SpecialAdviser: You must have read what agbado propagandists fed you. Time to wise up is now! Akwuzu SARS reports for instance. There are others. As for me, all three musketeers are unsuitable but we have no choice once the court finally rules either way. May God guide the final winner wisdom and the wherewithal to lift us out of this deep mess. |

Yes.. the government does everything to frustrate the poor citizens effort . Especially in a sensitive case like this it's highly possible. It's not too late for the families to check. Enough details were provided in respect of each dead body picked up. |

Just that you are too pure to join issues with the drug lord. No need fighting a pig lest you become dirty also. I love you Peter Obi and will always do. May Almighty God bless you for the rare hope you have betowed upon Nigerians.
Thank you sir Too pure? Which of the old politicians is really pure? There's a lot on the Internet about him that has not been explained or disproved. He was only seen as a better option in a mixed bag of bad choices. Praying for better years and truly compassionate and selfless leaders ahead. |

Styluss: The workforce is the backbone of the country, because you are not a salary earner does not mean you dont have one as a client or customer, they have parents, they have kids, sisters and aunts. They have families, above all they dont eat money, they patronize you and me in the market, they engage the services of artisans and give their retired parents monthly stipends. They are the backbone of a nation I'm speaking in support of the workers. Our leaders are self centred. |
Politics › Re: Despite Huge Revenue, Lagos Local Councils Underperform, Worsen Residents’ Pains by delpee(f): 10:30pm On Jul 21, 2023 |
Reference: The antidote to this is grassroot involvement through regular citizen led townhalls (not government led and sponsored meetings) where these issues are examined and solutions found.
It is an acid test for governance for as soon as people gather to deliberate on the quality of service they get, they are likely to experience an almost immediate push back which will indicate where the problem lies, just like our local vulcanizers pump a tire and run fluid over it to discover leaks,
One of the big problem in all of Nigeria as pertaining to governance is the general lack of knowledge as to how government works and how to get a particular government to work for the citizens. Almost everything government does from the first to the last day in office has little or no citizen input. They alone decide taxation but will never disclose how much they collect in detail. They alone decide on what money is spent but will never give detailed account. They alone decide who is engaged, employed to service the citizens in one way or the other but will never disclose the criteria for appointment or selection.
The average citizen is made virtually useless in anything concerning how he is governed. He cannot decide for instance which road he wants repaired as his priority, he cannot decide whether he prefers his child at school given free textbooks instead of free meals, he cannot decide practically anything about the quality of his life within any governing structure.
These are things taken for granted in other climes where democracy thrives. There it is pure, tailor made service in return for votes. And the people watch as such service and interact with their politicians on a daily basis. They monitor the quality of service doggedly.
We have a long way to go in Nigeria.
PS: Like the ongoing ruse about the proposed palliatives. Who agreed to the cash handout. Who agreed to the 500 billion. Who agreed to the 8,000. Who agreed to the 6 months. These are the details that show and prove it is not a citizen led democracy at all. And it starts with citizen advocacy failure at the grassroots. Nigeria is a restaurant where no customer orders anything. You just walk in an eat whatever they prepare and lay on the table. Sounds more like a mess hall or a grade school canteen. You're right. Sadly so. |

Basicend: Just about 10 years ago. . Entry level jobs in intercontinental bank, diamond bank, GT Bank, Virgin Nigeria, Unilever was as high as #185,000 - #200,000 after training schools.
Those days, an entry level staff could easily buy a very 2nd-hand or cheap brand new car. .
Today, most entry level jobs are contractual and the pay is around #70,000. . In a hyping inflation besieged economy.
Today. . Most of them can't even pay house rent.
How did we get ourselves to this level? It's so sad that the big organisations that declare huge profits and pay exceedingly large emoluments to their directors, can't pay the younger ones down the ladder reasonable salaries. |

tyup: You're ill informed. Late last year, shortly after General Lagbaja was made GOC no 1 division, Kaduna. Bandits were utterly decimated and calm was restored to Kaduna to the point Birnin gwari/forest highway that have been long deserted was opened and there have not been killing or Kidnapping on that road till date. Why you think say folks like me was happy he was appointed Chief of Army staff??
Buhari and Hell rufai were soft on Bandits cuz they were their kinsmen "Fulani" and currently both of them are not at the sit of power. General Lagbaja is Yoruba from Kwara that have a long standing beef with Fulanis, Tinubu supported the killing of northerns in Lagos using OPC early 2000, the Chief of Defense staff General Christopher Musa is from Southern Kaduna that has suffered from the terrible hands of Hell rufai and Fulanis.
These bandits better leave Nigerian for good if they know what's good for them. Gen. Lagbaja is from Osun State. |

The plan to disrupt African cultural values with transgender ideas and ultimate depopulation and disorientation is very much on course. I've watched a few videos analysing that including one where the recorder said they're coming after our children. We can't afford to lose guard. Sadly, some will fall victim and regret later.
I don't think this can happen in Universities in the North and SW ...at least for now. |

I've visited most States in the federation. Nigerians of all tribes are nice and welcome visitors wholeheartedly. Most of those creating tribal division online and everywhere have their personal issues or are just catching cruise. Those who attended FGCs in the past enjoyed the bonding across board and have remained friends to date irrespective of tribe. People have lived together for ages in peace. 2023 elections will not end us. The old national anthem says it all..."though tribes and tongues may differ, in brotherhood we stand." Enjoy your stay but respect your hosts and don't go beyond your boundaries. |
