Kia seems more masculine while Hyundai looks feminine. Since a 'she' is getting the vehicle, go for Hyundai. |
Thankgodifeduba: Please explain the meaning ofYou are still wrong. It's 'sent'... when you use phrases like "Should be,must be, might be" the next verb must be in the past. Eg. Jide must be flogged for kissing Tonto Dike. |
A friend had a crash with a brand new car less than a month after purchase. Leadway paid 90% of repair cost exactly one month later. Repair was done at Dana motors and was done to factory standard. The only cost was the waiting time and 10% (less than 40k) If you still have the mindset that insurance doesn't work, well, it's your mind. |
walcolm: @Denn,Yes. When I bought my z10 and had no whatsapp access, I took it up with Etisalat and it was a war. They promised to get the update out. Other network users can take it up too...don't call, send emails so you have a trail. Cheers |

I was involved in an accident that almost took my innocent life away along ogbomoso to Oyo road. Two trailers were trying to outstrip each other with a drag race on the narrow road. It's a common occurrence on that road hut unfortunately, they approached uphill while I was coming uphill from the opposite direction...we met at the hill top. I swerved off the road and into the ditch at 120km/hr. The car took ages to stop and when it did, all I could do was appreciate God. Windscreen was shattered, fenders scraped off and dents everywhere but my innocent body was unscathed. I simply dragged the torn vehicle out of the scrubs and drove all the way to lagos. Life goes on |
@ op and Siena, The average accidented american cars being sold after repairs to Nigeria sometimes look like the op's car. That's why I will always prefer a new korean to a fairly used jap...at least one is sure coming straight from the factory....you can never tell what abuse the other slave had gone through... The big question is will the repair actually revert the car to 'before accident' status or it will majorly be cosmetic in nature? I feel so many flaws will not be corrected (cost benefit analysis) as the 'new' one costs less than N500,000. Except its a ford model T or a mercedes gullwing from the 1960s, I will advise you sell as scrap then buy a car in a better condition. |
niyyie: @iv4fb, I wrote: Our own website[s] were not down at any point. Reference was to web4africa.netDear Niyi Nothing stops you from 'sincerely apologizing for any inconvenience caused ' kinda statements. It calms customers and assures them you have empathy. Your stance reeks of an 'I am always right' attitude. I am sure you are a boss where you work but in business, customer is always king Send the apology dude and get this behind you |

just4sola: Open letter to Blackbery Z10 users onlyHello pal. BlackBerry Os is carrier dependent as regards update. Which sim is inside? Am sure Etisalat has started pushing the updates in Nigeria. Once you have an update notification, Pls look for a wifi hot spot with very reliable Internet connection and update there. U used oxygen. Check www.oxygen.com.ng for nearby locations. I spent over 2 hours... Happy z10 surfing |
Whatsapp is not automatic. To get whatsapp, your device must run a later OS version usually 10.0.10.Bleep versions. Upgrade can take almost 700mb if not more... I am currently upgrading mine at oxygen hot spot at Stalad Bb10 data plans are advised as they give unlimited bbm chat. Other data bundles dont. Will update if I notice differences after the update |
in summary, its evident that: Nigeria is not the only country where officers sleep..... |

ICEBREAKERS: Must I use money to open a business acct?no. i think some banks now accept sand and cement to open accounts...be on the lookout pal |
Abrantie GH: The last time I checked, Nigeria was a third world, sub-saharan sh1thole country with smelly and BLACK citizens.what are you doing on a Nigerian forum? you seem to forget history so soon... earlier generations of Ghanians were on these lagos streets hawking their skills as shoe menders and plastic welders. their wives sold one shitty piece of stale maize food in banana leaves...the educated ones were employed as nursery school teachers and they sweated for the kobos we paid. they became such a menace that we had to send them packing in their thousands, in order not to leave without their smelly garbage, we invented the 'Ghana-must-go' Bag.....we sent them off....the scavengers have returned to accra let this serve as a final warning to you to desist from calling a man names in his own community..... oh seems you are still hurt from the 'shoe-maker' actions your 'Bredas' did 'abroad' on those Lagos streets..... |

engine flush is known to damage seals. the effect is not immediate but it will definitely harden your seals and allow oil seepage into the combustion chambers. you get fairly white/bluish exhaust smoke after idling (after like 2 months from flush), then you start having oil shortages as your engine dies from self inflicted HIV. i service my vehicle at accredited centres with service plans (up to 200,000km from 0) and there is no part of the plans that requires an engine flush. best bet is ensure you have regular oil changes and maintain your vehicle with the right oil and parts. same goes with the fuel injector cleaners sold at filling stations... |
this post is a fraud and the article was not well researched. the picture used was gotten straight from wikipedia (Check http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Opel_insignia_4T_opc.jpg ) whilst am not disputing the fact that basketmouth ordered a factory custom vehicle, i believe the article is a gross misrepresentation of facts. Linka Ikeji even had the audacity to add her watermark to a downloaded picture as if to add credence. As of August 2011, over 400,000 Insignias have been sold. On April 26, 2012, the 500,000th Insignia was produced (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Opel_Insignia) The vehicle is fully available in showrooms in britain and i cringe reading such poor stuff. PLEASE!!! |

Yes. I simply pull over, enusre the doors are locked and AC on,seat reclined and I take a power nap. My senior colleague was involved in an accident while coming from a night vigil. Rammed into the back of a volkswagen transporter bus (faragon) and sent all four rear passengers to the hospital. He was not with his seat belt and crashed into the steering wheel and had glass cuts. Spent his whole salary on repairs and hospital bills. |

Section 1 sub section 1 of the University of Lagos Act, 1967 states thus: There is hereby established a University to be known as the University of Lagos (in this Act referred to as “the University”) to provide courses of instruction and learning in the faculties of arts, law, medicine, science, education, commerce and business administration, engineering, and any other faculties which may, from time to time, be approved under this Act. |
Rooneyboy: The bolded part of ur piece answers my question.nobody is disputing the fact that GEJ erred in changing the name. Your ability to continue mixing the constitution with a legislation is what humans can no longer understand. HE ERRED AGAINST A LEGISLATION AND NOT THE CONSTITUTION.......read this sentence again....SLOOOOOWLY |
Rooneyboy: I will strongly advice u stop contradicting urself.i now understand your thought process. i was trying to be diplomatic so as to give you a soft landng but it seems you want a hard-on. the legislature is one of the three arms of government. There is the executive (the president and all others responsible for the daily administration of the state; the legislature which is empowered to make laws and the judiciary tasked with interpreting these laws and ensuring they are adhered to) a legsilation is different from a constitution and it is clear you dont know the difference. A constitution is a set of fundamental principles or established precedents according to which a state or other organization is governed. These rules together make up, i.e. constitute, what the entity is. (reference: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Constitution) Legislation (or "statutory law" is law which has been promulgated (or "enacted" by a legislature or other governing body, or the process of making it. (Another source of law is judge-made law or case law.) Before an item of legislation becomes law it may be known as a bill, and may be broadly referred to as "legislation" while it remains under consideration to distinguish it from other business. Legislation can have many purposes: to regulate, to authorize, to proscribe, to provide (funds), to sanction, to grant, to declare or to restrict. (reference: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Legislation)whilst legislations deal ONLY with laws, Constitution deals with the core principles on which the state is established and governed. the constitution establishes the supremacy of the state. it defines the different arms of government and gives them both powers and limits. A legislation is however, a product of the legislature (through law enactment) or the judiciary (through precedents). University of Lagos was established and incorporated by THE UNIVERSITY OF LAGOS ACT 1967. This is the only legal reference to the establishment of the university. As a fact, the University of Lagos was not mentioned in the 1999 Nigeria Constitution. the only explicit reference to "University" was the University college at Ibadan and University College Teaching Hospital, (under the legislative list) it is so unfortunate that despite my clues and leads to you as regards this subject, you are still so determined to believe that Jonathan erred against the constitution and not a legislation in this regard. This is a public forum where learned fellas visit. You should not expect the common beer-parlour argument skills to make your points valid here. if the only kind of refutation you can provide from this moment is still based on this alomo kind of assumptions, am sorry i wont be able to respond to you again. In summary, a legislation is different from a constitution. Ask google if you are still in doubt. thank you |
genxris: I said it before and i stand to be corrected that a typical yoruba man (including some non-yorubas that grew up in youruba land) is only good at opening their dirty amala mouth to insult and abuse their fathers.you are so tribalistic....wage better wars boy, dont belittle your self with such generalisations.....you start a conversation with "a typical yoruba man..." and expect your next sentences to be held in high esteem? |
