Crassus: Outdated tanks. Most countries have it in their museums nowof course Slovakia would have samples of T-55 in their museums...same as we have biafra war relics and muritala mohammed's mercedes in some enclaves.... Slovakia fought a terrible war and that tank sure reminds them of how bad war can be...thats why it is in a museum. a museum is not a junk yard where you dump useless items...A museum is an institution that cares for (conserves) a collection of artifacts and other objects of scientific, artistic, cultural, or historical importance and makes them available for public viewing through exhibits that may be permanent or temporary http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Museum |
sobaemma: hahahahahahha, lol, nigeria rule africa in terms of miltaryNo pun intended but I think you need to first win a war against your English blunders.... You call the whole Igbo nation just a tribe Serious? What is the definition of a nation? You are ready to pick a civil war that happened over half a century ago as a yardstick, yet you are quick to waive off ECOMOG exploits of these guys in a whiff. Do you think a war is just about total extermination of the opposition? Have you heard of ‘war crimes’ before? Do you know what it means? Do you know there are rules of engagement that apply in crisis resolution? Have you heard about the Geneva Convention? Liberia, Sierra Leone, Ivory Coast, Mali, Sudan all have one thing in common when it comes to military intervention….and it is always kudos to our combatant men. |
who on earth mocks his parents for having bald hair or wrinkles on their faces? it is only in this our country that people dont value what they have...they prefer to associate with what others own. Americans still value their fords, corvettes, buicks, GMC, etc despite the existence of better brands the koreans prefer their samsungs and hyundais and dont denigrate developments in their habitats we might not have the best hardware, we should however encourage these guys that actually ensure our country is still a bit safe... Nigeria is our country.....its ours |
@walcolm you are right as regards the battery thingy. I am a heavy phone user and am usually away from charging points most time in the day. My battery has been fully drained daily in the last month. Hope it's not fully damaged by now? |
no oooo, best smartphone battery so far ...my batt last for days although am on latest OS update 10.1.xx.4537 . If you need original battery and you are in lagos contact me for it but no be small money ooo
How much? Am in lagos |
Is anybody having issues with their BB10 battery? My z10 battery is all messed up and works for less than an hour now ![]() Please what can I do? I also can't seem to find a replacement battery |
The only network in Nigeria that gives you 3gb data for N2,800 is........ Airtel. Just send BCM3 to 440 and the rest is history. If you are still on those rip off a called BB10 plans, you are really wasting your cash. These network guys did a kind of market segmentation and decided that if you can afford a BB10 device, you should be able to pay more for data... |
Crassus: is it difficult to get nigerian citizenship and passport ni? just bribe one immigration officer and u go get ur passport.. find links and u will get a birth certificate too and find a local govt official and u will get state of origin.. chikenaplease parents, dont allow your kids to reason this way. train them to know that fraud is a negative culture that must be curbed. |
The Nigerian Army Strongest African Infantry The Soldiers of the continent Bravery is just a normal committment Enemies, just their bullet recipients Cowards can either die or flee But to be a Nigerian Soldier, A war is just a simple excercise ***just composed on the fly.... ![]() |
Some meters start reading the moment fuel leaves the pump to the hose while some, when the fuel leaves the underground tank, it depends on where the engine (turbine) is. So after being attended to, fuel remains on the hose, right? Not really. Let me explain it like this; when you sip a drink with a straw and stop afterwards, you notice that droplets might remain in the straw and these droplets, as you've probably noticed are usually negligible. That's the same way a filling station pump operates. Due to the very high pressure used when dispensing the fuel, nothing remains in the hose and if something remains, it's usually negligible.
i kinda object to this. fuel still remains in the hose after it is dispensed. some dispensers have a transparent holder on the pump that shows fuel when its moving (pushing two white balls into a dance). when the fuel pump stops, the fuel doesnt drain back down into the underground tank |
<<< no comment from people because the message is not clear. topic should have been "why do people leave served food untouched or unfinished" or something like that |
Hunger.... ebi ki w'onu, ki Oro Miran woo When hunger takes a vistor's visa to your body, no other immigrant is allowed entry...except food |
carmenblandish: Him been feel say him wan deceive the girl,,,to make her happy for nothing....GOD DON CATCH AM....if he is a yoruba man, I HOPE HE BROKE HIS LEG......read the topic...cant be bovvad to read the artical. How do we define this guy's disorder? Tribalfreakstism? |
dear OP, wont you prefer to have a concert for your kids with assurances that they would be safe and in good company over a long night? assume the concert price was pegged at N100. Can you imagine the kind of crowd and 'thugs' that will show up? price discrimination is not always bad news |
^^^^ the food you cook for a whole town can be devoured easily...the problem arises when the whole town decides to cook for you Boko Haram has 'priced' market....they must pay |
Policewoman: Ok. I agree. This new one is the bomb. Happy now?Emotional opinions don't amuse me...same for decisions made based on assumptions. |
@ police woman... even Steve Jobs would have respected this new Samsung tablet. Mention one single apple tablet/phone that can beat this new Samsung |
H Exponental: Lots of people queue up @ shoprite for bread........think of a kind of partnership with shoprite for home delivery.Good idea....although those Shoprite guys don't look like they can meet additional demand for bread.... A franchise discussion with Shoprite to supply the loaves 'very fresh' to nearby locations can be considered. That might cost more than 200k though |
CHIMCO: Is it proper to drive faster at that period to aviod been stoped by unseen objects like stone or drive as slow as possible?Bad advice... If you drive faster, the water dams on the bonnet increasing the risk of water going into the engine. In addition, you might lose the ability to control the vehicle. Put off fog lights, AC, and drive ensuring that you are not the first car on the trail...don't drive through unknown flood paths and try to wait out the rain...the flash floods can drain off in 30 minutes so why rush? |

^^^^ right on... |
Okija juju: Huh?Do you think 2,000 vehicles is enough to police over 160m people? The united states law enforcement agencies buy between 65,000 to 70,000 vehicles EVERY year.... http://www.caradvice.com.au/134567/us-police-stock-up-on-ford-crown-victoria-shun-chevrolet-caprice/ Not some luxury edition landrovers but mostly the old ford and Chevy caprice...basic but functional vehicles |
Policewoman: Your cost benefit ratio holds little water because in Nigeria currently, our roads are not as good as they have it in developed countries, where Sedans can be used at will by the police. 80% of Nigerian roads are offroad and therefore the sedans will suffer more wear and tear than the SUVs, thus damaging in a shorter period of time. I myself own a landrover SUV and i know what i'm talking about its durability. Fashi the maintainance cost, the Nigerian Police force can have in house police corps engineers stationed in each district to repair these cars when they can't be done by ordinary mechanics.Read your post! You claim cost benefit analysis is not necessary in your opening statement yet you end it with "it's all about planning" do you really know what planning is all about? You then quote that 80% of Nigerian roads are "off-road"....can you post the source or they are mere conjectures? You own a landrover, does that imply that we should all buy your brand? What about Jeep, GMC, BMW, Mercedes etc....are they not also durable? what about HUMMER? Do you know how much it costs to 'officially' repair a broken landrover engine? My emphasis on officially. Can you share with us the cost for shock absorbers, new doors, lights etc and how a simple police station will be able to accommodate the maintenance cost in their budget? There is a difference between day-dreaming and planning and dear, your ideas ain't practical in Nigeria for now....maybe on African Magic |
Okija juju: I recommended that as well on a previous thread on these kias..Police cars with extended metal bumpers imply only one thing....more aggressive behaviors on the roads...they will bump cars unnecessary same way they use current pick ups as ferries for arrested okadas.... give them sedans, train them as you suggested and give each unit a bonus pay for undamaged vehicles at the end of the year |
Okija juju: Bros.. You sef read the OPs post. He simply showed a pic of a damaged Police vehicle. He didn't state what led to it. I went with the best guess of typical police carelessness. And all I said was that it was a normal sight. You have a point here...we all have a mindset as regards their inefficiencies... However, let's give them a room to improve and let's commend them when necessary. |
Policewoman: I agree with you and that is why i opted for the most basic option. Moreover, if there is a sort of agreement between our F.G and Rover to mass produce these cars, the costs will even be further reduced. The Indian police have been doing this with General Motors U.S, the makers of the Mahindra Legend Jeep.Your ideas are novel but does that imply these rugged vehicles would not suffer the same or similar damage in a gun battle? What is the cost benefit implication for buying a N10m SUV or a N2.5m sedan. Those rovers are more expensive and will crush if they fall into a ditch. What about the daily cost of maintenance? The rover will consume twice the quantity of fuel, oil etc than the kia... On a large scale that implies double costs. Can we afford it? Most developed countries use sedans for urban patrols and only SUVS for border runs ...we can adopt the same strategy.. Those pick ups cost twice and were used for arresting okadas....you can't put an okadas in those kia rios.... |
dvdon: Well I will say the NPF, r not used 2 riding AC cars, so I think the officer driving it fell asleep n lost control. Now this gives me an insight y NPF patrol on pick up vehicles packed like Ewu behind. This post does not encourage us to know what other things you 'think' about...nor are we interested in your further 'insights ' |
We should commend those police officers who decided to risk their lives just for us to be safe. What is the economic cost of safety? Is a N2.5m car too costly to be expended on your safety? If armed robbers know we have brave police officers and a supportive government, am sure they would think twice before attacking innocent citizens. It is easy to sit behind a PC and type grub about how to defend and expend but the real heros are those guys who stay at checkpoints in the rain and in the sun when our family members are well tucked in within the homes we provide. Let us support our country. Let us support our security systems....thats all we've got. |

Okija juju: LolStop repeating same mistakes.....rio is not V4...it is called I4.....inline four.... |
Okija juju: [b]Lol.. First off, sorry about the v8 thing.. I only just saw it now.Lol I like your prose. First you discount a grave error as mis-quoting the specs of the hilux and quickly interject with a notion that v6 will always outrun v4.... what is V4? I guess you mean inline 4 cylinders. Your assertion is however subject to debate. Next you lied by saying you mentioned metal grill fronts...NO YOU DID NOT and you can revert from the quotes... Your actions as a would be governor is actually commendable and I believe if the select corps were well trained, they would actually perform effectively Your facts were not totally right though your propositions are very worthy. You can't compare Ghana to Nigeria. Lagos alone will cause great headache for the whole Ghana police force... The governor is at least trying to make a difference...let's encourage him. I did not say you said Kias are not durable...don't mix up posts...it's already friday....lol |
Okija juju: How effective would a V4 KIA Rio be in a chase against a V6 vehicle? Very ineffective. How will you say hilux comes with a V8 engine? Your statements are mere assumptions made by a mind biased against this initiative. Arm-chair deductions at its best. Just because they have dilapidated cars that were once new doesn't mean they should not be funded again. Tell me, if you were the governor, how would you have assisted the police? Always get your facts right... |
