A Nigerian tweeted saying 'Ted Cruz's comment unguarded, irresponsible, undiplomatic, unethical. Mumu guy talking trash'...The Senator na pure mumu guy drawling like an i.dio.t. He's got to be more diplomatic in his rants. Imagine him say something like 'China products are inferior goods', he just should never step his foot in China...he'd be made inferior straight up |
Oh boy! How the toilet and washroom come contradict the outside of the house na? With the way the house looks, you'd expect it to have a pit latrine or an angle 45 kind of toilet... ![]() Quick recovery sir. God is your strength. |
That school wey tertiary students dey kneel down say dem come late to church service...Oya na...2022, how many of us go remember this kind of expression in that year? They call this 'safe prophecy' or 'smart utterance'...lol top ten? Pusshhhh! Oxford, Cambridge, MIT, Harvard, Yale, Stanford, John Jopkins, imperial College of London, LSE, U of Toronto, etc...these schools have maintained their rankings for decades, and I see them holding it for centuries to come... I think mr Bishop should start from home (like Charity)...say, by 2022, Covenant will be among the top 5 in Nigeria. That's more realistic sir. |
Youngzedd: Part of the agreement dwelt on funding of universities where both parties agreed that each federal university should get at least N1.5 trillion between 2009 and 2011If each fed university gets N1.5T in 2 years, can the fed universities each show us what they have planned to do with the expected funds? How much of the funds have been budgeted for research, univ students' loans, etc? I wouldnt be surprised if 85% of the N1.5T is for lecturers' salaries, bonuses, lecturers' loans, etc Youngzedd: while state universities, within the same period, should receive N3.6 million per student. This is not so clear to me. That each studying student should get N3.6M from the government? if this is the case, then, it means the fed government have been paying each student some amount of money before and so the union wants the amount increased to N3.2M in 2 years. How true is this? I know it is not supposed to be a direct financial paymnet into students' accounts but education worth of N3.2 but this is so unrealistic because students dont even have access to education loan, education support, etc However, if the clause actually means that "A student pays N3.6M in 2 years in a government school" How unfair! How malicious! How exploitative! By extension, N7.2M for a four year course (excluding engineering, medicine, pharmacy etc which will definitely be much more). And they say make them parents no come dey thief government money? It's not even a private school. Facilities are scanty, teachers are mostly substandard and archaic (Most don't even know what LinkedIn is), and worst all, no prospect of employment after graduation. Gross institutional exploitation! Youngzedd: The agreement also had parts that asked the re-negotiation committee to ensure that at least 26 percent of Nigeria’s annual budget was allocated to education, and half of that allocation to universities. This is one of the most thoughtless, most clallous and definitely most exploitative clauses I have seen in a long while (well after the Amalgamation of the Northern and southern Protectorates by uncle Lugard). If half of the 26% is sent to the univiersities, whatever happens to polytechniques, colleges of education, vocational & skills centres, secondary education, primary education (basic elementary), adult education, etc? thoughtless! callous! Bafounbous! (My word ) Malicious! and what quality of teaching do these guys give? 25%! Lecturers who mindlessly blow grammars in class; who run after those mosquito-legged female students for punny; who sell copy-and-paste handouts for thousands; who come to class to tell stories. Sad!The bottomline is these guys are callous. Period! |
Especially if the guy na chelsea fan, oh boy, change no go fit come easily o...if wedding dey for 12.00pm and Chelsea get match for 11.45 am, bros, na to postpone wedding till 1.30pm o because even the girl papa self go wan watch the match before he give her daughter hand out...God go save the husband-to-be if Chelsea nor win the match, wedding don cancel itself be that......na the way abeg, nor vex. MRbrownJAY: you must not know how this biz work.......a promoter/venue hires the artist for a show on a particular date, for a set performance fee. that artist has nothing to do with how much the entrance ticket will be or how many people will be in attendance. the artist gets paid his performance fee whether the house is empty or full. the only one who lose (or gain anything) is the promoter/venue. the only one who has anything to do with the seating arrangement is also the promoter/venue.Yeah, artistes, most often than not, get paid up front...but the truth is, henceforth, promoters will be cautious as to inviting him and paying him that high if his name is gradually losing hold on the public. A show promoter just lost handsomely, others will learn from it...and Wizzy might be affected on the long run. Truly, that's how 9ice's palaver started...I remember him also performing to an almost empty hall years back in Lagos island... |

odumchi: Personally, I find it funny when people conduct so-called "traditional" marriages (which oftentimes are not traditional in in any way, shape, or form and are simply parties in which the bride and groom are dressed in lace or ankara) overseas instead of going home [to Nigeria]. I understand that sometimes there might be financial constraints and all that, but that doesn't negate the fact that [to me] it's such a weird idea. I mean, isn't the idea behind marrying someone traditionally supposed to be fulfilling the marital customs of the woman's land (speaking from the Igbo perspective)?Personally, I think you shouldnt be bothered about it. Even in naija, traditional marriages are being held at federal palace hotels, Eko hotels etc where the only thing traditional about the marriages is the traditional outfit worn by the couple. Every other thing is far from traditional. And just so you know, family heads, unlike before, don't just gather to hand away daughters or eat bitter kola or kolanut...Things don change. Traditional marriages can now be celebrated anywhere in the world - Dubai, City Centre in Manchester, Empire Lounge in Toronto, or even King's Court in Scotland...with champagne popping...so bro, marriage na marriage. |

So, who are the ones that succeed then? Group thinkers don't succeed? If you are 'confident' but 'empty-brained', how exactly will such a person succeed? Well, seeing that you are also gullible copying and pasting everything you see on other sites (because na Forbes abi?), I don't expect you to provide an intelligible answer to the question. |
I 'd pick Tuface, Banky W, MI, and IcePrince. Having been around MI, Jesse, Icey and Brymo at different places, the studio, National stadiium surulere, SWE bar, Marquee, Eko Hotels, Protea Ikeja, etc, I def know Jesse is a very pompous niggi...and Brymo. |

Or are you talking about lecture halls?
7) Receiving of calls when the service is going on
Not true at all. People are learning courtesy now. But this one na turu sha...one of the lead singers in a church in Toronto (RCCG) leads the large congregation with his very strange Mohawk hair style, just like Ashley Cole's. Its so embarrassing. And to think he always feigns being in the spirit, it beats me. And one of the female ushers, a young lepacious girl in her mid 20s (I guess) tints her Anita Baker or is it punk self) hair style gold and wears some badt body fitted dress. Apart from these, churches now a days are becoming sane again. |
Obviously, you will marry her (or them, as the case may be) before you know whether they are diamond, pearls or feathers. But if it is written on their foreheads before we marry them, maybe that can fit to be able and help person ![]() |

JimloveTM: I read a post about how to make money with your skills, so thats y i started this thread.. Alot of people wont see how, but i will post it below:I mean about the skills thing, if the list is too long, it becomes confusing and may give room to weak responses. With the list above, everyone in the world, no matter how dull or otherwise he or she is, will possess one. And considering that almost half of the skills (and expertise) are similar, it becomes even more difficult. Check my hypothetical example below: Wht is Nigeria most famous for? (Choose only 3): a: Black people b: Ethnicity c: Former British colony d: African soccer champion e: Political corruption f: ASUU strike g: Intermittent power supply (NEPA) h: Predominantly poor north i: Muslim north and christian south j: Oil dependent k: 419 l: Poor telecommunication network m: poor education system n: Pidgin English o: Religions p: Child marriage Now, tell me, which ones would you choose when almost everything is true? When options are too many, confusion sets in. Just saying. |
Na wah o. You listed close to 220 skill sets and you asked for just 5? No accurate or sincere response will come through...at all. |
I remember as a kid hunting crickets with my cousins and friends in the village, barbequing and eating them (of course with garri ). We call them 'ire' or tata! How come I never thought of extracting proteins and iron from them by mixing them with flour? Brains!!! ![]()

Some students from McGill University, Canada, have won $1 million to pursue their project that aims to improve the availability of nutritious food to rural dwellers worldwide by providing them with flour made from insects - crickets, grasshoppers, etc. They are: Mohammed Ashour, Shobhita Soor, Jesse Pearlstein, Zev Thompson and Gabe Mott. They were presented with the social entrepreneurship award and $1 million in seed capital by former U.S. president Bill Clinton in New York City Monday evening at the Clinton Global Initiative’s annual meeting. They plan to farm insects, crickets especially, grind them and mix the fine powder with choice flour - for bread, doughnuts, etc Ashour explained to CBC News, “It is essentially flour that is fortified with protein and iron obtained from locally appropriate insects.” Soor said people in many of the countries they are targeting already eat insects - Mexico, Ghana, etc. “There really isn’t a ‘yuck’ factor,” she added. The type of insect would be chosen based on local culinary preferences. The insects would be mixed with the most common type of local flour, whether it be made from corn, cassava, wheat or something else.
