Meanwhile, you would notice that there is another person displaying his or her wares behind her. If you are a man and you are that person behind her, what would you do? Will you tell her to adjust her panties and stand the risk of being embarrassed by her or will you just ignore and stand the risk of being distracted? Especially if you were fasting.

BobUg28: Its amazing how most Nigerians act sometimes. They tend to make out problem from what seemed not to be one. Trump said he will evict migrants from the states if elected the US president in one of his campaign promise.
Common sense should have informed Prof that such comments from Trump is a calculated gimmicks to garner the votes of most American Racists.
We agree that Trump is uncouth, radical and name it.. but that's was what sailed him. Remember, this was his first time in the game of politics, he need to make controversial statements that will leave his name in the lips of most Americans . Well, to some extent, you are right but what I feel is that Trump MIGHT perfect his campaign promise in that regard. Remember, he said, we will get the Africans out, not the blacks. This means he acknowledges all ethnicity in America, not just indigene Americans or whites. Analytically, if he decides to, he has succeeded in evicting only a few which in any case wouldn't tilt the economic, social or political activity significantly too. Now the fear of many migrants is that: his followers would capitalize on the president's policy/actions to treat most migrants with disdain and you know what that means; the government's unserious attention to such. |

Properties › Re: House Hunting Is More Stressful Than Husband Hunting by decub: 7:48am On Nov 12, 2016 |
Naijasinglegirl: Especially when you are working with a location, time and limited budget. At least with husband hunting, my horizon is expanded. I’m not bound by location, a lot of criteria and I don’t have a December deadline.
I digress.
I get informed of a house today and by morning, its already taken. It appears everyone in Lagos is house hunting.
paid an agent who presented me with four options this week. I was taken to the first one, a self contained in a new building. I feel in love with the place once I stepped inside. It is like a white-space room. The room is big, kitchen is spacious, bathroom/toilet is sparkling clean and the proximity to the road was very encouraging. It is a house I would look forward to coming home everyday.
I was already imagining giving my friends directions there, cooking, setting up my study in one corner, recording snapchat videos and all sorts.
Sadly, the rent is 150K more than my projected budget, excluding agreement and agency fees.
The second house was formerly a guest house- the one they call slaughter-house, meaning different people have probably had loads of sxx in my room. I felt the spirit of sxx hovering in the compound. I wasn’t even shown inside because it was locked but I saw a g-string hanging from the bathroom window. A product of a quick romp perhaps?
The compound looked really secured which is a plus but the guest house retained their in-house bar and I don’t know if I would be able to live or sleep by a bar. One of the reasons I am looking to move is have some peace and quiet. What if a regular of the bar gets drunk one night and come banging with a woman by my door, forgetting the guesthouse is no longer available? Or a fight breaks out between two drunk guys?
The third house was within my budget, way lower even. It is a self contained situated in a three storey building, like those hostels in Ekosodin. Compound was like a LAWMA branch. The kitchen was separated from the room and bathroom but on the same lobby as if the three rooms are quarrelling. I would even have to share the kitchen with another tenant. I was already imagining conversations like,
“Who stole two pieces of shaki from my pot of soup?” “My maggi cubes have been reducing since Wednesday” “My pot was not this black when I left house.” “Who touched my garri? Do you know how much garri cost?” “Goodmorning, it is my turn to use the kitchen for pounded yam today.”
The tap was rusty with cobwebs. It appeared the last time water flowed was when Donald Trump was shooting season1 of The Apprentice.
The toilet was monochrome in colour, the black from old shit. It is a house I would stagger in crying at 11:45pm and gladly leave by 5:30am.
The fourth house was the second floor of a two storey building. Even though it was obviously free of witchcraft, I refused to look it. First, there were touts sitting by the crooked gate. Then the house was surrounded by a church left, right, front and behind. Four churches fam! One had fire in the name. Would I ever sleep with all the casting of demons and vigil nights from Monday to Sunday?
The impression the first building had on me ruined the other three. I really cannot wait to get settled cos I haven’t a day of proper rest for two weeks now. Pray for me.
http://www.naijasinglegirl.com/house-hunting-lagos-update/ My dear, I spent close to 10k on agents just to get a decent house. The location wasn't my choice though but the house is worth it. Worst of it is that you will explain your preference to them and they will still take you to a direct opposite just to justify the registration fee they charged you. |

samuel19222: Guys please beware of this guy kelvin briggs on bbm, that is his pin (2967A0F4) I don't know where he got my bbm pin from, all of a sudden he said we should talk on skype and I told him my phone don't have front camera, so he said if he send me a mobile phone which support skype we can both chat, I said yeah, and he also ask me what else do I need apart from the phone I said a laptop and he promise to send to nigeria because he stay in NORWICH, UK, so yesterday on sunday 5/7/2015 he message me on bbm to inform me that he have already sent it through british airways world cargo and he also include the sum of 900 pounds, inside me I was happy that I have seen a maga not knowing I was going to be the maga, I told him to send me the tracking number so I can track the movement of my items, then he told me no need because they cargo company said it going to take 24 hours to reach nigeria, he gave me the company nigeria customer service number so I can call them and collect my items. This morning I received a phone call asking me if am the owner of the item, I reply yes and I was ask to call out the identification Number on the waybill which the guy (kelvin briggs) sent to me on bbm, after that I was ask to come to their office at abuja for my parcel, I told them I can't come to abuja for now, I ask them to send it to me here in lagos they said I will have to pay the sum of #7500 before they can send it down here, I told them that I have a brother there at abuja so he will help me to pick it up, they told me it's not possible that am to sign a document myself. As a lagos guy I google search the name kelvin briggs, which I saw a thread here on nairaland about the same guy, I just wanna warn my fellow nairalander to beware of this scammer. Thank you so much for this. Mine started this way: One Amanda Smith sent me a request on Facebook and after a week of neglect, I decided to accept her request. We started chatting and she asked for a date which I accepted. We explained ourselves better and as soon as she told me she is a Briton, I went back to her grammar which doesn't depict that of a typical English lady. That was the beginning of my doubt, however, I gave her the benefit of doubt but played along with caution. Next, she wanted us to chat on ichat and the first thing that came to my mind was...ichat! That's obsolete but I told her I don't use Apple anyway but we can chat on Skype. She declined and offered to send me a Laptop. Well, I didn't mind and she asked what else I would like her to include. Of course I don't need anything more so I sticked with the laptop. Another error; a typical Briton that is a natural miser send you an Apple laptop where there is no commitment! You must be joking. I waited for about 8 hours without response so I asked her for her phone number so I could call her when I need us to chat or hear her voice...no reply on that. Fast forward to 48 hours later, she wrote that she has sent it with the details I gave her and an attachment. Added with Laptop is an iPhone 6 and 900 pounds. That they told her the parcel will arrive in 6-8hours time. 10hrs after our chat, an SMS came that the parcel has arrived. Note, sender isn't customized and I was like, as big as British Airways is, they can't customize their line. Well, I decided to give them a call and guess what, the recipient manipulated the voice using the phone's voice changer. After some phone talks, I hung up and thought; why would a Lagos bound parcel be delivered to Abuja and I have to pay to get it to Lagos...In fact, the guy is a learner cos all stages were faulty. |

yissi: Good morning house!
We would be building a house starting from next week. This is the plan the architect drew for me for a four bedroom bungalow. This bungalow will serve as my main residential house.
As they say, two heads are better than one. I would like the house and experts to criticize this plan and offer their views and ideas.
Thanks Personally, I have a problem with the overall design because the house is too rectangular to proffer a better shape. How many cars do you intend to park there? If not much, you need to reshape the design first. The length of that lobby makes it difficult for natural light to illuminate and the place will somewhat become dark after 3metres. People have talked about the kitchen position which is non ideal. If you have limited land space, you can reduce the number of rooms to 3 to make the overall building more airy, or better still, forget or disconnect the shop from the main building. |
Family › Re: My Wife Spat On My Face This Morning, What Should I Do? by decub: 8:05am On Sep 13, 2016 |
nameerfhtennek: It's more than 20minutes, I'm still unable to put words together to begin this story. I will try keep it simple and necessarily detailed so everyone will understand the true picture of what happened, why against my belief that writing personal experiences on social media is immature, I had to still write mine. Let's just say I'm not thinking right now, maybe I'm so upset but truth is, I need your advice.
I'm writing this thread seated at the back of a Hilux truck just outside our apartment. Yaa, that me in the picture. You see, today is EID and believe me I should be resting in the house since I'm not working today. Days like this only come by 6times in a whole year and more than anything, I would have loved resting than being out here.
It was yesterday evening, she called and said she her driver were headed to my office. She wanted to pick some stuffs around my office. Yaa, I forgot to say this is Saudi Arabia. If you know Saudi quite well, you will agree with me that a husband will definitely get exhausted running errands for his wife or the family. I was not in the mood for shopping but she wanted to shop. She got upset that I didn't want to accompany her shopping.
She did her shopping alone and returned few minutes before I closed from work. We headed home. Unknown to me, I forgot my internet router in my office because I was rushing to get home and continue with my FIFA 16. Her internet service expired some days back so we were using mine.
While playing game, she walked into the seating room and demanded for my router. Mine, not hers. With her tone and facial expression demanding the router, I didn't respond because there was an indication that she was warming up for a quarrel. I wasn't just in the mood. The thing is, she is very skilled in extending her anger phases. That is one thing I can't understand till today. Believe me, it was not like this while we were dating. Sorry, I forgot to tell you I married my university girlfriend, she years my junior and the same department. Ya, I'm one of those guys that dated and planned for the future with their girls at the same time. God blessed that plan but at this point I don't understand everything that has been happening for the past one year plus since we got married. She repeatedly demanded that I handed over my router to her but I was quiet. Meanwhile, it occurred to me that I forgot the router in my office the minute she first asked about it. Truth is, I actually needed to use the internet that night for my online FIFA.
After several times of asking for the router and no response from me, she took the TV remote and switched off the TV. She walked straight to the kitchen and hid the remote. I approached her in the kitchen and told her I was not ready for any kinda quarrel. We have had enough for the past one year of getting married. I then told her I forgot the router in my office, I didn't have it. I guess she didn't believe me, she never did. She told me to leave her alone. I returned back to the seating room with my heart beating fast. I knew she wanted a serious quarrel that night. After some minutes, I returned to the kitchen and requested for the remote. Then I figured out she hid it in her pant. Pretending I was passing by, I swiftly went for the remote from under her short gown and grabbed it. She didn't expect I knew where she hid it. She followed me behind and ceased the game console, second indication she wanted me to react. I do have a problem with my temper just like every human, male or female. I have also learnt to deal with it by walking away at times I feel I was going to lose it. The same reason I'm outside at this time, 9:55 pm Saudi time. She knows I have fought hard to tame my temper issues but most times, she makes deliberate efforts to have me overreact to her nags and rants.
I watched her hide the console in her pant yet again. I shuddered in obvious fear because I knew what the woman wanted, a fight. Unable to deal with it,the intimidation and the shame, I went for the console and squeezed it out from her hand while she was trying to hold it tight. That was when the trouble then started. She wanted a buffer to help her spill everything she had nursed in her mind. "You are a violent person!! You can kill, idiot!! You were not shown love by your parents, that is why you will squeeze your wife's hand to collect the console. They allowed you to grow up in the street without parental guidance and love." Then it came....pwaaaaaaah!!! She spat on my face!!!!! God knows, I have never been spat at before, not by my parents, not by my siblings, not by anybody. " I agree I was not shown love by my parents but your Dad is a coward for running away from your mother without being there for you guys when he needed to play his roles as a father. That explains the reason you are like this", I said and walked back to the seating room.
I managed to play a few games which I lost mostly and then slept off around past 5am this morning. Around 3pm, I woke up and went to the office. Not like I had work but I needed to clear my head away from the house. If only there was alcohol in Saudi, I would have been somewhere in a hotel drinking away the shame. When I returned home by past 7pm, hungry and tired. I needed to continue my game but I could no longer find the game console and the TV remote. I asked for it and she ignored me. I managed to eat and then left the house to this truck.
You see, I love my wife more than anything, more than anyone. She is one person in the whole world I could go any length for. I love her, that was why I forgave her when she broke up with me after I left Nigeria for Saudi Arabia. She broke up with me few months after I came to Saudi and started dating another guy twice her age. She says she never expected I would come back to her after she left me but I did. I did because I saw a future with her, a future I imagined, believed in and worked towards its reality. Today we have gotten to a level where most people out there would want to be, our colleagues envy is because they believe we are privileged and blessed but what they don't know is that in the truth, I have no peace. This marriage has become my legacy and my curse.
I want to send her back to Nigeria in few days time and I hope I'm not making a mistake!!! Spitting on my face, nah nah....am so fed up!!!! I love one thing u did; keeping cool. I think you know this lady more than any other person, having been with her back then in school, off school and off the country so u can explain HER better. I don't know what may have been going on before the recent incident but if I can read her, she easily jumps into conclusion, just like an average woman. The moment you kept calm immediately she asked of the router sent a signal to her; he doesn't wanna give me. And you know, a lot of women always feel cheated. Of course hers has expired, you've not renewed and yet, you wanna deny her online presence. Hiding the console/remote was her own best way to make you feel same way she felt and just like a typical woman, retaliate. I don't know if I'm wrong but I think she loves you too. Just look for the best of time, sit her down, remind her of old times and how far you've come, tell her you don't wanna fight again and reassure your love to her. I believe it will be rekindled. |

And stop giving ladies your number. Nice talk somehow but, a lady that is interested in you would get your number BAM. Secondly, you might give someone ur contact not because u wanna keep female folks but because there's need for it at that point in time (probably business/official) and find her crushing on you. Also, I know he has talked it out with her; not once. I think the institution called marriage is gradually failing in most homes and a lot of extra marital affairs are already on. Family › Re: The Son My Late Dad Had Out Of Wedlock Locked My Mum Out Of Our House, Pls Advis by decub: 4:52pm On Jul 28, 2016 |
Agunna1: Lawyers Please Help A Depressed Soul: What Does The Law Say?
I am a known and regular commenter on Nairaland, I created this account just for this. Hear my story.
My dad died few years ago and in my house we are all girls. My dad has a boy (now a married man) whom he gave birth to when he was very young out of wedlock from another woman before marrying my mum. Meanwhile the boy grew up in our house, we didn't even know he wasn't our blood brother until I finished secondary school, to show you how tight the relationship was. Before my dad died from his sickness, the boy started acting up, giving people the impression that there is trouble in the family because he is from another woman, even during my dad's burial, well that's a story for another day.
My dad has only one house, 2 - 3 bedroom semi-detached flats. We are staying in one of the flats even before my dad died. Now, as my mum traveled and came back, the boy has padlocked the flat we are staying and rented the other flat to an unknown tenant.
Traditionally, they say women do not have a share in the property of a man. This traditional law does it include my mum who has been staying in that house with her husband before his death? Now, does it mean my mum and my remaining single sister ( we are all married except her) are not going to enter the house in which we have been staying over the years? Does he want my mum to stay in the bush or what? Please, what does the Law say about this type of issue? What does the Igbo traditional law and the English law say about this?
My mum never wanted to make any form of trouble initially but I think this is the height of the whole thing, and we are now ready to go to any length he wants us to go to.
Please Lawyers do you advise my mum to go to court? If the case is in the Law court, are they going to seal off the house knowing fully well that is where my mum stays?
Mods, please help move to front page. We need urgent advice asap. Interested lawyers should please contact me. Well, certain cultures and traditions are much stronger than what is conventional. I will advise you take this to your paternal uncles, if it's where I come from, your uncles would fight for your mum and I can assure you, the fact that your mum didn't give birth to a male child is a full assurance the youths would treat the guy's fk up in their own way, at least I've witness similar case that the youths had to force the guy on exile. However, there are communities where village heads, youth leaders are more corrupt than Chinese phone's memory cards and if that's the case with yours, seek legal redress. Let's pause and think, what if you ladies turn the table around and claim you don't know him as your father's child? Our dad only told us he was trying to help a poor boy who needed one. That would be wicked though but if your story is true, then he deserves it cos real men don't INHERIT properties, they OWN properties. |
Romance › Re: If Your Boyfriend Does This Don't Marry Him by decub: 10:15am On Jul 20, 2016 |
bstringz: Some days ago, we posted an article titled “If your girlfriend does this don’t marry her” and we highlighted some signs that, your current girlfriend is not a wife material… We are not selfish people, so we don’t wanna focus on our ladies alone. Let us turn the spot light to our men too. Some men are “husband material” once you meet them and date them, in a few months into the relationship you would already know that this one can be a husband. However on the flip side. There are some men that are bombs waiting to explode and if you are blindly inlove with them and marry them. Then you are In for shit. But because we @truenaijayarn are loving people and wouldn’t want any of our readers to end up in bad marriages we would take the time out to highlight some signs in a man that if a lady sees, she should run as fast as her legs can carry her.
1.HE LOVES TO SLEEP:Real men are made at night. If you are currently seeing a guy and he boldly tells you “Babe everyday I sleep by 9pm” you had better call that off. Unless you wanna feed him for the rest of your life. Even dangote, the richest man in Africa hardly sleeps at night. Then your boyfriend who isn’t the 10,000th man in his community, sleeps by 9pm everyday.
2.HE FLIRTS:Even when you are walking with him and a girl passes him. He would turn around and steal a glance at that Ass. Your are busy saying “he’s a man, all men cheat” you better call it off.. Cos you are dating a cheetah, and he would soon run and leave you.
3.HE SPENDS ALL DAY ON THE INTERNET:Internet is cool. But when you have a boyfriend and whenever you Come online on whatsapp he’s there, Facebook he’s online, 2go he’s online, Twitter… Is he omnipresent? If he’s not working or making money with all those, then cut that relationship off.
4.A PERVERT:Everytime you guys talk…. He’s asking for your nudes. And tells you that if you don’t send it to him. He would get it from another girl. Funny, a lot of girls would foolishly send. Even after he marries you, a perv would always be a perv.
5.NO FUTURE AMBITION(NFA):You have asked him what his plans for his life and the relationship was… And he said “baby let’s roll with the flow, let tommorrow handle itself” this may sound cool. But it’s not. This is indeed a very Red Light. Unless you wanna beg with your lover at Ikeja cross over, you better run for your life.
6.HE TALKS TOO MUCH:Yea you may say “ah ah is talking bad?” no. Talking in itself isn’t bad. But it becomes bad when all a man does is talk. A man should be cool, calm and collected. When your man talks even more than you, then you need to back off. Unless he’s a TV presenter, then it’s cool.
7.DOESN’T SAVE:I know the girls wants a guy that would spend money on them, buy them clothes, shoes and all that. It’s good if he has a sure and steady income flow. But it is outrageous if he is still coming up in life and all he does is spend money either on you or himself. Teach him to save. Don’t be selfish especially when he’s spending on you.
8.VERY MATERIAL:If he is the kinda guy that wants to wear the latest shoes, shirts and have an iPhone6. Then you better rethink that relationship, if you marry him, you may not eat at home but you guys would have the latest LG plasma TV!For no reason, don’t get married to a man who is overly attached to material things.
9.HAS NO FAITH/BELIEF:This means, don’t marry a liberalist. A man must have a foundation on a faith or belief system. If your current boyfriend is the “anything goes” kinda guy. Maybe the day he slaps you he would say “anything goes”

Source;Www.truenaijayarn.com Nice write up but perhaps you need to rephrase No 1. It should have been; those who sleep more than 6 hours per day. Prior to residing in Lagos, I sleep before 9PM(at most) and wake up by 3:00AM. It is Lagos that changed me into sleeping after 11PM which of course affects my wake up time and productivity. The way you train yourself matters most and personally, my best time is the early hours of the day as I get worn out late night and can't even concentrate on anything once it is past 9PM, especially figures. Just to add, having worked with highly ambitious men, I have discovered that they are unique on their own even though there are similarities in their behaviours. Funny enough, I have worked with a boss(a big shot at that), he sleeps in the mid-morning and you can imagine what kinda successful man he is-not to worry, he lived most of his productive live in New York and has adapted to that lifestyle. |

The man knows the place is wired from the way he was staring at the camera. What I think is that those might be backed up IP cameras while he thinks he has isolated the power source. |
