Car Talk › Re: Help! My Car Is Always At The Mechanic by deavicky(m): 2:55pm On May 07, 2023 |
Labragadaya: I bought a 2002 Toyota Camry as my first car in October and for the first 2-3 months the car performed pretty well.
However lately, from January it has been one problem to the other.
From overheating to coil problem to spark plug problem and others.
The recent issue with the car is that the car doesn’t hold slow anymore.
That is the car goes off at slow speeds. I’ve changed coil, changed spark plug, ringed engine twice all to no avail.
This has caused a huge hole in my pocket as I’ve even had to borrow to pay for some of these repairs.
Just yesterday in a bid to resolve this issue, I took the car to another mechanic and he told me my engine block had washed and that even if he grinded the valve the holding slow issue won’t stop. I inquired about the cost of replacing the block and purchase alone was close to a 100 thousand. I’m just tired and frustrated, I need advise, do I sell the car or do I repair this?
Is this mechanic trying to extort me. Experience car users please advise you had already started the race so u can five up half way. Just buy tokunbo engine and have small peace. |

CuriousCart: I owe you one. Like what voltage do you think can fry appliances? that thing will not work ur generator is designed not to exceed 240v or max 260v and most appliances can still accommodate the voltage surge to that amount, except ur generator it is a 3 phase generator then u can send 2 life to his apartment instead of one life and neutral. |

beekind: I am a 38 year old Nigerian American citizen dating a 26 year old Nigeria girl. I grew up in Nigeria but travelled out to the USA when I was 25 years old, I am a citizen now and doing really well for myself. I met a beautiful and godly Nigerian girl on facebook and we have been dating for some months now we are now thinking of marriage, she is in Nigeria while I am in the USA.
Some weeks ago my dad asked me to do some tests and send to him, (He is a medical doctor), I did them, turns out to be fertility tests and all was perfect. I just told him about my fiance and my plans to get married in some months time and he said she has to do fertility test before he can agree to the marriage.
This was very shocking for me as he insisted that it is his position, I haven't told my fiance cos I dont know how to and my fiance is scheduled to pay my parents a visit for the first time in Port Harcourt in 2 weeks time. My fiance is from Delta but lives in Portharcout as my parents while we are from Port harcourt.
My dad has said if I cannot tell her that he will, what do you guys think ?
Honest advise please and admin kindly push to front page for wider advise.
Thanks. tell her that both of u need to a fertility test simple. Do not make know or feel is ur dad's idea |

aloma007: Well, I converted to Christianity three years ago and hasn't still got a job and hates going to the church due to my financial ability. it is so worse that I don't always have t-fare. The crossover service of the year 2023 is one to remember. The church sold out calendars and stickers and one of the church ushers approached me to buy which I declined and she later came to tell me on different occasions to have it & pay later and its only me that understands my ability but I lastly bowed to respect myself.
The following midweek service I sincerely went with the money hoping to do a transfer but she didnt come & I returned home. The way she reacted that weekend when I told her I don't have it instantly but I don't want to hide under it to stay away from the church service., Men, I was ashamed of myself physically. Embarrassment isn't about wordings alone bro. and to come compound my situation, I never paid that money till date cos I dont have it and my reason to stop attending the church for now. how much are the item. |

What else? I was invited to jehovah witness service on a faithful evening, when I got in, I was ushered to the front, seated on the first row and the first column. It's was now time for communion, the usher brought it to my front and he stood there for some good number of seconds like I was supposed to take it so he can move to the next person. My brother man, I ignorantly took the bread only to discover that I was the only one who took it in a congratulation of over 2000. I felt like eveporating. To make matter worse, was when they brought the wine. this time I couldn't take it because the whole congregation had their eyes on me to see the only righteous man in their church. |

THEbaddest007: I am currently a student in one of the best federal University in Nigeria. My current cgpa is 4.63 and I got it without any form of malpractice aka expo. I achieved it with hardwork and dedication. I am not boasting in any way but I am trying to build the confidence of average students that they can get an excellent result without engaging in any form of malpractice or looking for short cut to pass. What they need to do is to work very hard and be fully dedicated to their studies. And lastly, school is not a scam because lots of great men have benefited from it. Great men like Peter obi, chukwuma soludo, wole soyinka, yemi osinbajo. Na so you forgot to mention Buhari. School in Nigeria is different from every other part of the world. If u match the number of rich men in Nigeria u will find out that the once without a degree more than the later. |
