Compared to their foriegn counterparts, do you think Nigerian men are romantic enough? How romantic are they? Pls what figure would you rate them? 100%? 95%? 22%? 50%? 10%? ![]() ![]() ![]() ?? |
@ rich olly, Na wa for you o! What do you mean by having soles made of iron ? What if they are made of stone? ![]() Please guys dont be discouraged, you know 'nothing ventured-nothing gained'. I may not like marketing, but if you've got flair for it, you can make millions monthly! So just be diligent in your work. ALL DA BEST! |
Yorubas' have a saying that hard work is not necessarily directly proportional to wealth, May God not make us workaholics. Ise ko ni owo, Ki olorun Ma se wa ni oni ise. Is my translation wrong? Mind you? I'm not Yoruba. |
@duttybarb, I need no seer to tell me the kind of person you are! I'll pray you grow up the pleasant way, and not painstakingly. I know of an intelligent person 'like you' that gets invited to all the tests in Nigeria because the course she studied is a hot cake and she finished with a good result from a reputable institution, but till date, she's still at home. I dont pray for such fate for you, but ur posts, laced with invectives and utter disregard for your fellow graduates might 'stand' against you. If you keep using offensive words here, you may never get any response from anyone. You better be wise, and seek ur attention in a cultured manner. |
I had to 'make a fist' to keep from responding to your hurls of insult on our dear job-seekers in your previous posts until your confession to 'get noticed' it really worked for you cos u got noticed, but man it was quite expensive, WELL, i CAN HEAVE A SIGH OF RELIEF NOW. I need not further make u feel like a superstar by 'dignifying' you with an answer. The testimonies of current job-holders that started with gate-crashing at the test venues, say it all. Please, you can gate crash, but I'll implore us not to allow ourselves be rubished by security men, you can study the environment and act accordingly. |
If it happens that your Mum and Spouse are critically ill and have got just a few minutes to live except you pay a sum of money which is just enough to save one person, besides time is so unfriendly that it's only one person that can be saved. Who would you save? and why? |
Kitaun has expressed my mind on this issue. I believe 85% of agencies that request for money under the cloak of registration or otherwise are fake. So take extra-time to investigate such cases b4 you part with that money, it may not cost you anything to part with the money, but the effect is that it'll encourage them to stay on. So lets KICK THEM OUT! |
I agree with the previous posts, but the peculiarity of Lagos and other big cities is what is adding to the problem, in other cities, it is better. My advice to young ladies is get the job, work for 2 or 3 years and move to another sector, if you dream of being addressed 'MRS' in life, this depends on your fiance though. Guys, stress or no-stress, the banking sector is growing bigger by the day, if the ladies are complaining, will you too? grab that offer and give your family a lift. Frankly, i dont envy bankers at all, given the workload and time-of-work, but i dont mind starting off in a bank, then moving to any other sector or starting my biz, with the wealth of experience garnered, |
Recently someone slammed with a question that got me biting my finger without an answer and i thought I should just throw it open. How far can you go for your spouse of girl/boy friend in a terrible situation? Die for him/her if 'swap-able'? Go to jail for 20 years for her/him? Donate your kidney for her/him? Or simply watch him or her suffer the fate? |
@ Babycool, That was unnecessarily malicious of you. Please take no offence, no one is an island of knowledge, so i'll suppose you take it 'in one stride',and sheathe the sword. @ Tonisafe, I admire you the more for the maturity you've displayed over this issue, I'm sure you know my position. Pls dont be discouraged from sharing your opinion, this further confirms our diversity, and the truth is, in it lies our strength, we disagree to agree. Remember one of the qualities you need, to be a good neighbour is tolerance, so abeg try buy more shock absorbers, cos we all need them. I still solidarize with you on your observation. @ Kitaun, why e com be say dis thing wan pitch me against you. I perfectly understand your disposition, but i'm afraid you got me wrong. Anyway, I suppose it's a forgone issue now and that we've all learnt from it. We still be paddy shey? that's what makes the world go round. Please, my apologies to toni if she's cross with me over this issue. she should know i admire her a lot. @ Nunu Though I have my reservations, but here is an extended arm of friendship !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Did you catch it? I thot as much. @Nairalanders, Please I wish i could pacify all agrieved parties on this issue, it wasn't meant to tear us apart, Please let's take it as a mere observation that it is and act accordingly. We are a family here, and when anything goes wrong, we learn from it, then put it behind us, that's the spirit. God bless us all. |
Recently n my church, we had a hectic time, discussing this issue. and as expected there were pple throwing their weights on both sides of the divide. Just posting it here to seek a broader- scale opinion. |
@ Nunu, I'm suprised that even when you didnt leave out the part that says 'just my opinion' in my first quote, you went ahead to challenge it. my opinion remains my opinion, i wasn't trying to impose it on anyone, it was strictly how i felt. Pls lets learn not to overheat these things. The msg has been relayed and i'm as well supportive, so lets rest it, b4 we start building up hard feelings. |
Can there ever ever be a lasting panacea to the AIDS pandemic, is it possible that the cure be found someday? going by the reports that the virus assume different form and traits every now and then, makes it very diificult to tame. We just have to be hopeful anyway! |
My candid advice is that you shl try to get her talk to you, let her feel the gravity of the feelings you have for her, and see if she'll budge, but if she remains adamant, i 'll rather you give her some more time- maybe 2 months break, perhaps there is something scare about her that she knows will bump you off the moment you hear it. |
ladies, How would you react when a friend you dont fancy enough for marraige takes you out, draws on the attention of a mammoth crowd, and proposes to you, asking you to be his wife, in the full glare of everyone, being the cynosure of their attention, even goes as far as ensuring there is a live telecast beaming the show, you know the kind that happens when the president or governor wants to read the budget. Would you turn him down, or abe moved by his innovation and accept his proposal? |
Whatever happened to the duo of bro's keke and Id's former AIT jamz now primetime jamz. Yeah we know they are promoters of 2face, but it appears they are saying to the rest 'go to hell' . Besides the whole 2face thing is beginning to bore one. fine he's good, is that why we cant see any other thing safe for the repetition all the time? Abeg make una return glory to that programme o. |
hey! Soundcity seems to be enjoying massive viewership in lagos, and i think they are doing just fine. Do you think they can give us what channel O does in south africa or EATV in tanzania? |

Do Nigerians studying abroad get better results than their foriegn counterparts academically? Why do you think this is so? what factors account for this? |
is it possible to have someone on ur payroll, yet the person is richer than you are? What are the possibilities if they exist? |
A lot of people believe that those with lofty dreams must be employers of labour or business men,and not be employees, that so long as you earn salaries, there is a limit to how much you can acquire (in properties) and how far you can go (in Status). Do you think it is true? |
JURM is an indian film, it's one film too captivating, suspense-filled and full of intrigues!! It will keep u on the edge of ur seat from the first picture to the last. It centres on friendship, marriage and betrayal. I have never been a fan of indian films until recently. they are very good, little wonder why they are second behind hollywood. Indian films are the BOMB! |
It's the happiness that fosters unity in our diversity. Thank God for Nigeria. |
Is it wrong for churches to wed couples with pregnant brides? Most churches condemn it, and will never wed such couples, but some churches condone it and only wields a punishment of a pink-coloured wedding gown instead of the customary white for brides. What's your take on this. |
A reverend Father (Catholic priest) in his slip, 'met' with a woman and that resulted into a baby boy. though the priest immediately repented and was re-admitted and since then he'd been straight in his calling. Now the church discovers the baby boy, what do u expect the leadership of the church to do? Shl he lose his calling as a priest and marry his sons' mother, or remain a priest with his son that will soon be revealed to the congregation. is he really worthy of remaining a priest after the defilement? Please ur suggestions! |
I would have said' I CRY FOR NIGERIA' but i know i shl be laughing instead., When a thieving elder stateman has declared his intention to further loot us blind, in an era we can comfortably describe as a new dawn! Dan Etete remains a goner even now that he's back. He sure cant oust the incumbent and will never be able to get that sit even at the expiration of the incumbents tenure, so there's no case about him. It's already decided. |
@ Revolution, Shl i remind you that this is nigeria? and u know how things run in this country. Moreso, I would have to 'bite my tongue to keep from asking you if you have any information on the antecedent of the person in question' Pls! Whoever made this calculation for him ought to be returned to secondary school. the only face-saving thing he can do is to bow out gracefully from politics and become a neutral person so that his next generation will not be smeared with the stains of this disgraceful act. |
@ Kuntakinte, TRUE TALK! |
@ Kitaun, I still maintain that Tonisafe's tone was harsh, though right on her observation. Would you agree with me that tones could give ambiguous meanings to simple statements? Without unnecessarily repeating what some persons have said, the NGO posting was perfectly in tune with this thread on job seeking.A lot of people live on Humanitarian services as their source of livelihood. Who says that sector cant get some job-seekers conveniently off the labour market, If well organised, most of us would be running after the NGOs'. Pls, lets keep enjoying this 'facility' as a people with a united front. ONE LOVE ALL. |
na wa 4 the content of una argument! Just try scaling thru the preliminary tests and if u cant swim, u have sometime to start learning now. The relevance or not shl not be an issue, even without being interested in the Navy it's advisable to learn how to swim! |
