Subsidy removal? A never ending saga in the global headquarters of corruption. But I believe that God will save Nigeria.

Indeed, GEJ told the nation that BH people are in his government and are indeed high up! Meaning that he knows the BH people. So what was Doyin Okupe saying? NOTHING.
Politics › Re: FG To Buy 30 New Aircrafts For Aviation Industry by Dee60: 5:44pm On Nov 09, 2012
yinchar: I dont understand all this saying about imminent collapse are the airlines not making profits, Nigeria domestic airfares is one of the highest in the world....still they are going bankrupt, this is very ironic......
Cost of doing business in Nigeria is too high, that's why. It isn't just the airfares, everything else is expensive. You will pay 500 dollars for a hotel room here and same size abroad is just about 90 dollars. Corruption worsens it all...Egunje spoils things.
Politics › Re: FG To Buy 30 New Aircrafts For Aviation Industry by Dee60: 4:56pm On Nov 09, 2012
CORRUPTION is the problem with Nigeria. The airlines would not have failed if we did not have this magnitude of corruption. This new move may also go the way of other interventions if our level of corruption persists. Some airlines will be formed by civil servants who will be 'encouraged' to form airlines, and repayment may never happen. That pushes the country into bigger debts.30 aircraft at the rate of US$80 million each means US$2.4 billion. That is a lot of money to throw out to the boys. Well, at any rate it is not anything close to the oil subsidy missing funds (reference Aig, 2012).
Politics › Re: Fashola Is Rude To Non-lagosians – PDP by Dee60: 1:31pm On Nov 09, 2012
People Deceiving People - Forget about Lagos. Not even in the next 50 years. More than 13 years at the centre and nothing to show for it.
Politics › Re: When Will Fuel Scarcity End In Nigeria? by Dee60: 9:22am On Nov 09, 2012
It wont end as long as you have People-Deceiving-People in power. Fuel scarcity is defined as the mechanism to deceive the people that fuel is subsidized and that the price needs to continue to go up.

If they are serious about this whole oil thing, let them stop issing licences and let everyone go and source his own fuel locally or abroad. fuel scarcity will stop and price will drop below N60 per litre.
Politics › Re: Ribadu Report Didn’t Follow Terms Of Reference - Okupe by Dee60: 8:58am On Nov 09, 2012
At anytime government officials are indicated in a report they all come out to discredit the report. Simple question for Mr Okupe. Has Nigeria truly been losing money? Are there licences issued to individuals without due diligence? Are there under the table deals in the Oil Ministry? Leave you all to your consciences.
Travel › Re: Traffic Situation In Lagos Is Getting Worse Everyday by Dee60: 3:06pm On Nov 08, 2012
We all must understand that sometimes things get worse before they get better. The traffic situation is no excuse for allowing okada riders maim themselves and their passengers as they ply express roads. Let us stop promoting lawlessness.

Romance › Re: Mistakes Made In Choosing A Life Partner by Dee60: 12:21pm On Nov 06, 2012
Dont marry because of outward beauty or for fine legs. That will fade in no time. Remember, when you mix a rotten egg with a good egg, the egg becomes rotten. The bad always spoils the good, and not vice versa. Likes attract likes. A good man must pray that God will give him a good woman.

Ladies, don't marry him if his character is questionable even if he has a lot of money. Too many ladies fall for that...Unknown to them the man may be owing the banks or is just a 'clean' fraudster!

The families of the 3000 victims must be compensated. All churches, villages and houses burnt must be re-built. Then it will make sense to compensate BH. But FG needs to be sure that another group will emerge afterwards...and the violence cycle may just be perpetuated. When the prevalent cycle of poverty is joined with a cycle of violence, what will be left of Nigeria? O God, have mercy.
Politics › Re: FG May Pay Compensation To Boko-Haram Members, starts Drawing Criteria For Paymen by Dee60: 8:45am On Nov 06, 2012
How would they know who to pay? Perhaps our dear FG indeed know the BH people. Total nonsense. Tomorrow it will be Agbekoya and after that Modakeke? Now that we have started turning criminals into billionaires, how would the country ever progress. It would have been a different thing if they were fighting a political cause.
What exactly is BH? Who is BH? PDP, please answer.
Business › Re: Ifeanyi Ubah Is A Fraudster – Cosmas Maduka by Dee60: 10:33pm On Nov 05, 2012
Advanced fraudsters take time to research their targets. They go for the most vulnerable. They like to hit people who have a mind to help others. If you are compassionate they will attempt you. In your attempt to pity them they will swipe your face. They are men whose consciences are long dead.

We would not judge until we hear from the other party.

All I am saying is, let everyone learn from this. It will too sad for someone that built an estate from nothing to go down this way. Where is our conscience as a people?

People with a tendency to be compassionate should learn from Mr Maduka.

Politics › Re: Adeboye: Pray For Policemen For The Security Challenges by Dee60: 1:04pm On Nov 05, 2012
Pataki: Prayers for what?

I really do not get it. undecided Gross corruption has taken over the police force. Police officers do not know the law (as if there is a law anyways), hence they abuse their citizens anyhow. The other day, we saw on video how a Nigerian police officer was blown to shreds when he single-handedly and foolishly touched a bomb.

As much as I am a Christian, I get mad when I read this kind of topics asking for prayers when PRAYERS is NOT the key to addressing the security challenges in our country.
He has not said that policemen should not be trained or well equipped. In addition to that these police officers face significant threat from criminals. Prayer for wisdom can guide them in curbing their activities. Also, you have not read the full text of his message. Suggest you do so before attacking.

Will there be another committee headed by a bank CEO (not Aig this time!) to reconcile the two positions? And then what?

GEJ said it was time we 'be like other nations'! Oga, please no CUT and PASTE o, nations are trying these days to be original. Thank God Nigeria has what it takes to be original. We just need to wake up.

russello: You are not so correct on the bold. Truth is that CORRUPTION has never been so brought to the KNOWN.
This is a "gofament" that has opened the eyes of so many Nigerians to the many shady deals in the system
.
Do not agree with you. The minister that exposed it all was fired by GEJ government. Why was remi Babalola fired for revealing that Nigerian government was broke due to NNPC indebtness on outstanding subsidy payments? Our 'gofament' agents really want to twist the facts!
Politics › Re: Jonathan Presents The Transformation Agenda Report by Dee60: 4:30pm On Nov 01, 2012
Sincere 9gerian: I supported and voted for Jonathan because I saw in him a person who will most likely develop all parts of the country fairly uniformly. I voted and supported Jonathan because of the following reasons:
1) completion of the dredging of river Niger. Present status- dredging of river niger has been completed.
2) completion of Onitsha port. Present status- Onitsha port has been completed and commissioned
3) remodelling and upgrading of Enugu airport to international airport. Current status- remodelling work is ongoing and arrangement has been completed to construct an international terminal.
4) construction of 2nd Niger bridge. Current status- the ground braking and actual work is expected to commence in March next yr, under PPP
5) reforms and privatisation of PHCH. Current status- almost completed.
6) completion of the Onitsha-Owerri road. Current status- COMPLETED
7) completion of Onitsha-Enugu expressway. Current status: Head-bridge to upper iweka section already expanded and COMPLETED. Work ongoing at other sections
cool Enugu-PH expressway. Current status still several bad portions but remedial works currently ongoing to restore bad sections, while we await plans for complete reconstruction.
9)opening of the Aba NNPC fuel deport. Current status: DONE, making the southeast buy fuel, not at official price of N97 per litre( except at NNPC stations) but reasonable price of N120. If not for opening of the Aba deport, with the current scarcity of petrol everywhere, fuel in the southeast would have jumped to at least N150 per litre.
9) restoration of the eastern rail line, ditto rail transport across the country. Current status: serious work ongoing, expected to be completed late 2013
10) reconstruction of failed sections of benin-ore road. Current status- one of the troublesome section has been COMPLETELY reconstructed, while we expect work on the other failed section.
11)port reforms, reduction in number of agencies at the ports and all that. Current status: substantially DONE, boosting trade and commerce.
12) And so and so forth.
In conclusion, my support and vote for Jonathan has yielded TREMENDOUS dividends for me personally, the southeast people and for Nigeria in general. You may have different opinion, but for me and my people, the achievements highlighted above means SO MUCH to us. No doubt so much still has to be done, but the destination for now is 2015.
Seems gofament agents don boku for NL.... Una de try sha! Well done. But I think we should be praying instead of praising. Somethings have been done but it is a far cry to what is needed. For example, corruption has never been so deep as what we have currently.
Politics › Re: Jonathan Presents The Transformation Agenda Report by Dee60: 3:13pm On Nov 01, 2012
I really like the fact that GEJ administration is COMMUNICATING. This is a key part of transformation. They should also create a right channel to obtain feedback.

I am wondering what these ministries would have to say - Petroleum Resources, Sports, Power...Until we recover the stolen subsidy money Nigerians will not believe any achievement in the petroleum sector. The report shows Bart Nnaji as Minister for Power (Uuumh!!)Has he been re-instated? Or is it just a matter of laziness on the part of the publishers? I am really curious. I hope this does not mean that the President does not read these things they present to him. What a blunder? Anyway, we are waiting for turnaround in the power sector and I believe it will happen. I hope GEJ government will not sell all our national resources to looters of national treasury, in the name of privatizing power! Posterity will judge.

The column for Sports should have read 'No Comment' since we failed to show up at the last Nations Cup and also got no single medal in the Olympics. Some people have even said that if 'corruption' was to be an olympic event Nigeria will win virtually all the medals in that event. But I believe that efforts are being made to improve things.

Fellow Nigerians, let us pray for, and also encourage GEJ to really transform Nigeria. The cost of failing to do so could be monumental. Personally, I remain hopeful.
