Christianity EtcThat You Are Born Again Does Not Guarantee Answers To Prayers by dearie(op): 8:02pm On Aug 19, 2006
I just heard recently that God is not under any binding obligation to answer your prayer just because you are born again even when it is genuine and not aimed at attacking a fellow being.

This is hard to swallow and one hardly hears such msgs in our churches, or mosques and this is why people get frustrated after a prolonged prayer without answers, and resort to some other means. I feel we ought to know that it's not all prayers that can be answered, we shl just pray for God's will for us.

Do you think differently?
CareerRe: So A 2.2 With Mba Is Equivalent To A 2.1? by dearie(m): 6:53pm On Aug 19, 2006
@ Duttybarb,

Pardon me please, it appears you are at a loss with expressing yourself. I perfectly understand ur intended msg but you relayed a wrong message.

all the same, graduating with a 2.2 doesn't make u less a graduate, it's just that you may not find it as easy as ur 2.1 counterparts in getting that dream job. If u can afford a masters degree program immediately, of course it's advisable to go for it, especially if u r still scouting for a job, instead of wasting precious time.

Alternatively, you can identify with NGO's and spend ur time constructively b4 that job comes.
EducationRe: 6-9-3 Universal Basic Education (UBE) Scheme To Replace 6-3-3-4 by dearie(m): 5:11pm On Aug 19, 2006
Hey guys, lets slow down! I really do not know what to believe, but if it's been modified to 9-3-4, then I dont see any reason for the 'hues and cries'

It just simply means that the minimum qualification in Nigeria will be the Junior sec. sch. cert as against the pry. sch. leaving cert. as it is now.

But the 6-9-3 configuration is just condemnable!

I suppose u shl know better than judging an organisation by it's building.
get in first, and find out what the remuneration is like, and base ur judgement on that.

Jobs/VacanciesRe: Access Bank Medical Test by dearie(op): 6:27pm On Aug 17, 2006
Guy, I suppose they've dropped their discriminatory attitude of 2'1 and federal universities, but i could still be wrong.

However, the marketing position was open to 2'2 s and state University lads. Some of us are 2.2 grads and from state University.

So u can send ur application or call their HR for more confirmation.

Jobs/VacanciesRe: Kpmg Is Recruiting Graduate Trainee by dearie(m): 1:05pm On Aug 16, 2006
@ goergee,

I think 2.2 can apply, besides will it incommode you to apply? it's costs nothing, in the event that you are not called up for the test, you will lose nothing. Besides i know of a 2.2 that applied and got invited for a test, so send in your application. Al da best.
Jobs/VacanciesRe: Fcmb Interview Results by dearie(m): 12:55pm On Aug 16, 2006
@ Odapo,

Learn how to be appreciative of favours, what God deserves from you at this material time is your appreciation and praises and not complains. Do you realise that there might have been pple better than you that even fasted and prayed about it, but never got thru with the job you are nagging over.

20k is just for the duration of the training, thereafter you'll get a far better package.

just concentrate and ensure you do well at the training school, because, you are just one leg in-one leg out, if u mess up, I'm sure you'll be shown the way out.

Even Access bank does the same, so just be appreciative to God.

al da best.

Sequel to the interview that took place on saturday, 12th August, 2006, with the bank's erudite, agile, handsome and very young looking M.D, letters of medical test have been issued to the successful applicants, and I suppose that in no time, the main letters will be issued.

Good luck to ya guys.

I'm curiously waiting on what the nature of the job, and the remuneration will look like.
Jobs/VacanciesRe: My Leadway Interview Experience. by dearie(m): 11:14am On Aug 16, 2006
How sweet! It's nice that nairalanders fraternize any time they are in a gathering of sort.

I hope others take a cue from this. it isn't a bad idea to talk to someone at a test/interview venue about nairaland and seeking to introduce urself if he/she is already a nairalander, that way we become closer and more enthusiastic about this forum.

congrats to the potential leadway marketers. Wish you all da best.,

Jobs/VacanciesRe: I Got A Job At Diamond Bank by dearie(m): 11:03am On Aug 16, 2006
Congrats guy, ensure you remit the part that that belongs to God in ur salary. Need i say more? You are a new comer here, so ur oversight is understandable. Since you knew you had no intention of disclosing your details as to how u clinched the job, u needed not to have mentioned it, cos pple will always ask questions.

Al da best ma guy. take care.
Jobs/VacanciesRe: Oceanicbank Medical by dearie(m): 10:55am On Aug 16, 2006
Congrats Guys! Oceanic is reputed for such delays in their recruitment, so no surprises at-all. The medical thing is as good as the offer-letter so long as there's 'no long-thing'. So when una go start to pop the wine, make una no 4get us for nairaland. Oceanic pay is very good, and i can assure you that it's worth all the wait.

What do you mean by those who meet the requirement? the 2-1 thing? omo na ya wa for 2-2s be that o? and it appears going to gate-crash in Benin wouldn't be a good idea, considering the distance.

well, lets watch and see as things unfold.

EducationBetween American And British Universities by dearie(op): 5:23pm On Aug 06, 2006
Please guys, I'm lost here!, if you have an opportunity to travel to both Britain and the USA for your Masters degree, with the mind of coming back to Nigeria to work, where would you go?

Between an average American University and British university, which do think employers will be more disposed to favouring?
Though pple believe British universities are highly sought after, but the cost of running such programs is really scaring me.

Please what do you advise?
