How do we make nincompoops understand that you can't get anything positive from these bloody rituals? It's beginning to look like this isn't the Western Region in which I grew up. ![]() Even the traditionalists including Prof Yemi Elubuibon have come out to say that you can't use a human being for rituals in Yoruba traditional religion. It has horrible consequences as explained by another Lagos Chief. You can't kill someone and expect to live in peace. Even if the devil assists to make it possible, it can only be for a short while. Yorubas say, "oun ti a ko ba sise fun kii tojo, oun ti a ba fi ara sise fun lo npe lowo eni." Also "ise loogun ise." In summary, there's no short cut to having wealth that is enduring. |
The SAT scores confirms that she's outstanding. Congratulations to her. Greater success and blessings ahead. |
It seems every Naval Chief builds a base in his LGA. It's his turn to shine. 🤷♀️ |
beelon1020:Really? Are you aware of what happened in the days of ECOMOG? |
We simply don't need this war. It won't favor us in any way. French West Africa should sort out their problems with France. We carried the burden of British West African countries (Liberia, Sierra Leone) via ECOMOG years ago. The fact is that we don't have the resources to undertake such an expensive venture now. Let's deal with our many in-house problems. Niger will solve their problems as we fought our battles in the 90s to restore democracy. |
Kaiser20:You're joking, right? |
Surprised that LP senators collected it too. |
Tales by moonlight. How could PBAT have made everyone on this list a Minister? It's one per state and FCT according to the constitution. He has exceeded that already. |
That is Ibadan CBD of old. Cocoa house and the old major banks are nearby. The Kingsway, UTC and Leventis Stores axis was always a destination of choice during the holidays. I remember the very hot delicious meat pie at Kingsway stores and Santa Claus grotto with the mini train and "snowy" atmosphere leading to it during Christmas. St Michael's wears at Leventis and household stuff at UTC. The British Council and Western Region libraries were nearby for us to spend some time reading. The Lebanese stores and fabric stores of Dugbe market women were also nearby for window shopping. Sweet memories..... ![]() |
iyatrustee:True. In years past in the SW, those who went to Trade Centres instead of completing secondary school, sat for City and Guilds (London) trade tests which was internationally acceptable. They were employed as junior technicians in industries. Those who have that or other modern certifications will find it easier to relocate. |
I've visited 28 states plus FCT. I haven't visited Kebbi, Zamfara, Sokoto, Imo, Ebonyi, Akwa Ibom, Gombe, Taraba. Stopped over briefly at Yola. |
KwuoteYourFada:The problem is that people are being forced to breed for sale. You can't legalise criminality. It's nothing to do with tribes. Crimes happen all over. Best to tackle the issue in that light. |
MetroLane:Funny. Criminals everywhere pointing accusing fingers at each other. You forgot to mention the ones killing their children who are suspected to be witches and wizards. |
I don't believe that we'll attack Niger. It's not just a Northern matter. It will affect all of us. It just doesn't make any sense. The days of ECOMOG are over. We have more than enough problems of our own to tackle. Our sons/ brothers in the military should not be made to carry a burden beyond their limit. Sanctions and diplomacy will work over time. Still, we should remember that Niger will dam River Niger for electricity that we're denying them now. God help us all. |
I don't think it's a wise decision to sell all that he has to relocate at 43. I know young people with PR who are still struggling to get jobs over there. Also, the offer sounds like a scam in process.... |
tungamaje:Of course, many villages got light, water and roads through community effort. It's simply the norm in the SW. Nothing to brag about. Baba Adeboye/RCCG constructed the road to his village. He didn't make any noise about it until FMWH tried to lay claim to the project which they had abandoned over the years. |
skj1377:This is unfair! |
So what do we do for those whose lives they ruined and those killed after giving killers and kidnappers amnesty? Many have lost everything and living hopelessly in IDP camps. |
ifytrik:Have faith in God. No negative thoughts biko. ![]() The girls are working hard. May God crown their efforts with success.🙏🏼 |
orohbirodeysmel:We give them light which they pay for. The main reason is to prevent a situation whereby they dam River Niger upstream. That may affect the supply of electricity in Nigeria where dams have been built downstream in Kainji and Jebba. |
SpatialKing:Ibadan to Ife Ikorodu to Sagamu |
SpatialKing:It's tax credit for his company as I learnt. |
Lovely family. God bless them. |
tungamaje:Nothing new. Many of the schools in the SW and other infrastructure including roads were built by Town Unions. Each town has a development union or something similar and they contribute towards the progress of the towns and villages. The old schools, hospitals, town halls, palaces etc are still being maintained by old students and the development unions/associations. |
Congratulations to him. Hope he'll work towards creating more opportunities for the youth across our nation, in the digital space. He should harness and reprogram the negative ingenuity of yahoo boys for positive impact. There's room for more people in the cyber security space for instance. The youth should support him instead of criticisms based on old posts. This is one of the good opportunities to subtly and steadily take your country back. |
BOSSkesh:Others from other tribes have been exposed before. There are criminals and good people in EVERY tribe. |
Okortor:I think this is some sort of joke. However, a man who requires advice to choose between his family and a side chic obviously doesn't love his wife and children. You might as well resettle them nicely and provide for their upkeep while you plan for a divorce, so that you can marry the love of your life. |
Very sad loss. 😔 Heartfelt condolences to her family. May her soul rest in peace. Whosoever was negligent should face the wrath of the law. |
Good move. We may not have to spend our hard earned resources on building a rail track within Niger afterall. Better to solve our own internal problems before poking our noses into other people's business. |
Exodus15v11:I think money isn't the main issue here. One has to be alive to spend money. She's trying to protect herself and her children. That's more important. |
HausaIgboYoruba:He's divorced from his first wife. The others were not married legally it seems....perhaps except Stella who is no more. |
