There is no perfect constitution. Let us stop talking and start working! We do not need a better document but a better life (quoting Fashola, 2012. Who will sit down in that so called conference or sovereign conference? The same wasteful and wasted wicked political class? I bet you, they will just award money to themselves, TALK TALK for six months and travel abroad afterwards to buy new houses! |
Once a militant...... |
Nigeria should be looking at hosting some of those meetings and attracting visitors here, but cannot happen with all the insecurity in the country. Labaran Maku should listen to himself. May be it is even better for GEJ to stay permanently in London Hilton with all his 10,000 aides and run Nigeria from there! |
Obinoscopy: There's no evidence, no pix, no nothing. Even if you call in Lagos traffic fm 96.1 as witness during the trial, they will recant their statement. Even dailypost will deny ever posting it on their siteHer conscience is the primary evidence. If at all the story is true I believe she will not go on to deny it. She is afterall not the driver and cannot be liable. We only expected that at her level she should not have allowed that height of indiscipline and lawlessness. |
I HOPE IT IS NOT TRUE. ANYWAY, WITH ALL THE EVIDENCE ON GROUND, IF FASHOLA'S GOVERNMENT DOES NOT PROSECUTE OR FINE HER, THEN FASHOLA AND HIS GOVERNMENT WILL NOT HAVE ANY MORAL RIGHT TO PROSECUTE ANYBODY. |
BASKET MOUTH! |
Corruption is the problem. PERIOD. Virgin Nigeria would still have been here, and perhaps even Nigeria Airways, if not for our corrupt practices. If care is not taken, the so called 4 new airlines may be sponsored and owned by CIVIL SERVANTS! |
What is being done about this case? Can the body of lawyers in the country rise to investigate if government fails to act? Or should we just wait and siddon look till the next one happens? No wonder the government people send their children abroad! Do these people really care about Nigeria or they just want votes during election? |
Obinoscopy: The bolded in the quote was what threw me off balance. The law is already there. Some of the bank chiefs are so confused. That is why they write this kind of nonsense. The house should call them to order. Anyway, which house? |
My brother, Access bank would not kill job seekers with this funny bond. My wife signed that bond in 2009 after training school at Ikeja and left the bank the next year. Guess what?? They collapsed the 2M bond into her account which she already emptied and since then, it has been accruing debit interest. I wrote them a stinker and challenged them to take her to court but yet they have decided to take it on the guarantor who has equally asked them to seek redress in court. I am still waiting for them . . .
It is good she called their bluff. The bank should be sued for BULLYING! Nigerian laws allow you to resign from your job voluntarily within the notice terms you have signed. They can only ask you to pay in lieu of notice and that is fixed at the salary for that period. You can sue for BULLYING! |
mapet: By Business Law lecturer in Bskul told us that it is illegal for coys to get employees to sign BOND. In fact he said if employers want to bond us, we should sign and challeng them to take us to court. He quoted one case where FG sent a guy abroad and he was put on bond, the guy walked away from the useless bond and won in court...THIS KIND OF BOND IS TANTAMOUNT TO BULLYING! THE BULLYING DOES NOT MAKE IT LEGAL! |
mrkels: @ALL WILLING TO KNOW THE NAME OF THE BANK, THIS IS ACCESS BANK,GOT AN OFFER,I TURNED IT DOWNYou should have spoken to a lawyer. It is an empty threat. If you leave the bank will not be able to enforce it. That clause is against natural justice and it is not enforceable anywhere. First, these bankers start with milking depositors' monies and then they become too rich and soon the money crawls into their heads. Call it another form of colonialism. The oppreesor against the under-privileged. Can only happen in a FOURTH world country! |
jayjagz: I'm sorry, one word is not enough to describe my alma mater, University of Ibadan. That is because there is only one UI in the whole of Africa. |
There is only one UI in Nigeria. |
Supported! |
If I recall, the last time this happened, it was a plane colliding with a horde of cattle. Naija my naija! |
ONLY IN NIGERIA! |
You only enjoy somewhat good service if you know the staff in your branch. Otherwise, our banks really really come short in the area of customer service. The bigger, the poorer! |
Quite sad. O God, save Nigeria. |
I beg I no fit read. how much is budgeted as OIL SUBSIDY? |
It is either many people here are ignorant or they just pretend to be ignorant. U all called for the arrest and prosecution of subsidy oil thieves. GEJ has done what no President even dared by exposing the rot in the oil sector. Now you are blaming him again. Let me ask a pertinent question: is it the President's duty to investigate, arraign and prosecute suspects? Would he sit as the judge and dish out the required punishment? Do you all pretend not to know about the intricacies involved in getting a criminal conviction? Bottomline is you guys should stop politicising every damn thing
GEJ government did not expose it. Bukola Saraki of the Senate made the first step to expose the fraud. In fact government agents fought Saraki tirelessly for making the exposure. Please lets be truthful. GEJ does not seem to be fighting corruption. In fact, it is corruption that seems to be fighting him. With all due respect. |
Princeparix: love comes with no assurance, no age limit and no discrimination. i canHappy to read this thread and to see that Nigerians have developed in thinking. A few years ago the answers would have been No, NO, NO. |
chucky234: The broadcast was absurd and uncalled for,you don't need a national broadcast to disburse funds to flood victims or the affected states.Hello. You cant be too sure. It is also possible that the man is not listening to any advice and has surrounded himself with a few warped minds. Meanwhile, the other advisers may be left with no other pre-occupation than chopping. |
Lawyers speaking against appeal! How strange! Yet the body of lawyers in Nigeria (NBA) appealed a while ago for GEJ led FG to appeal the judgement! Bakassi people, please appeal to God. We are with you! |
Why complain on behalf of the 'poor people' who give offerings! Please let them complain by themselves. If they are happy to give, and they believe their giving is to God, why stand in the way? True christians understand the virtue of giving and that is why their churches do far far better! No one is asking P Square or D Banj that they should not own jets but they will scream out if a church acquires one. If you truly love Tee Mac you would advise him to tender unreserved apologies for his error. |
What is a jet used for? Is it a toy? Tee Mac and others need to ask for the itinerary of some pastors and would understand why some would look for means to go to places as quickly as they can. How do you go from Lagos to Kagali, Lesotho, Douala if you have a mission to those places? The gospel is not 'bags of rice' but about reaching the lost with a message of salvation. Africa has remained in the dark because we have not fully embraced the gospel and because we speak ill against those who dare to take the message out! I am not judging or vindicating any man. Only God will do that. But let us watch what we say! And again, would Tee Mac and his partner rather sell jets to oil subsidy thieves than to hardworking men, even if those men are preachers? Think about that! |
WHY SPREAD A RUMOUR? Bad habit. |
Through the grace of God, all will be well. Our prayer and desire for Mrs Jonathan. |
Governor Fashola, over to you. As a respected lawyer and gentleman, please swear in the winner and let us enjoy good democracy. Thank you |
Dignitary: I love Nigerians...Thank you so much. Someone is trying here to quote the man of God out of context. They should relay the entire message so you see the context in which he spoke. |
andre99: @Dee60 no be fight o, but we are in Nigeria, 60% of people who get work nowadays is not on merit, so I don't understand what you are saying, so what is bad there in putting heads together and solving a problem, abeg Bleep off.I hear you. The cost at the end of the day is enormous. There are too many opportunities these days that Nigerians are excluded from simply because they think that Nigerians cheat. These tests are common any way and they are not checking your level of intelligence. They just want to see if you have the right logic for the job. 'Putting heads together' does not improve your chances. You just need to concentrate, have the right focus, read instructions well and answer as much as you can within the time-frame. you can practice logic questions to get yourself ready. There are sample questions free on the net. You can get it on merit. Why on earth do you doubt yourself? |
andre99: Hi guys we need to work together so as to pass the online test before we go for the main test, so we all put our heads together and work on the test that will be sent to us.Cheating never pays! It will cost you something eventually. |
