which ability to accomplish he has already handed over to us. That's why we want our teachers to labour on earth and go to heaven for their rewards. Nigeria is a prayer loving, God fearing nation. Religion has taken the place of technology, infrastructure, education and all. When we are traveling, we ignore all the necessary road requirements, servicing of our vehicles and pray. And, once we pray, we can put a half fit vehicle on the road and blame our step mother or mother in law if anything goes wrong. That's why there are more people dying on our roads. Because, we pray and fast and leave everything to God when God has given us all we need to survive and build a nation....... I hope it made sense to you.
N.b thank God for these industrialist they are trying their best to make our nation compete in the emerging economies of the world. There you go with your over-simplifications and misdiagnosis. Most of Nigeria's problems can be traced to the overthrow of the civilian govt by the military not because of praying or fasting. If the military had not overthrown the govt we won't have had multiple dictators who don't know how to run a country in charge of affairs for decades. This has nothing to do with religion bro. Stop diagnosing the wrong thing. |

Politics › Re: How Osinbajo ‘goofed’ On Nigeria Remaining Together – Niger Delta Monarch, Ayemi by davidif: 11:24pm On Jun 26, 2017 |
Agumbankembu: https://cdn1.dailypost.ng/wp-content/uploads/2017/06/Ayemi-Botu-1.jpg
Former national chairman, Traditional Rulers of Oil Producing Communities of Nigeria, TROMPCON, His Majesty, Charles Ayemi-Botu, has said the Acting President, Yemi Osinbajo “goofed by harping” on the Nigerian constitution to insist that the country remains an indivisible entity.
Ayemi-Botu, who is a paramount ruler of Siembiri Kingdom, Delta State, made the observation in Warri, when he played host to a delegation of the United States, US, Consulate, led by Paul Hines, Political and Economic Adviser to the Consul General, who visited to find out how Niger Delta communities were fairing under the leadership of Osinbajo.
According to Ayemi-Botu, “Acting President, Prof Yemi Osinbajo, harped on the indivisibility of Nigeria and the illegality of any opinion opposed to that based on the constitution.
“Without fear or favour, the Acting President goofed in that thinking. The constitution is dynamic and amenable to change. Buhari came to power promising change, and change we want.
“The 1914 – 2014 treaty of amalgamation of Nigeria by Lord Lugard is gone and expired. Added to the force of the 2014 confab and the glaring inequality among groups where Niger Delta, the goose that lays the golden egg, is perpetual second- class citizens, the indivisibility of Nigeria has become too shaky to tarry.
“Under the circumstance, the peaceful way to go is restructuring and the best tool to achieve that is referendum. That is why we call on the US and the developed West to prevail on Federal Government to allow referendum for people to fairly determine where they want to be.
“Individuals, groups and zones can raise sentiments, but oil, particularly the vast reserves in my Niger Delta, the economic live wire the entire nation survives on is the only unifying factor for sustained unified Nigeria. But for oil which makes up 98 per cent of Nigeria’s GDP, Nigeria would not have been.”
