Interesting! PDP is also responsible for the killings in Zamfara abi. |
It's good to know the stories behind the hymns we so much love to sing. Another great story is that of .. "It is well with my soul". The author Horatio G. Spafford and his wife had experienced terrible losses including the loss of a child due to illness and a fire which burnt down their business. After this, he lost his four daughters in a boat accident. The song was written as an expression of deep faith in God against all odds. He had more children thereafter to God's glory. |
Thanks to GEJ for the solid foundation laid and to PMB for completing the project. |
Hmm! This is getting messy.... |
We should be seeking for peace in the Middle East and everywhere else. What's there to celebrate when people are suffering and dying needlessly due to this uneccesary war? People are being "matyred" while the rich continue to live in opulence in the same region. Maybe I just don't understand. ![]() |
Nice moves if it can be done NOW! |
The major takeaway from this is that the Church funds are well managed. They comply strictly with the teachings of the Bible with regards to obedience to God's words, sacrificial giving and love for humanity. Maybe our government officials and the almighty politrickcians should take a crash course in funds management from this Church. ![]() I've visited Canaanland and CU before. I'm truly impressed by the environment and the good organisation in place. He's done a lot in Omu Aran too (his town). That's where Landmark is....impacting positively on agriculture in the rural setting. Kudos to Winners! |
Someone who is doing a good job should be allowed to continue. Getting to the root of killings in Plateau state will be helpful in these seemingly endless war on the helpless. Maybe the Army has other reasons. Hopefully they'll respond. |
The document doesn't appear genuine. Still surprised that there are doubts about his qualifications. Very unlike the Adelekes who are known to be well read...at least late Senator Isiaka and Deji Adeleke. |
This appears to be fake. Still one is disappointed that he seems not to be well read unlike his brothers. |
Wow! This from a technically defeated Boko Haram abi. Yet the military is silent. This is so sad. May God rest their souls in perfect peace. May God comfort and uphold their families. Amen |
I love your songs Frank. Heartfelt praises! God bless you much more. |
Cultists everywhere! What's our nation turning to? Young people who should focus positively on their future are busy engaging in battles of supremacy everywhere to achieve a purpose that some of us can't understand. The nation is getting too bloody. God help us as we make meaningful efforts to quell all these senseless wars. |
Seandisputed:Sad! Hopefully you'll have some peace now. I keep wondering what they gain from cultism. What does one achieve by killing perceived enemies and having to watch over one's shoulders everyday? |
Scary..20 years old girl! She's not even remorseful. This type will kill her husband without any qualms! She doesn't seem to understand that she's wrong. Parents are failing badly these days. ![]() Maybe it's time for family planning as suggested by the Ooni of Ife. Parents should be more committed to the upbringing of their children for a better society. |
Sheikh Gumi, speaking frankly and honestly. No sentiments. That's what a true cleric should always do. If only our leaders listen to genuine advice instead of depending on sychophants. God bless him and guide him more. |
Hope Senator Adeleke has sorted out his certificate issue. It could be a disaster for PDP if the opposition uses it against him. |
If it turns out to be true that Senator Adeleke has no certificate, does it mean that Dr Ogunbiyi automatically becomes the flagbearer? It sounds strange though coming from a family of well educated and enterprising people. |
divinelove:Most unfair! This is not an issue to be trivalised. Anyone can be poor at any time in life's course. There are many examples of children whose parents died or suddenly fell into hard times. By the way, those who sought admission there planned based on the old fees with a probable minimal increase over time. This is more than 100% increase at once! How many public servants can easily afford that on their 18k minimum wage pay? God bless the leaders of old who gave out scholarships and bursaries to students irrespective of their backgrounds. I benefited from that and i didn't have to lobby or settle anyone. The bursary covered fees and some feeding allowance. That's free education in a way and it's what we need now for indigent students. |
Someone should please remove the picture showing the list of names. It's unprofessional, embarrassing and most unfair to the students and their families. This can breed hatred and division amongst the students who should otherwise be friends for life. The school authorities didn't do a good job. Lost values all over. ![]() |
Actually a lot of people are so disenchanted and frustrated with Nigeria to the extent that they would dream up any means of escape to Eldorado at the risk of their lives. That's why people will gladly trek through the desert and climb onto rubber boats on the Mediterranean sea to Europe. Same reason some went to Russia with the hope of settling down there. Its not a well thought out plan but the guy is seeking a a path to a better future his own way. It's really so sad that we have degenerated to this point. We really do need to restructure for peace and progress. |

A new party with younger and experienced youth will be a wonderful option. I'd rather vote for fresh minds. APC and PDP are birds of the same feather. Their members keep decamping to and fro such that one isn't ever sure of which party Mr X or Mrs Y belongs to. ![]() |
Sharpshooota:How does that guarantee performance? |
This is so sad! Every human life is valuable and deserving of protection and respect. Peace and progress shall return to Jos/Plateau by Gods grace. Amen |
thorpido:Yes. It's nice to know that her Sunshine Foundation for the less privileged still exists. She was a selfless giver. |
thorpido:MEE had a daughter for another person before marrying RMD who had two kids. She died after a surgery. Great lady! Excellent journalist! God rest her soul in perfect peace. |
lympy:The younger generation was denied the opportunity to learn history. It's the reason why many don't know much about their roots and can't learn from it to make their future better. If they had a good understanding of the past, we won't have so many of them seeking short cuts to success. Trekking across the Sahara and further risking their lives on a rubber boat on the Mediterranean Sea will not be first priolite if they had a good grasp of history. It's just so sad. The government messed up on a key aspects of education. A nation without a history hardly moves forward. ..nothing to reflect on and learn from. Thanks to the writer and OP for another perspective on slavery. It reminds me of the stories of Ajayi Crowther, Oluaidah Equiano (not sure of the spelling) et al. |
sassysure:I wonder how anyone can happily live with a stolen child without her conscience being pricked. Surrogacy and legal adoption are good options. |
freethinker01:Modern science and technology makes many things possible. Of course God's grace and mercy does the rest. |
